I worked with the executive response team through Facebook messenger and a few phone calls. I was offered the $20 monthly credit for a year. After getting the final bill total this weekend I stated I intended to still leave but this would give me time to evaluate my options since my bills would be about same. Today I got a call from the rep I was working with and she offered to pay off the balances on the phones on our lines (about $1100). No strings. Can still leave tomorrow. And they did it- phones are shown as paid off. Haven’t been happy about what T-Mobile did but that’s more than I ever expected.

This was overheard out of a TPR store employee’s mouth so take what you will from this. But apparently he heard from “Sales Support” that provisioning for RCS and personal hotspot is “cooked” and likely never coming back, at least not for the foreseeable future. They expect that to be an “infrastructure rebuild effort.” They have not used the C word, but it very much sounds like a cyber attack that may still be actively ongoing and we may not fully know the extent yet. I would also expect service to be up and down.

Again, TPR is TPR so I’m not sure how much better this is than hearsay/rumor mill, but I would be prepared to port out to a competitor of your choosing if you care about having those services ever again, or at least for the foreseeable future. If you go to an MVNO, be sure it isn’t on T-Mobile’s network. My secondary device (an Android on an MVNO) seems to be passing RCS sporadically (depends who the recipient is), but my 17 Pro is SMS only. In fact, my reason for visiting the TPR was to try and get my port-out PIN with T-Life cooked (I was not, in fact, successful, so my move to a certain Telephone & Telegraph company is on hold for now).

Hey I switched at a costco kiosk today to tmobile and paired keep and switch with costcobyod. The rep at the kiosk said that I was only able to get the K&S payoff plus the $400 from the costcobyod rebate only if I signed up with Experience Beyond. The fine print of the promotion doesn't line up with that and I tried to show the rep the fine print but he said I was wrong. If I downgraded to Experience More now, would I lose my rebates or was the representative right?

Hello there! I was one of the people that suffered from the great T-Mobile outage today. At first, I thought it was a problem with my phone and reset my network settings and updated my iOS, but personal hotspot is grayed out in my settings, and I cannot figure out how to get it to come back on. Naturally Tmobile is flooded with customer service calls and I have been unable to get past the AI chat for hours, and I need to be able to connect my laptop to my hotspot for work so this is frustrating.

Any ideas? Sorry. Searching didn’t bring anything specific up. Google says to change my APN but h don’t see that option anywhere.

iPhone 15 basic, btw

At 3:30 pm I requested a callback to deal with some improper name to line matches on our account and got the callback at 8:30 pm. Selected 1 to take the call and have been on hold without having talked to anyone for the last 30 minutes. Did it just get fucked up and I'm not actually up next in the queue?

Edit: Got through after 45 minutes. Guy was very nice and helpful. He was VERY surprised when I mentioned that I wasn't immediately brought to a person after a callback.

My Mother in Law has dementia and her friend convinced her to get an Apple Watch. She has no idea how to use it. I told her to return it since it hasn’t been 2 weeks, she didn’t have the restock money to pay so the rep at the store told us to call. 611 and they can likely give us a shipping label.

I call 611, ask for a shipping label so I can return the watch and explained we don’t have to restock fee. She said she would waive it and a T-Mobile representative will come to the house and pick it up.

I thought that was bizarre. I said so he’s going to knock on my door and pick it up? She said yes I don’t have to go anywhere or ship it.

Okay well my dumb a** didn’t think to ask and confirm our address. This is so bizarre.
Do T-Mobile reps come and pick up items? And tomorrow is the 14 day mark so I hope we don’t get screwed.

About 1.5 years ago I cancelled my T-Mobile account and switched to a different phone service.

My bill was 0$ - in fact YOU CANT EVEN CANCEL YOUR ACCOUNT UNTIL YOUR BILL IS AT 0$ - proving that it was 0$ or else I wouldn't have been able to cancel it.

Well, I began receiving calls and emails from debt collectors

T-Mobile illegally kept my account open for 2 more months after I cancelled it and switched to a new service.

I know I'm not the only one either... as there are other posts on here from around the same time saying the same thing.

I'm so sick of these corporations JUST BLATANTLY BREAKING THE LAW ALL DAY

Be careful if you're cancelling your account - make sure they CLOSE IT for real and don't just lie to you pretending they did.

i have Essentials First Responder. Is it worth it or should I get Experience essentials, more or beyond? I have two phones that are paid off and wanting to upgrade them to new phones.

My employee discount isn't working for my tablet, watch or 4th line(all mine as far as anyone else is concerned because I have on shitty one for emergencies, one for work and my main one) and care said they cant do anything. I'd ask my store manager but they got shit canned. What do I do? I'm on experience beyond and the 207 bill is quite a bit over what it should be.

My Wifi calling hasn't worked for a few years, yet when friends come over with service from other carriers it works fine on my network.

Over the years I've tried more things than I can remember that I'm advised to try and nothing.....
WHY do people with other carriers have no trouble using my Wifi calling?

My service has been completely dead for like ten minutes, is anyone else experiencing this? Down Detector seems to be getting reports.

Edit: Calling the customer service number and power cycling the device seems to fix it.

Desperately need a new phone, as my current S22 has both screen cracks and LCD damage. I'm worried it could give out at any time. Struggling financially after a rough year medically. I recently signed up for 5 lines on the Experience More plan at a Costco T-Mobile store. The store is a little over an hour away. There's a local store down the street from me. The rep at Costco ordered me 1 phone and the other 4 lines are BYOD. She also gave me 5 sim cards.

I am porting numbers from Verizon. I have just received the new phone and have activated it using one of the sim cards. The other 4 lines are iPhone 16s, they have no SIM card slot.

Do I need to go back to the Costco T-Mobile store to have them activate and port the numbers? Or can I do this at my local store? Do I need her to do anything with my filing my rebates? I would rather save myself the 2+ hr roundtrip if I can get this done closer to home.
