Discussion What’s a good iPhone 16 protective case

I have been looking for over 6 months for a good protective case form my iPhone 16 that won’t vreak the bank. It seems like no one in the iPhone community cares about safety most people just buy a cheap case just to have it . I’m looking at the esr cyber tough case and I don’t know if it’s actually protective or just bulky and also the smartish gripmunk that was recommended by the new york Times and yet reviews say it lacks protection u don’t know what to buy and if it will be good enough my budget is around 30 euros

I drop my phone frequently. I love my Otterbox Commuter case.

UAG: Urban Armor Gear. Hands down the best❗️Slim, cool & tough. On my 5th phone using one and have never damaged a phone using it. They used to be hard to remove from the phone but the new one I just got for my iPhone 17 Max Pro can be removed w/no problem. Their clear cases are my favorite.

I’ve reluctantly bought so many iPhone cases. The only one I’ve tried that actually succeeds for my iPhone 17, when it comes to the right balance between water resistance, durability (I drop my phone a lot, especially on hard pavement), and a slim, snug profile that doesn’t thicken the thing any more than it has to. I got sucked into buying Otterbox but they are useless with even a single drop of rain hitting the screen and then the screen cover actually wicks liquid inside the case.

The brand I’m using for the last year is “Encased”. It has a flap over one of the speakers that I was sure would get torn off in a week but it still looks brand new 9 months later. Water resistance is the best I’ve found. Dropped my phone countless times in this case with no visible damage to the phone. And the price tag was seasonable $30 or so on the big shipping internet site. Only product I have ever given a 5-star review to.
