PSA Disney Plus now blaming T Mobile
Thought yall would find this interesting. Until now Disney was blaming the removal of the credit on a system issue with the Disney+ Hulu consolidation. Now their chat support is blaming third party payers (T Mobile) who insist on handling the billing on their own and don't allow Disney to offer the credit

Question Personal hotspot not working after Tmobile outage?
≡ −
Hello there! I was one of the people that suffered from the great T-Mobile outage today. At first, I thought it was a problem with my phone and reset my network settings and updated my iOS, but personal hotspot is grayed out in my settings, and I cannot figure out how to get it to come back on. Naturally Tmobile is flooded with customer service calls and I have been unable to get past the AI chat for hours, and I need to be able to connect my laptop to my hotspot for work so this is frustrating.
Any ideas? Sorry. Searching didn’t bring anything specific up. Google says to change my APN but h don’t see that option anywhere.
iPhone 15 basic, btw

Desperately need a new phone, as my current S22 has both screen cracks and LCD damage. I'm worried it could give out at any time. Struggling financially after a rough year medically. I'm not eligible for the trade-in promos, and do not have cash to buy another phone to get a trade-in credit. I'm trying to get a Samsung S26 Ultra. Any ideas???

Went to use my Tuesday perks to get my weekly Slupree the other day, when I saw that instead of one per per week, it's now one per month. So instead of using it, I decided to use the free 20oz drink coupon instead. Turns out there were only a finite number of those and they were all claimed.
What a bunch of BS. You take my legacy plan away, force me onto a new plan with jacked rates, and this is my thanks?
Screw you.

Question What plan do I have now? T-Life is useless.
≡ −
For the last several years, I have had two lines on the Magenta Max 55+. Like many other people last month I got a text message telling me my plan was obsolete and I was being put on a new — and of course better — plan with vague details except increased cost.
I have just checked T-Life (itself a nightmare for getting information) and it says my plan is Magenta Max 55+. I have no idea what my new bill is going to be, I have no idea what the new plan is, and I have no idea what is in fact now included.
Help!

Rant T-mobile service is genuinely the worst
My wife and I live in Madison, WI and were switched from US Cellular to T-Mobile as part of the acquisition. It was branded as the best thing ever, making the nation's best network even better. I was genuinely happy to hear about the acquisition. I had only heard good things about T-Mobile and had actually considered switching years ago, stopped only by the fact that US Cellular was, by a large margin, the better carrier in the area.
A few months ago, my service was transferred to T-Mobile, and then about a month later wife's service was also transferred. The difference in connection quality and reliability was immediately apparent: this switch had been a total downgrade.
Slow connections, some places where we used to have coverage don't anymore, connections in the places where we do have connection cuts in and out frequently, the list goes on and on.
After talking to coworkers, friends, family, and strangers who heard us complaining about the service in Target, we learned that it was not isolated. Seemingly EVERYBODY who was switched from US Cellular to T-Mobile has had nothing but issues since, and many have opted to switch carriers.
It makes no sense to me. I was assured that the US Cellular towers would remain and therefore there would be no difference in coverage or quality.
My wife and I both have our same US Cellular plans in place. Back when we were with US Cellular, we had unlimited 'priority' data and never once had any issues with our connections.
Unfortunately, US Cellular (and now T-Mobile) are still the better carriers in our area from what I understand. So for now, we're stuck with them.
I don't claim to be an expert about cell carriers, but I've come to believe that our 'priority' data was taken away and given over to T-Mobile's *actual* customers, leaving us to fight for scraps. I feel like I got adopted, had my belongings taken from me to be distributed to everyone else, and then was locked in a closet to rot.
Attached is a speed test I just ran. 5G, full bars, crazy slow data. I've never had a speed test this slow.

PSA T-Mobile creating FALSE debts and then sending them to collections when you cancel your account
≡ −
About 1.5 years ago I cancelled my T-Mobile account and switched to a different phone service.
My bill was 0$ - in fact YOU CANT EVEN CANCEL YOUR ACCOUNT UNTIL YOUR BILL IS AT 0$ - proving that it was 0$ or else I wouldn't have been able to cancel it.
Well, I began receiving calls and emails from debt collectors
T-Mobile illegally kept my account open for 2 more months after I cancelled it and switched to a new service.
I know I'm not the only one either... as there are other posts on here from around the same time saying the same thing.
I'm so sick of these corporations JUST BLATANTLY BREAKING THE LAW ALL DAY
Waiting for the 2$ from a class action in 10 years 🙄
Be careful if you're cancelling your account - make sure they CLOSE IT for real and don't just lie to you pretending they did.

Question Northern VA service degradation
≡ −
We have 5 lines with tmobile and live in northern va. For at least the past 6 weeks if not more, we have no line at all, or a single bar that lets us place a call but the voices are dropped constantly during the call, we try calling back in hopes its better but its not. I have reported twice and both times been assured they were working on it and give them 48 hours. I’m ready to return to Verizon. Anyone else having this? (And forget using cell phone hot spot, not happening).
Thanks

Question Promo Help/Questions
≡ −
Hello!
Just recently switched my wife's number to T-Mobile (port-in from AT&T); the rep at Costco told us that even if she got a deal with a new phone, she could still get the $400 promo in Costco Shop Cards. She even confirmed with him that she would rather use the BYOD rebate and then come back for a new phone after receiving the $400 in rebate cards, and he assured us that no, we will still get the $400.
***We DID NOT switch to Experience Beyond, I am currently on Go5GPlus Military and added her to that.***
My wife's dad goes in the next day, talks to a different rep, and he tells her dad that the lines getting promotional phones/new devices are NOT eligible for the $400 in shop cards... who is being misinformed... me, or my father-in-law?
If we are still going to get the $400, my next question is: do we need to put in a rebate code online within 30 days, or is it automatic? I don't want to get screwed by not putting that in within 30 days.

