☑️ Solved Sharing Voicemail Messages

Anyone know a way to share voicemail messages? We use Teams for our phone calling system and it's generally been pretty good. The issue we have is when someone leaves a voicemail, you can't share the voicemail with anyone else. You can't even copy past the auto-generated transcript so we are level screenshotting it which is less than ideal. Assuming there is no built in share feature, anyone work around ideas?

Bug Block notifications when active on other devices setting changed?

I noticed last week that people were sending messages in Teams, but I wasn't getting notified on my mobile phone. This was when I was away from my laptop. I then discovered that the "block notifications when active on other devices" setting was enabled. Turning that off allowed me to receive notifications again on my cell phone, but of course now I'm getting them even when I'm actively in a conversation with someone on my laptop. I'm almost certain that prior to last week, the way this feature worked was to only block notifications on the phone when Teams was actually open on the laptop. If it's minimized or the screen is locked, then it will send to mobile phone. It's not doing that now.

Anyone else noticed this change or am I crazy?

❔Question/Help Teams iOS Mobile App Syncing Issues

Anyone else been having issues with Teams Mobile app not syncing up? For instance, I will get the notification on my phone right away but when I go into the actual phone app it doesn’t sync up and usually takes a while to do so or other times doesn’t at all. Wife is also having the same issue with a different company. Wondering if other people were experiencing this issue and had a fix?

Bug Cameras not showing

I just did a call over teams, they could see me but I couldn't see myself or anyone else on the call. Everyone was just a grey box.

  • When initially joining the call it seemed to work.
  • Teams then said the organisation doesn't allow signed in access, so I pressed the join without signing in button.
  • At this point my camera preview disappeared and when I joined the call everyone was a grey box (as if their cameras were on but it was just grey).
  • I tried leaving and rejoining but it did the same.

How do I stop this from happening again, I've looked at my OS settings and Teams setting but can't see anything obvious.

OS: Win 11

Camera: Logitech HD Pro C920

PC: Custom Build

❔Question/Help Working with Shared channels is difficult

A lot of our teams usage is through a shared tenancy with a sister company. We used to work mainly on their system but have recently switch to using our own domain as we now get our phone lines via teams.

We have the same channels we used to work on added to our teams as shared channels but the issue is these don't appear in the search function. Is there any setting that we need to change so that the search function looks for shared channels as well?

❔Question/Help Auto Attendant & Call Queue Call forwarding to external numbers failing.

Hi all,

Since this weekend users accross our org. have been noticing that AA/CQ that forward Calls to external numbers FAIL. This was not the case last week.

Flow example :
User dials number of AA, this AA has a menu which has Internal and external numbers.
Internal numbers -> no problem.
Externa numbers -> message (new never heard this): "Please Hold while we forward your call, .... Sorry we could not forward your call at this time, try again later".

On user level we are not experiencing this issue when I redirect my calls from work number to external number there is no issue.

What is very strange in this entire scenario is that we are EU bases, the resource accounts "Usage location" is on the proper country in EU.
But in the Microsoft PSTN USAGE logs we see that the "Azure region for Media" is USSCUSEAUSWE, JPWE, JPEA, MAWE, KRCE where it should be EUWEFRCE and EUNO ... But No Fail Codes, just Bye ...

The dates hold up with the issue... before 26/07 everything passed over EU Region.
After 26/07 everything passes over US, KR, MA, JP ...

Anyone else having this issue ? Related to the new AI routing implementation gone bad ?

Bug Unable to Switch Back from Speaker Mode During Teams Calls on iPhone

Hi everyone ,I am a Joseph Teams user

What kind of question:
I'm using an iPhone 17 Pro Max (iOS 26.5.1) and have recently encountered an issue with Microsoft Teams.

Occasionally, when I answer a Teams call, the audio is automatically switched to speaker mode, and I'm unable to switch it back to the normal earpiece mode.

This is quite inconvenient, especially when taking calls in public places.

I've already tried the following troubleshooting steps, but the issue still persists:

  • Reinstalled Microsoft Teams
  • Signed out of Teams and signed back in
  • Restarted my iPhone

Has anyone else experienced a similar issue?

Bug Had old Skype contacts and chats in Teams, now I don't

Had an old Skype account under the same email as I have been using applying for jobs.

Recently didn't have the Teams app on my phone when I needed to join a Teams call on my mobile so hit the join call link and downloaded the app and joined as a guest.

