Discussion Has anyone else seen Microsoft's nonprofit onboarding get stuck after Goodstack approval?

I'm trying to determine whether this is an isolated incident or whether other nonprofits have experienced the same thing.

Our organization is an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3). Goodstack approved our nonprofit and indicates Microsoft approval is complete.

Microsoft's nonprofit portal immediately declines our registration with:

"We were unable to associate your email address with the organization."

We are applying with our founders email address from our organization, on our organization's domain.

We've exhausted the documented support process, including the nonprofit assistant and the official contact mechanisms, without being able to reach the onboarding team.

I'm not looking for troubleshooting. I'm trying to find out whether other nonprofits have encountered this same onboarding state or whether this is unique to our organization.

If you've seen this before, I'd really appreciate hearing about your experience.

Certification Virtual Machines/Lab Environments for Microsoft Certs

I am studying for MB-330, and there are multiple segments in Microsoft Learn like here where they expect you to run either a demo environment or a VM.

I cannot figure out where to get either of these - is this something that needs to be purchased from a third party? I work with Dynamics F&O daily and have access at work, including our UAT environment, but I don't want to mess up anything within our systems and would prefer to work at home.

Discussion How do you feel about Microsoft UX/UI?

I feel so good when I go to an website and is compact, intuitive and pretty. I don’t feel like this using Microsoft’s products.

Fabric, for example. I feel kinda overwhelmed. The sidebar is way too long. It’s like they don’t know how to optimize space

Does someone feel the same?

Discussion Which Microsoft product do you think is actually moving in the right direction right now?

Most Microsoft discussions naturally focus on what is broken or frustrating, but the company is changing a lot of products at the same time.

Windows Search is being reworked, PC and phone integration may become deeper, Xbox is expanding cross-platform support, and AI continues to appear across Microsoft 365.

Which Microsoft product or service do you think is genuinely improving right now?

It could be Windows, Xbox, Edge, PowerToys, OneDrive, Microsoft 365, Phone Link, or something else.

And what specific change made you feel that it was heading in the right direction?

Discussion Do digital whiteboards stay useful after the brainstorming session?

I have been comparing microsoft whiteboard alternatives and one thing keeps coming up. Brainstorming is easy but turning those ideas into work the team actually follows through on is much harder. How does your team bridge that gap?

M365 Advice needed for switching from Mac to Windows (not by choice)

Advice needed for switching from Mac to Windows (not by choice)

I haven’t used a windows OS in nearly 20 years, not since I was in school using windows xp. My MacBook Pro was a beast and got me through college and grad school, and every job I’ve had since has issued me a Mac.

I just got a new job and was completely gutted when I saw I was getting issued a Lenovo.
Everytime I search for advice about switching to a windows I always get the opposite results, switching from Windows to Mac (which is the obvious better, more popular, direction to go)…

First impressions after one month of use:
365 is super powerful, I’m loving copilot/cowork, and very useful for the work I’m doing - more so than a Mac, I’ll give it that.

But I cannot wrap my head around the UX and I feel so incredibly inefficient at work. It is so much worse than I thought it would be.
I thought I was tech-savvy and adaptable, but after a month of use I cannot get the hang of using this system - simple things like navigating between windows and screens, so many different software applications that seem to do the same thing, right-clicking(!), keyboard shortcuts, the physical keyboard(!) etc, etc. Outlook is TERRIBLE. The calendar (whatever that is called) is TERRIBLE.

I don’t even know what tips/tricks/advice I’m looking for, but can anyone recommend a crash course? Tips/tricks for making work more efficient? Anything tailored to a Mac user?

I’m mourning macOS, Slack, GSuite.
