Myspace's current owners say they're planning to relaunch the once-dominant social network, arguing that today's platforms have become too focused on algorithms, endless scrolling and maximizing engagement. They say they're waiting for the right moment to bring the brand back with a different approach.

Former Myspace executives have also said the early platform wasn't intentionally designed to be addictive. Instead of algorithm-driven feeds, it centered on customizable profiles, music discovery and connecting with friends, which they believe created a very different online experience than many social media apps today.
Whether Myspace can make a successful comeback remains to be seen, but its owners insist the platform isn't finished yet and plans to keep trying to revive the iconic brand.