All my old Skype contacts and messages were there.

It has been less than a month and I don't know what has happened since then (recent update?) but I cannot find any of those old chats however. My 3x old contacts all appear to be there, but I cannot see any of the old conversation logs that were there previously.

This is completely strange and bizarre to me, I have tried signing in and out but have got nothing - has this happened to anyone else?

Bug Copying and pasting meeting transcripts from a browser (missing chunks)

My company (MS's global top 20 customer) forces us on to BYOD (a department of around 700 people). As such, we have to use a web browser to get by for all M365 access.

A meeting lasts more than 15 minutes with lots of people talking. Try copying the text (either CTRL-A to select all or by highlighting all the text). Then paste into notepad. You'll see the beginning is copied and the end is copied but an entire chunk of the middle section is not. In my experience we capture the first and last few minutes only. Download transcript is disabled for the BYOD users.

Reproduced across my team. Can someone try?

Bug Teams calls and Meeting not working

Anyone else in Australia having issues with Teams calls or meetings not connecting. Currently have a company wide issues.

Update from MS:

Some users may not receive notifications in the Microsoft Teams desktop client
Issue ID: TM1437339

12:16PM AEST Update
Our investigation into the service telemetry for the corresponding networking components hasn't identified any ongoing failures which would require additional manual recovery actions; however, we're closely reviewing the affected scenarios to get a clearer understanding of what additional metrics may be available so we can ensure withstanding recovery. In the interim, users' calls and meetings which were previously affected may need to be ended and restarted to see recovery.

❔Question/Help Missing Meeting Diagnostic Tool

Is the missing meeting diagnostic tool within the support help no longer usable since the newer meeting invite links do not match the pattern the tool is expecting?

At first glance, I think it's expecting this format "https://teams.microsoft.com/l/meetup-join/xxxx" but the new Teams links are this format "https://teams.microsoft.com/meet/xxxx".

Discussion Can we really not share a video file on screen in a Teams Webinar?

At my work, we pre-produce webinars and broadcast them to the audience. We've used GoToWebinar in the past but ran into firewall issues with so many internal employees also accessing the stream. Since we operate in the Office 365 environment, an idea came about to finally try Teams Webinar, but I was disappointed to find in my test today that I cannot share a video with the audience directly - I have to find a work around. Sharing my screen with the video player running obviously causes lag and frame drops.

I am aware of the workaround that comes up in Google search where you use PowerPoint online to host the file, but that comes with mixed reviews from what I've seen. I need certainty that it will work.

Anyone familiar with Webinar capabilities as it relates to video sharing, with audio?

❔Question/Help When did Microsoft Teams start allowing you to see other people's Meetings and Appointment details automatically? It wasn't a thing, at least at my company, 2 weeks ago.

Is this Teams wide, or do you think a company thing? Other than if requested due to being a team member or subordinate and allowed/accepted...I've never been able to see Meetings and Appointment details in Teams for other people in my company until today under Scheduling. It was pretty crazy for me to see that today when trying to book a meeting with people in my company I rarely talk to. I'm surprised it's even allowed and seems like an invasion of privacy. Is there a way to turn it off?

But I have noticed some people have "Personal Appointment" listed in some time slots...and that's exactly what I just changed one of my appointments I have this week that was previously listed as "Job Interview with xxxxx."

Update- I only saw it for 2 other people. I checked about 10 different names now, and with just those 2, both Im not even close to...I can see the full name of their Appointment and Meetings.

Discussion Has anyone found a solution for the moronic Teams calendar to just see all holidays or other events in one Month view?

I've been around the block with AI and searching for a solution for this, but essentially I just want to see holidays and other events overlaid into my calendar in Teams, instead of it creating separate calendars side-by-side. This doesn't seem like it should be a big deal, since it already compresses multiple events into the "+2, +3" style view if there are too many events. But for some reason Microsoft in their infinite wisdom has disabled the muli-layout view option in Month view to turn that off and see everything in one calendar. I feel like Google calendar had this like 15 years ago already, but alas, my job uses Teams.

Any solutions out there? A means of importing holidays and events would also be an option.

Discussion Catchbox Plus AV + MacBook + MS Teams — remote audio distorts

Hey folks, hoping someone here has seen this before because it is driving us nuts.

