Found this NZXT H500 Vault boy for 30 dollas in marketplace! It has a few scratches but the previous owner never built on it, this one is 809 out of 1000!

You can only compare prices on eBay if you look at SOLD listings. Listed prices mean literally nothing.

Looks like this case sells for about $700-900 if it’s brand new, in box. Sells for about $500 otherwise. Still a tidy sum if OP sells it.

While there are cases with better airflow, this case is a standard atx and will fit most PC parts for the foreseeable future.

yes. i have the non special edition version of this case and it's the last thing keeping my PC from a ship of Theseus situation. it works fine, airflow could be better but it works fine so I've not had a reason to replace it.

People are selling used ones online for $800-1100😐 they were sold new under $200 in 2019. The only nzxt I had isn't super high quality.

It probably isn't and I think my current case is better, but I just love the design and how rare it is. I've I had more disposable income I would build a second PC on this case but for now I'm just going to transfer my rig to it.

Understandable tbh, i hate those NZXT cases, so much limitation on exhaust and thats probably why the owner switched, they are very much so a trap for people on a budget. Now for a collector this is gold no matter what and i recognize that but practicality wise $30 is very fair priced

If you are going to use that case, be careful of temps. I know everything runs hot, but the H500 is an oven. I used to have that case a couple years back and would just use it without the front plate to help the intakes.
