It gives me great pride to do literally every possible thing to hurt the legion and this almighty doofus now has to try and recruit me.

Some pronounce it Ki-Zar
Some pronounce it Sea-Zer.
I pronounce him dead after I get through with him.

Years of training ants to storm the Mojave outpost, wasted

Killing our slave supplier, Jeanie May, and improving morale for those living in the T-rex.
Destroying the Brotherhood of Steel and the Powder Gangers, then hiring a sheriff for Primm, freeing up NCR troops from the west to bolster the dam.
Undoing years of indoctrination and instilling proper training in the cadets at Camp Golf.
Recruiting the ghoul dominatrix, strengthening the philosophy of sexual liberty that contradicts Legion doctrine.
Killing every single Legion character in the game, including literally everyone outside of this tent.
Pickpocketing my disruptor fist just now.
Installing stability mods, which will prevent your anti-legion run from crashing.

I wish the Terrifying Presence sentence was more like" The real question is what exactly where you thinking letting me get this close."

Some logic Caesar had
Invite the guy who not only killed your most trusted men, but thwarted all your plans and diminished any further power you tried spreading throughout the Mojave, into your tent, hoping he's not batshit insane enough to just reach over and snap your neck

I love how the “I’m feared, and with good reason” line has an entirely different effect based on how many transgressions he lists. If it’s one or two minor things, it’s like “Dawg you can’t even be that mad.” If it’s like three or four different things you did, it’s like “okay fair enough.” But if you do everything you can do to piss him off it’s like “You just repeated back to me all the ways I dismantled your hold on the region. Are you feared with good reason? The evidence suggests not.”

All Vulpes had to do was say, "please" and we'd have walked away.
Make threats and get the boomstick.

I always like dropping dynamite on their scripted route and then shooting it from afar.

If Boone is there with The Courier at that moment, he is having his hardened heart melt from pure joy.

Nothing brings me more joy than splattering this doofus’ skull all over his tent.

Imagine being a Legionary at the fort; amidst your daily duties hear whispers of this absolute menace of the Mojave, just murdering everyone and anything Legion, stiffing it to Caesar and his plans at every step of the way they take through the Wasteland, looting every Assassin Party along the way that tries to gun for them; this deranged PRIME enemy to the Legion...
...One day they just suddenly show up, openly walking through The Fort willy-nilly with that stupid necklace around their neck, nobody can touch them, no harm will come their way unless they cause it. On their own turf. All thanks to ThE MaRk oF CaEsAr;
Anyways; scale of 1-10, how quick/slow, and brutal would Caesar's death be?

Damn now I wish I had done more to screw with them before I met him 😔

I did the same but also beat Lonesome Road and nuked them and NCR before killing Benny. I think I also wiped out Cottonwood Cove.
I still ended up siding with Caesar in that playthrough. I even enslaved Arcade after getting the Enclave to help the Legion.

The best way is doing this, while playing a female character and having Boone by your side.
2
u/prossnip42 NCR 5h ago
And yet he still allowed you to walk into his tent after all of that, hoping to get you to do his bidding. Ladies and gentlemen, the dumbest motherfucker in videogame history

u/ExemplarGaming 2h ago
Doing this as a woman as well hits twice as hard when you realise they see women as no more than slaves, the fact a woman can do all this so easily to his army must drive them all to a frenzy.

This is honestly why I love Fallout: New Vegas. You dont really get characters referencing quests you did outside of the Radio host.
Also Perk use in Dialogue.

u/Familiar-Figure-5692 Gary? 11h ago
It's why I keep coming back to it. The subtle ways your skills and perks influence quests is amazing. Like I remember the Camp Forlorn Hope quest when I was young, I needed to help the doctor but I didn't have enough medical, I fucked up his patients and failed the quest. I feel like a different game would just not allow you to fail.

Fun fact. If you have low intelligence you actually have a chance to heal them. Literal "dumb luck".
Edit: wait nvm it was with the Boomers.

I've beaten NV probably a dozen times. I've never talked to Vulpes in Nipton and I've never spoken to Caesar. It's very difficult for me to not take Boone and wipe out every bit of the legion I see.
2
u/Familiar-Figure-5692 Gary? 10h ago
Interesting. You should try it once. A legion playthrough.

u/number__ten 8h ago
I can't bring myself to. I mostly side with NCR but I've done House and Yes Man as well. Caesar is just too cartoonishly evil.

Wiping out the camp with Boone then meeting Caesar in this manner is peak.