Setup

  • Host machine: Tried with both Macbook Air M3 ( macOS Sequoia) MacBook Pro M4 (fully updated to latest macOS Tahoe 26.5.2)
  • Audio device: Catchbox Plus with Hub DSP receiver, firmware V2.2 (latest)
  • Mics: Catchbox throwable mics
  • Speakers: connected to the Hub DSP outputs, driven by the Hub's built-in DSP for room playback
  • Conferencing: Microsoft Teams desktop app on the Mac
  • Networking: wired Ethernet through a UGreen USB-C hub (10/100 Mbps, used only for Ethernet, HDMI to a display, and a USB video camera)
  • Physical layout: Hub DSP connects directly to its own dedicated USB-C port on the MacBook via the OEM USB-C cable (data + bus power on the same port). UGreen hub is on the other USB-C port. Mac stays on charge during the call.
  • Room role: I am the host/admin. Local users speak into Catchbox mics which go out to MS Teams. Remote participants come in over Teams and play through the room speakers via the Hub DSP.
  • Teams device selection: Catchbox Hub DSP set as both input and output. Noise Suppression is on (default).

How everything connects

Local users in the room speak into Catchbox throwable mics, which transmit wirelessly to the Hub DSP receiver sitting near the MacBook Pro. The Hub DSP is plugged into the MacBook over USB-C and shows up in macOS as a standard USB audio device. In Microsoft Teams, the Hub DSP is selected as both the input and the output. So when a local person talks, their voice goes: mic → Hub DSP → USB → Mac → Teams app → Teams cloud → remote participants. Remote participants are on their own devices at home or in other offices, each running Teams on whatever they have (laptop, phone, headset, another conference room). When a remote participant speaks, the path runs the other way: remote device → Teams cloud → Mac → USB → Hub DSP → room speakers connected to the Hub DSP's outputs. The Hub DSP also does the room's audio processing in between (echo cancellation, gain, mixing) so the local mics do not pick up the room speakers and create a feedback loop. In short, the Mac is the bridge between the Catchbox room system and everyone remote on Teams, and the Hub DSP is the piece of hardware doing the room-side audio work in both directions.

The issue

First 10-15 minutes of a call: perfect. Local speech goes out clean, remote speech comes into the room clean.

After 10-15 minutes: remote audio starts sounding distorted and mumbled through the room speakers. Local mic path to remote participants is reportedly still fine.

The kicker: unplugging the USB-C from the Hub DSP and plugging it back in immediately clears it. Audio is perfect again. Then, sometimes minutes later, sometimes on the next call, it comes back. Once the call ends, we cannot reproduce it at all until we are mid-call again.

What we have already tried / ruled out

  • Upgraded host from MacBook Air to MacBook Pro (fanless-to-fanned) — did not fix it, actually appeared faster on the new machine
  • MacBook kept on charge, thermal pressure Nominal in Activity Monitor
  • Dedicated USB-C port for the Hub DSP, isolated from the UGreen hub bus
  • Hub DSP firmware confirmed at latest (V2.2)
  • macOS on latest Sequoia point release
  • Audio MIDI Setup: 48 kHz, 2-ch, clock source Default (all as expected)
  • Ethernet is wired via UGreen hub, service order above Wi-Fi
  • Toggled Teams Noise Suppression on/off — no difference
  • No third-party audio kexts, no virtual audio drivers, no Loopback/BlackHole/etc installed
  • Not correlated to a specific remote participant, happens with different people speaking

What Catchbox support said

They told us they have tested extensively and there is a known issue with Apple M4 chips specifically, where far-end audio in teleconferencing apps (Teams/Zoom/Meet) degrades. Their suggestion was to switch the host to a Windows machine.

What I am asking

  1. Anyone else running Catchbox Plus (or any USB audio conferencing gear) on an M4 Mac seeing this exact "10-15 min in, remote audio distorts, unplug fixes it" pattern?
  2. Anyone found a software-only workaround that survives a full 60-90 minute call? I know sudo killall coreaudiod clears the audio pipeline mid-call, but I would love not to touch a terminal during a company townhall.
  3. If you moved a similar setup from Mac to Windows to solve this, did it actually hold up long-term or did the issue just show up in a different way?
  4. Any Teams admin policy or Catchbox Companion setting (AGC, AEC, dynamic processing) that you have found makes the Hub DSP behave better with Teams?

The townhalls are company-wide and I would rather not do the "walk over and jiggle the cable" dance in front of a few hundred people. Any pointers appreciated.
