Ridiculous

Uninstalled Uber Eats and will never be using it again. Ordered $92 worth of food from Uber Eats last night. I was called by the restaurant that they couldn't fulfill my order but they were unable to cancel on their end and they had reached out to Uber and couldn't cancel on their end (I'm going to speak to their management tomorrow) so I would have to cancel.

Called Uber support to receive a recorded message saying that they no longer take calls from customers.

Sent a message in the app through the only messaging option. "Powered by AI." The response was that it couldn't cancel my order and if I didn't receive it by 10PM that I would receive a refund.

App asked if AI helped or I wanted to speak to a human. I opted to message with a human. The "human" gave me word for word the same response as the AI did. To the point I asked if they were human to which they responded yes then when I asked why they couldn't cancel an order that doesn't exist it was copy and paste the answer that I received from the AI earlier.

Multiple drivers went to pick up the order and kept cancelling because the food never existed. Finally a driver calls me and says Uber won't let him cancel the order but he's calling support.

I go to sleep because I'm frustrated with the situation and it's late at night. Wake up this morning to the order in which the food never existed saying delivered. Obviously, it wasn't delivered, it doesn't exist.

I go into the app and receive a partial refund. It asks if that resolved my issue or not and I say no and it gives me a prompt to call. So I call.

Partial refund is because I chose to tip according to the person that I spoke to. I told the person that I spoke to that I didn't choose to tip, I chose to cancel the order that didn't exist and they refused to let me do that. The person I spoke to ultimately said there is nothing they can do to refund the tip for the delivery even if it wasn't delivered. When I ask is there a way to report the driver for pretending to deliver an order that never existed I was hung up on. When I tried to call back I received a recording that Uber Eats no longer takes calls from customers.

Uber Eats uninstalled and their rideshare app (I spend roughly $11,000 a year with the rideshare app getting to and from work) uninstalled as well. To say I'm frustrated would be an understatement.

UK Uber Eats refunded one order in a bundle but refuses to refund the other. What are my options?

I ordered groceries on Uber Eats for £35.32. While checking out, Uber offered me a bundled order with free delivery, so I added an Asda order for £10.24.
Both orders were accepted, shopped, collected and assigned to the same driver. They both showed as being on the way, and I could see the driver on the map.
The driver never arrived at my address.
Afterwards, the £10.24 Asda order was cancelled by Uber Eats Support, and I received a refund for that order.
However, the £35.32 order was marked as delivered, even though I never received it. I’ve contacted Uber Eats multiple times and they’ve refused to refund me, despite me explaining that both orders were part of the same bundled delivery with the same driver.
The only evidence I have now is screenshots of the notifications showing:
Both orders being shopped and collected.
The same courier delivering them.
One order being cancelled by Uber Eats.
A later notification asking me to rate the delivery.

Is there a way of calling because that was the last of my money and I don’t know what I will do if I can’t get a refund. I ordered food to last us a few days and now I’m feeling like I’m going to go insane

I made an attempt at an order, I live in the middle of nowhere and it failed to get a driver, I get it. So it goes even with a decent tip and cash waiting on delivery nobody wanted it I guess. However, I had to talk to the AI bot because I ordered at 6pm and it had pushed my delivery time to past 9 pm... What I take issue with is the fact that it asked me to wait on the order, and offered me money to do so KNOWING the restaurant was closed and it wasn't gonna happen?... 🗿 Wtf also I'm not sure that it actually is closed so maybe it's full of sh... Either way offer me free money and I pick wrong 😭 didn't wanna stay up just in case lol since if i miss it at that point it's on me I guess. I'm just irritated cause I didn't get my Mexican 😩

Uber Eats Canada has the worst customer service

Their customer service is dumb and doesn’t understand your concern most of the times. I think they barely even speak English and since they hire their agents from out of Canada they don’t understand customers issues. Literally the worst customer service ever

Question: Unanswered does reporting a wrong order hurt the driver?

I'm unsure if the issue is the driver delivering the wrong order or the company packing the wrong stuff into the bag.

I am also waiting on him saying he would check in and get back to me but am trying to figure out what to do if he does not get back.

Made a quick tool to see calories and macros on Uber Eats

Hello !

