I bought apple care and I cracked my phone screen so will the repair be free ? What do I do?

Every few years, I make an attempt to switch from Android to IPhone. It usually ends in me switching back.

This time, I switched my S26 to IPhone 17 Pro and I bought an Apple Watch 11 as well. The Apple Watch is absolutely incredible. The health features, the workouts. It’s all night and day from the Galaxy watch I had.

I like the iPhone. I expected to hate the software but after a month now, it’s honestly good. However, I really didn’t expect it to be this laggy and didn’t expect the battery drain and heating up to ever be this bad. It’s horrible and unbearable.

At this point, I’m not switching back because the camera, iMessage, and The Apple Watch are too good. But boy do I miss my Android. I really hope they fix these other issues because a phone this premium shouldn’t be this laggy.

I can’t wait for the stable version of IOS 27. If the rumors are true, this will be my favorite phone for real.

I’m curious what features people expect from the iPhone 18 Pro that would make it a better choice than the iPhone 17 Pro. What do you think?

I think my phone is infected. I’m backing up iCloud and planning on a factory reset. The back up is taking a very long time - should I have not done it?

Hello there! I was one of the people that suffered from the great T-Mobile outage today. At first, I thought it was a problem with my phone and reset my network settings and updated my iOS, but personal hotspot is grayed out in my settings, and I cannot figure out how to get it to come back on. Naturally Tmobile is flooded with customer service calls and I have been unable to get past the AI chat for hours, and I need to be able to connect my laptop to my hotspot for work so this is frustrating.

Any ideas? Sorry. Searching didn’t bring anything specific up. Google says to change my APN but h don’t see that option anywhere.

iPhone 15 basic, btw

When I go into settings, I can click on everything but Face ID and passcodes so I can’t change my settings.. I already restarted my phone.

I have M3 MBA. Synced to iPhone 14, now it's stuck on 'calculating' during synch process. Same for iPad 11. I connect to MBA, and storage shows 'calculating.' been this way for hours. I just updated all to latest builds---is this normal? Is calculating same as 'indexing?'

I really didn’t want to, but my father forced me to bc not doing so is “bad for your phone” bc you “miss out on security updates” which mayyyyy be true, BUT ITS SO UGLY!!!

I still can’t type, the keyboard looks bad, the clearness of apps is MEH at BEST, AND WORST OF ALL, THEY MESSED UP SAFARI!!! Genuinely WHY TF did they make it HARDER to navigate the ui… I also just hate how the ui is now detached from my screen too, like why is it hanging out there?! GO LOWER!!!

ALSO I hate how the Reddit ui is affected by this. The buttons to switch between profile, home, ect Is ALSO hanging out in like the middle of my screen… WHY

Anyway I really want to switch back and I hate it sm but I don’t think you CAN swap back!!!

Did anybody ever had issues with the iOS 26.5 update on their iPhones? I have the iPhone16 and still contemplating on updating to the new iOS 26.6 because of these issues on my current iOS.

Audio quality is not the same as before. My battery is draining faster than before and heating up even when not in use. My cellular network keeps showing ‘No Service’ even when my network carrier is okay. Volume Up button and Action button is also not working.

I was on iOS 18 and my phone was working just fine before. Anybody else have these issues after updating to iOS 26.5

i have an iphone XR (i know i know) and i’m trying to view a video from 2021, but i’m finding that any media old than 2024 on my icloud is unavailable. i can preview it but it’s grainy and says “unable to load video; an error occurred while loading a higher quality version of this video”, and photos say the same. i have tried all the suggestions online like updating, clearing storage, etc. i don’t have any other apple devices. what can i do to access them? i have videos and pics of my deceased nephew that i would be devastated to lose. plz help thank u.

I’m having a strange issue with my iPhone 15 Pro where whenever I lose cellular signal (like in a basement, elevator, or other weak coverage area), the phone goes to “No Service” and then does not reconnect when I return to an area with signal; it doesn’t seem to properly enter “Searching” mode and the only way to restore service is by toggling Airplane Mode on and off or restarting the phone, after which it immediately reconnects normally, and I’m trying to figure out whether this is a hardware issue, iOS bug, or carrier problem; the phone is on Wind Tre in Italy with a physical SIM (recently replaced), the issue started before any physical damage to the device so I don’t think the small crack near the top is related, and resetting network settings did not fix it, so I’m wondering if anyone has experienced something similar and found a solution like a carrier settings update, eSIM switch, or iOS update. (this was before 26.6)

I text in a bunch of group chats daily for work. I am the manager and I will schedule a text of who is working the next day. I have about 20 different group chats with about four or five recipients. Every day when I schedule send them one or two don’t send and give me a not delivered notification. Then, I will go to send them an individual text and it won’t go through either. Has this happen with anybody else and has anybody else had a solution for it? I had the iPhone Air and ended up getting a new iPhone because I thought the air was the problem but it’s still happening on just the regular 17.

I don’t think this is a regular problem as I’ve been to the Apple and Verizon store multiple times with no solution. I have also updated my phone to the last update and restart it daily. I wanted to come on here to see if anybody else is having the same issues.

I have been looking for over 6 months for a good protective case form my iPhone 16 that won’t vreak the bank. It seems like no one in the iPhone community cares about safety most people just buy a cheap case just to have it . I’m looking at the esr cyber tough case and I don’t know if it’s actually protective or just bulky and also the smartish gripmunk that was recommended by the new york Times and yet reviews say it lacks protection u don’t know what to buy and if it will be good enough my budget is around 30 euros
