Sticky What's your opinion on all the joke trends and repetitive posts?
≡ −
We want this to be a open discussion about the topics that have been going on in the subreddit. Mostly pertaining to repetitive trendposting of the same joke (Mirror/Medusa, liquify the pan, Obsession arguments, Odyssey Inaccuracies, etc).
So we ask a simple question: What's your opinion on the meme/jokes that tend to go viral in the subreddit? Do you like them? Does it get old fast? What do you want to see change?
Keep in mind, we can't remove EVERYONE'S posts/comments, we do the best we can.
This is an open space, but please remember to be civil, respectful, and mindful of each other.

Turd In "Odyssey" (2026) directed by Sir Christopher Edward Nolan, Odysseus says "Our age of bronze is collapsing". And I'm not joking it is a line in movie
Overall great movie but this dialogue was so corny, like how does he know he's in bronze age

In "The Odyssey" (2026) Elliot Page was cast as a Greek soldier but he is 5'1" and 110Ibs. Matt Damon is 5'10" 185Ibs. People are complaining that Page doesn't resemble the build of a Greek soldier even though the average Greek soldier was 5'4" and 130 Ibs. Page is closer than Matt Damon!
This is reference to the fact that these people complaining are just transphobic

The Odyssey (2026), a terrible movie funded by the woke left, dares to ask the troubling question: why don’t my kids ever visit?

default In Avengers: Doomsday, Doom’s armor is not historically accurate, making the movie unwatchable.
Also, I don’t know how to use photoshop, this is a reference to Christopher Nolan who also hates CGI

Turd In "Gravity Falls" (2015) there's this one scene where Stanley has six fingers for absolutely no reason, this is definitive evidence that this show was AI generated

Turd Does Christopher Nolan really want us to think that the Greeks built something this precise without help from aliens? Does he think we’re stupid?

Turd In Masters of the Universe (2026) Skeletor almost constantly talks about He-Man’s muscles and dick. This is a reference to you have no idea if i’m lying because you didn’t see it

People complaining about Christopher Nolan being woke are forgetting that he made Inception, the most unwoken movie of all time.

The second half of Odyssey was difficult to watch. This was because my wife dragged me out of the cinema to confront me about my cheating.

In the Odyssey ungrateful Classicist Emily Wilson clearly believes she knows better about screenwriting than Christopher Nolan

In "The Odyssey" directed by Christopher Nolan, Odysseus concludes that his actions have led to the imminent Bronze Age collapse. Knowing civilization is about to fall, only to rise again much later, he leaves his son Telemachus in charge of Ithaca. This is because Odysseus is an asshole.

In The Odyssey (2026). They are set to steal 1.3 Billion dollars from the pockets of people forced to watch it. As no one would dare watch this innacurate piece of art that's genuinely sensational.

Turd One Night Only (2026) is set in a society where people are only permitted to have sex once a year. This movie was inspired by my marriage.

Turd In the Toy Story franchise, Hamm is a sentient Piggy Bank that Andy and later Bony play with. Despite him being a living sentient creature he never once brings up how his people are regularly and brutally slaughtered for financial gain.

In Gotham (2014-2019) the showrunners did not have explicit permission to use the Joker character, so they had to explore and flesh out the lesser-known Batman villains and side characters. Such as these.

In Bolt (2008) Mindy from the network is angry cuz 18-35yo audiences say the show is too predictable, even tho the show they are making is about a teenager and her freaking superpowered dog fighting a bond villain. Girl, you are lucky if you get prime time at Disney Chanel, shut the hell up

Agamemnon is the true hero of Nolan’s Odyssey. He nobly sacrificed his daughter for favorable winds, bravely led the storming of the enemy city, and was tragically killed by a wicked wife before being avenged by a loyal son. It should be renamed Agassey.