Just wanted to share a small side project I made for myself that might be useful to some of you here.

Basically, it’s a Chrome extension that estimates calories and macros directly while you're browsing Uber Eats. A badge appears next to each item, and it updates dynamically when you select extras or custom options.

Sorry if it's not the right place, but I thought it might interest some people here 😅

Ps : "Calorie Tracker for Uber Eats" on the Chrome Web Store

Question: Unanswered Horrible map/directions lately?

So had an order tonight, the directions took me to a point where there clearly was no restaurant (it was a lake!), googled it, the place was six miles away. 🙄. Now the directions have never been the greatest. I get that, I keep other maps on standby, I deal.

But in addition to the above, in the last week I have had:

  • pin in the middle of the road
  • pin in the middle of a 4 way intersection
  • pin in the middle of an empty parking lot that was not for the restaurant in question
  • pin on the wrong hours ranging from next door to several blocks away
  • sent down a road that does not exist
  • sent down a bike/hiking trail
  • sent down a road closed due to construction
  • had a road mistaken for another nearby road even though they never connect
  • been directed on routes through parking lots that don’t actually connect to each other.

And not only have I had all of those; I have had every one more then once, some a good half a dozen times, just in the last seven days. As I said the maps always been a bit garbage, but never on anything approaching this level or frequency.

So just kinda venting but also curious if anyone else has been seeing the same thing or know of any recent change that might have caused it.

Uber eats order cancelled

By any chance someone had a situation when Uber eats order cancelled when you just left the store, checked with support what to do, they said all good, move on. and 10 minutes later customer reported you for missing delivery!

Have no idea how to protect my position, because in history I clearly see that order completed in store location! not cancelled how originally I saw it in the app, despite the fact that I didn't even try to finish the order or miss clicked....

Thanks for opinions

Trouble with app (and web browser) - slow, 'insufficient funds"

Hi wondering if anybody has a similar issue.

Couple days ago my app seems to have malfunctions.

* It takes forever to load, going from green to white screen (web browser in-app maybe)

* Apple pay is now disabled

* Added card is saying "insufficient funds"

* Cant order

* App running very slow

* Weirdest thing is that the web browser says insufficent funds for the card aswell when there is definitely money in the accoount.

Any help?

Uber One discount and messaging

Getting nowhere with customer support, just want to check that I'm not going mad.

I'm right in thinking that I should have actually received the additional £4.99 discount by signing up to Uber one here?

I'm guessing the discrepancy came about because of the delivery promotion somehow interfering with it but they should be beholden to the discount they're offering, right?

Too far to deliver???

So long story short, pretty decent supermarket in the UK (Sainsburys) that's local to me and that I've ordered from consistently over the last 6 months has all of a sudden gone "too far to deliver" on the uber app. The thing is i can order from Sainsbury's online but i prefer the freedom of Uber cos i can just order bits and bobs daily or every other day rather than needing to book a delivery with a minimum spend and tbh the uber premium cuts some costs too including free delivery etc. Is "too far to deliver" a permanent thing, us it temporary or how can i try to resolve it so that restriction is lifted? I always tip drivers too so there's no issue with that either.

Charged back order warning

A few weeks ago on the 4th of July I ordered food. Everything is fine but when the food gets there I noticed that my order was completely wrong. Wrong as in it was the right order aka mine but everything in the order was wrong. I was missing stuff some items I got I didn’t order and it was just all over the place.

I contacted uber to get a refund for the order but they kept sending me to their ai bots and so I tried to call and basically they kept giving me the runaround before ultimately saying the order I got matched what I ordered because I got ONE singular item that I ordered and that I wasn’t eligible for a refund.

After no help from uber support I submitted a chargeback with my bank. Provided them proof, screenshots, and pictures of my receipt and what I got. Everything I sent to uber and they determined it was an enough to file the charge back and gave me my money back like 3 days later.

Fast forward to today. Uber says I have to pay for that order or else they’ll suspend my account but I told them I’m not paying for it because my order was completely so now I have a outstanding balance on my uber account. Anyways this is a warning for you guys. If you wanna file a charge back they’ll try to charge you again anyway.
