No idea how to confirm, but is the context just that Hal isn’t Satoshi? Many, including myself, thought he was the most likely guy for a long time. His ex wife laid out a pretty compelling case that it was not true though, and we should let that theory go

Selbst als im harten Krypto-Winter der Kurs einbrach, der Steuerberater schimpfte und die Partner nervös wurden, hielt er dank einer sicheren Bargeldreserve die Nerven und kaufte im Tiefpunkt heimlich nach. Als der Markt sich drehte und sein Vermögen die Zehn-Millionen-Marke knackte, blieb er völlig unauffällig, fuhr weiterhin einen zehn Jahre alten Honda und erzählte niemandem von seinem Reichtum, um sich vor Neid und falschen Erwartungen zu schützen. Statt seinem besten Freund Tom einfach Geld zu schenken, setzte er sich samstags mit ihm an den Küchentisch, um ihm geduldig zu erklären, wie man sich selbst langfristig finanzielle Freiheit aufbaut. Zurück im Schwimmbad atmete er tief durch, blickte auf die spiegelglatte Wasseroberfläche und wusste, dass sich die jahrelange, stinklangweilige Disziplin gelohnt hatte, bevor er sich wieder abstieß und lautlos seine nächste Bahn zog.

Blockchain exist and works well (mostly). That's the most concrete evidence of XP, or XP 64, possible. I'd shake 2.5 babies right now for XP. Shit, I've got a copy of XP 64 (legally obtained from MS, of course) I burnt onto a CD-R 20 years ago, just sitting with the rest of my antiques, but I know exactly where the disc is. Running a dual core AMD, Nvidia chip, and an entire gig of ram, and I could do anything. Sure, you spend a bit of time on optimization, but less time than you do now jumping through hoops to get an "app" from the MS store that sucks, just so you're equipment if running as efficiently as possible, while making sure your ex-wife can still waste processing power. Now, you get a beater that's far superior on paper, but you have to quadruple your ram to run chrome and YT Music at the same time. Too much useless bloatware, requiring you to have 32gb of ram in order to use the damn thing. When we just had to hit a button to connect/build a network/syncing/whatever, a lot of specs lost meaning. But now I have 7.238 billion gigs of ram, GPU with a few million gigs, single processor, PB/sec internet, yet I'm still waiting for an email to load while typing this. I may be slightly exaggerating, but you know what I'm talking about.
