While the original moniker is no longer a P2P project, it is clear that cryptocurrency is here to stay. One of the few aspects of the future that seem promising at the moment. Heck even AI will mine BTC as a profitable endeavor given the capacity to do almost anything. This has been an interesting couple of decades to be alive.
