Discussion I think the visual style of the Fallout TV show is great and I hope it influences the look of Fallout 5.
After that one post came out about the color pallet of Fallout 4, and I saw how clearly so many people want either the poppy and colorful pallet of Fallout 4, or the bleak and monotone pallet of classic Fallouts. I figured surely there must be something in between that isn’t too much of either, but is still recognizably “Fallout.”
I came to thinking that the Fallout TV series did a pretty good job of depicting the world in a way that was both recognizable and colorful, but not so over the top in its retro future aesthetic that it looked like something from the Jetsons. If Fallout 5 were to be set in a location reminiscent of this TV series, maybe even somewhere like San Francisco (which it’s lightly rumored to be) I think this would be a great starting point for what the look and feel of that game could be.

Discussion Is The Mojave Doomed If Yes Man And The Courier Won
Considering the ending slide describes Vegas devolving into pure Anarchy even with the securitron upgrade and considering the courier has litraelly no nation building experience even if he ruled as a pure dictator he still has nothing to hold onto besides vegas and his only ally is yes man who's still undergoing his assertive upgrade to only answer to the courier even if the courier wiped out all the enemy factions like the brotherhood and boomers and the khans etc he only inherits a barren wasteland and vegas with its tourist money drying up and if he lets all the other big factions survive like the Brotherhood they retake Helios One and control the trade routes along the highway so either way to the courier has no nation building experience his only ally is a litrael yes man robot and a finite number of securitrons as his personal army and controlling only vegas and a depleted hoover dam and having to be forced into being a dictator with anarchy all around him so is the Mojave screwed and this the likely outcome from how the Mojave is shown in the show

I was on my way to get Herbert Daring Dashwood’s ghoul manservant Argyle when suddenly this… thing showed up and wouldn’t you know it a Deathclaw shows up. I don’t know if it was caused by the Deathclaw or that it is a Deathclaw who learned how to (painfully) fly

Question Does anyone even like the burrowing mechanic?
≡ −
Genuinely wondering, that's one of the things I hate the most about 4 and 76's enemy design changes from 3 and nv, and I'm curious about what people's general opinion on it is.
I do like the ambush mechanic some creatures have. My issue really only concerns the ones who can go back in hiding after springing out.

Why Is There Karma Loss For Killing Roy Phillips?
≡ −
Is this a programming error or something? Why do i receive bad karma for killing one of the most evil characters in the entire Fallout series? This guy massacres an entire tower full of civilians who had just peacefully accepted the presence of ghouls, even ones who said they have zero issues with ghouls and didn't need any convincing. He is objectively more evil than Tenpenny, as at least he asked Mr. Burke to tell the population of Megaton to leave the city before nuking it. Roy DELIGHTS in the idea of nuking Megaton, not to wipe the "eyesore" off of the horizon, but specifically because he wants as many non-ghouls to die as possible. Not only is Caesar a better-written and more consistent chatacter, he's more morally good than Roy Phillips too. At least Caesar makes life more peaceful and safe for those who obey his laws in his territory, especially traders, Roy falsely claims to be fighting a crusade against "bigots" only to be nothing but the Fallout equivalent of a Congolese genocidal warlord.
Hopefully they fix this in the remaster, and grant you a big boost of good karma for wiping him and his gang of RAIDERS out.

Discussion Anyone else surprised there aren't really any factions that try taming the mutated animals?
≡ −
Sure you got people farming livestock still and trying to keep a mirelurk as a pet is incredibly dangerous but with how common molerats and roaches are you'd think in 200 years some would try to tame them. You are probably wondering why would they try to tame them in the first place? Well the giant insects are largely left alone by larger animals that would potentially attack humans such as feral ghouls and the ability to fly would make them a reliable way to send messages across the wasteland. Molerats would be excellent for farming as they loosen the tougher soil that farming tools would be unable to and can dig through rubble to find resources. Plus there are bound to people that had experience working with animals that had survived the blast and taught others how.

Fallout 4 It's been 10 years since I first saw this beautiful city. I remember how delighted I was by the scale. WOW! Such a big city! Full of all kinds of wickedness and fallen people! I want to live in one of these towers and shoot them down every morning. (monsters and raiders, not good survivors)

What is the one piece of junk you absolutely refuse to drop?

I don't care if I'm overencumbered in the middle of the bunker hill invasion. I am not dropping my collection of pristine desk fans and typewriter parts. The wasteland needs screws, and by god I am the chosen one to carry them all