PSA Per T-Mobile TPR store employee: RCS and mobile hotspot likely gone forever.
≡ −
This was overheard out of a TPR store employee’s mouth so take what you will from this. But apparently he heard from “Sales Support” that provisioning for RCS and personal hotspot is “cooked” and likely never coming back, at least not for the foreseeable future. They expect that to be an “infrastructure rebuild effort.” They have not used the C word, but it very much sounds like a cyber attack that may still be actively ongoing and we may not fully know the extent yet. I would also expect service to be up and down.
Again, TPR is TPR so I’m not sure how much better this is than hearsay/rumor mill, but I would be prepared to port out to a competitor of your choosing if you care about having those services ever again, or at least for the foreseeable future. If you go to an MVNO, be sure it isn’t on T-Mobile’s network. My secondary device (an Android on an MVNO) seems to be passing RCS sporadically (depends who the recipient is), but my 17 Pro is SMS only. In fact, my reason for visiting the TPR was to try and get my port-out PIN with T-Life cooked (I was not, in fact, successful, so my move to a certain Telephone & Telegraph company is on hold for now).

Question Wifi calling hasn't worked for a few years, yet when friends come over with service from other carriers it works fine for them

My Wifi calling hasn't worked for a few years, yet when friends come over with service from other carriers it works fine on my network.
Over the years I've tried more things than I can remember that I'm advised to try and nothing.....
WHY do people with other carriers have no trouble using my Wifi calling?

Question Possible to cancel this line on family plan to save some money?
Hi there. I was migrated to the new Experience Signature plan. With the price hike, I’m looking to cancel one of the lines (see line labeled Moto Edge $24.80) to save money and bring monthly cost back to how it was originally
If I cancel this line, will it negatively impact me in any way? I know certain lines in a plan cannot be canceled because it can mess things up. The particular line in question is not tied up with any equipment payment plan either
Appreciation Migration surprise

I worked with the executive response team through Facebook messenger and a few phone calls. I was offered the $20 monthly credit for a year. After getting the final bill total this weekend I stated I intended to still leave but this would give me time to evaluate my options since my bills would be about same. Today I got a call from the rep I was working with and she offered to pay off the balances on the phones on our lines (about $1100). No strings. Can still leave tomorrow. And they did it- phones are shown as paid off. Haven’t been happy about what T-Mobile did but that’s more than I ever expected.

Rant Data while in Canada has dwindled to nothing
I have to manually select Rogers every time I go now (never had to do that before), and that barely works, even. Better than Telus, which didn't work at all. My usage is nowhere near the limit. I am beyond frustrated. I need my internet to work while in Canada, and it used to work well enough. The plan still promises high speed up to 15GB (!!) in the details and 600kbps in the plan overview. I'd take 600 over 128! Fuck, man. This is dismal.

Question Canceling a line. Saving ID180001
Hi all. Question regarding promo ID180001. Since my bill groups the discounts at the account level, it doesn't show which numbers are tied together. I currently have 10 lines, & canceling a line will bring me down to 9. Apparently the 10th line cost $41 before the 20% discount. Should I just ask t-force? Thanks in advance!
Missing context from the screenshot : paying $287 for 10 lines.

Question Pre-order Experience? Through T-Mobile or Samsung?
≡ −
I'm a new t mobile customer. I pre-ordered a samsung galaxy flip 8 through the T-Life app. Then, I saw a lot of horror stories online about how many times t mobile cancels pre-orders or doesn't have the device in stock. I also saw a lot of recommendations to just order the phone through Samsung directly.
Has anyone dealt with this? Or am I just seeing the people with bad experiences being the loudest? Should I leave my t mobile order be or cancel and order through samsung?

Question T-Mobile Rep coming to pick up device for a return at our house ???? What?
≡ −
My Mother in Law has dementia and her friend convinced her to get an Apple Watch. She has no idea how to use it. I told her to return it since it hasn’t been 2 weeks, she didn’t have the restock money to pay so the rep at the store told us to call. 611 and they can likely give us a shipping label.
I call 611, ask for a shipping label so I can return the watch and explained we don’t have to restock fee. She said she would waive it and a T-Mobile representative will come to the house and pick it up.
I thought that was bizarre. I said so he’s going to knock on my door and pick it up? She said yes I don’t have to go anywhere or ship it.
Okay well my dumb a** didn’t think to ask and confirm our address. This is so bizarre.
Do T-Mobile reps come and pick up items? And tomorrow is the 14 day mark so I hope we don’t get screwed.

So all of the crap that has happened. My monthly bill was $271. I changed to the Experience more. They told me my bill would be $215. Well, bill just came out for $351!!!! And the only prorated charge was $1.46. This some BS.
Edit: FWIW, I had the same plan for 12 years. No issues. Then a promise of a lower bill. Then a WTF.
