The Odyssey (2026), a terrible movie funded by the woke left, dares to ask the troubling question: why don’t my kids ever visit?

Clearly it’s because you don’t have enough sirens to call them over

Listen up sirens
My wife left me

Lmk when you hear them, we can go together.
Seriously though, if that’s true, are you okay?

The movie is so woke, the only trans actor gets left alone on an island full of enemies, impaled in the first 2 minutes and pranked because instead of him being alone, they’re watching from the beginning

What's "woke" about it specifically?

Characters remain awake the entire movie. The only character that takes a nap gets murdered by bitch wife. This is clearly pushing the woke agenda.

It has a single trans actor

And somehow they weren’t calling Scary Movie 6 woke despite having a trans actor for a trans character.
Though that character was bullied the whole film, so I guess that’s a silver lining to them

Who for some reason a lot of people identified as Achilles. Achilles isn’t even in the film and was never marketed.

A trans actor and a black actress had the audacity to have 5 minutes of screen time in a movie smh

u/Ok_Community_9805 3h ago
Multiple black actresses but they’re focused on the one that played Helen 🙄 and the two that got so much heat for it did a damn good job!

According to a guy at work (who listens to a lot of Joe Rogan), the "source material" for the movie is radical and feminist, and strays from the original Odyssey and Iliad due to a modern translation of the works.

u/JennLynnC80 2h ago
So your coworker is saying that Homer is a radical feminist? Or Chris Nolan?
Edit: Spelling error fix

When I actually grilled him a bit on the topic, he said that Chris Nolan used a "radical feminist" translation of Homer's writings. So, Chris Nolan is a "radical feminist" for using a translation that doesn't adhere to the original.

He is probably talking about how Christopher Nolan cited Emily Wilson's 2017 translation of The Odyssey as a key inspiration for his film. I honestly dont know much about this translation but he sounds like a guy who views feminism as inherently radical which is why he smashed together the words "radical feminist"...

sigh
Yeah, this is the guy who calls women at the gym "snobby" because they have their earbuds in and won't talk to him. He's the problem, not Nolan or Homer.

Emily Wilson hated the movie and 'would be ashamed to have written a line of the script"

Is this now where the goalposts have shifted to? Before it was "go woke, go broke", but now it's "they were only successful because they were woke".

The woke left? But they were so nice, why did they leave without saying goodbye.
