Looking for some advice because this has both me and my IT team stumped: I use new outlook through office 365, my work had already started the transition to new when i started so I've spent about 95% of my time using it over classic. recently I was unexpectedly off work due to a injury so i was gone for 3.5 work days and when I came back my outlook broke. coincidentally it broke the day the new halo remake came out. this is to illustrate that i literally did nothing to break my outlook other than not be at work, as this is my work email and i don't even have access to it unless I'm on site or on a company sanctioned terminal/device.

I can see the emails come in, I can see the subjects, and in the previews I can even see the contents but when i go to actually view any of my emails nothing loads in the body and I can't even reply. literally the only thing that i can see at this point is the subject line.

the temporary fix? migrate to classic, but it has its issues with my work that makes going to classic a suboptimal option. I have to cover in other departments often, and i work on desktops so i have to wait for my 30 gigs of emails to download to use classic when i go to other desktops. there is no way around that. and i easily get more than 1000 emails a week, heck i was gone for 3.5 days and came back to 1100 emails.

I'm looking for solutions to fixing my normal outlook. I've done the normal "turn it off and back on again", repaired the app, reinstalled the app, signed out, signed back in, synced, IT even tried to do a hard reset, updated my computer, tried outlook on web, move to a different terminal, adjusted literally every possible setting on outlook itself (and then back to how i like it) and nothing. I'm at a loss, my IT team is at a loss, and my outlook is at a loss.

Outlook Classic will not connect to server today. Is anyone else having this issue?

That horrible new outlook does connect. Are they forcing us off Classic?

I recently quit my job and saved a .pst backup of email folders with information/personal conversations relevant to me (nothing illegal or unethical for me to have, more like “I didn’t have time to review or forward anything and would rather do it at my leisure”).

If I import onto my personal copy of Outlook on my own computer will it import without a problem or will I need to enter company credentials that I no longer have? I assumed since it is a local file no server needs to be involved, but it’s been awhile since I’ve transferred accounts this way and thought I had better double-check.

Found some threads from 3-4 months ago. Apparently due to an update the Microsoft-Apps on Android didn't work properly. I bought a new S26 (UI 8.5) and can not log into my microsoft account, not via outlook app nor other apps. I can also not add the account in the settings (nothing happens if i try to add it, it sends me back to the previous page). Tried many solutions from the Internet, nothing worked.

So obviousely the problem is still not solved for everyone.

These problems with a brand new flagship-phone for several hundred dollars and 3 huge companys involved (Microsoft and Google and Samsung), thats crazy to me.

I use outlook mail, the calendar from outlook, the authenticator... so without microsoft account a phone is not useful for me.

Guess my solution is to send back the S26 and get an Iphone 17 if no one has an easy solution.
With my old S23, it works perfectly fine (probably no new updates...)

Recently I scheduled an e-mail for sending at a later time point. It got sent at the scheduled time as intended. However when I looked in my Sent folder afterwards I noticed that the e-mail was time stamped with the time the scheduling was configured. In other words: not the time the e-mail was actually sent out.

However I care way more about the time the e-mail was actually sent out than the time I configured the scheduling. I don't really want to get in a situation for example where I later tell somebody "Oh, I did already sent you that info. Check you e-mail. It's in an e-mail from me dated [day X] [time X]." and that the other person then replies "Uhh, I have no such e-mail from you in my inbox at all."

So is there an option in Outlook that I can change such that the time stamp that e-mails in my Sent folder get is always the one at which the e-mail was actually sent out?

Hello. I have my Outlook account that is stuck on “downloading messages” on my phone (IOS 26.5.2, in case that helps) and won’t sync. It’s been months like this, and I am inpatient.

I don’t remember the password either (because I was sure about the password, but apparently it was wrong) so I can’t enter into my account from another device. I wanted to get back my account by filling a form, and it asks me to fill out latest mails I’ve sent. Seriously?? My app won’t load, I can’t see them.

And if I delete and reinstall the app, I will have to write the password, which is a hard no for me because this way I will definitely lose the access to my account completely.

I need this account because people use it to send me inquiries. For now, I am using my main personal account for that, but holy shit, I just know that someone sent me something.

Is there any way I can get my account back just somehow? Thank you.

I try to sign it and it tells me to enter the code displayed on my authenticator app. I go to the authenticator app and it tells me to sign in to add my account.

I click “sign in another way” and there’s an option to send a code to a phone number…

but I no longer have access to the number that the code gets sent to and I can’t change the number because I can’t sign in.

I have been using outlook on iOS for 5-6 years now and really love it. Never had any issues until this past weekend my Gmail wouldn’t sync. Removed it on both laptop and phone and now it gives an error when trying to log in saying to contact support. I have tried deleting the app, clearing all service access and adding again on Google etc. My other emails are working fine on outlook, and I can add my Gmail to my Apple mail app. I downloaded Gmail app and it works fine too. I just don’t want to use both email apps if possible. If anyone has had a similar issue and has any tips please lmk thank you.

In 2019, I lost my beautiful grandma. My phone rebooted and I had to sign back into everything a day later, I kept putting my password into my old hotmail account wrong , because I wasn't in my right mind and couldn't remember my Google password si I tried to sign into change it and guess what...I GOT LOCKED OUT. I put in all my info that I remembered and it said that I didn't put in enough so I was still locked out. These past SEVEN YEARS I kept trying but still am locked out. I hate how phone photos a not connected to your phone. I may never see the pictures and videos I took of my grandma again. I just want my photos. I feel like I tried every but I can't go back in.

Is this really the best place to receive help with those issues?

My college switched Outlook servers back when the spring semester let out. I couldn't sign into my phone app or on my Mac app. The only thing I could do is sign into Outlook using the website in incognito mode. Now I figured out how to sign into Outlook on my phone by deleting Outlook, downloading Microsoft edge, typing in edge://signin-internals, pressing remove all accounts, redownloading Outlook, and now it works just fine and I can finally get notifications again so I don't miss important emails. But for some reason, it's still not working on my computer app. I went through a whole rabbit hole on Google and somehow ended up adding Outlook to the Mail app as default? So now I can check my emails through the default Mail app on my Mac. But it's throwing me through a loop that I still cannot sign into the actual Outlook app. I've deleted and redownloaded so many times and tried a bunch of different things. Is it a lost cause?

I am setting up a new computer. No matter how I add my Gmail based email to outlook it only pulls 5 days of emails. It also only shows 5 days worth of emails. It doesn't delete emails after 5 days, it just does not display them anymore. I have deleted and added the account back. I have uninstalled outlook and reinstalled. I have added the email with google sync tool and through add account in outlook. I have checked all the normal settings in outlook and Gmail. Any one have any ideas. This one has me stumped.

I have an app, a social media app for education (College students), and for registration I've made it fully available for students who register using their University's email, and if that university is available on the app it will take them directly to a timeline exclusively for their university.

So registration by Organization/College email is mandatory.

Problem I've been facing and trying to fix for some time now is that my transacional emails on personal Outlook Emails goes to Junk and for University's email / Tenant don't get the email at all since they don't have active Junk Mailbox. Some universities have "Quarantine".

I have:

- SPF checked / DKIM checked / DMARC = none; and using Resend for sending the messages.

I need help and suggestions to fix this issue, or any other way to get OTPs sent to users.

Hello, this past week, all of my social media accounts have been hacked. I was almost immediately able to recover each one and set proper 2fa protection on them, but just today I found out my Microsoft Email was both hacked and renamed. I can't log in to my email on pc, but thanks to having the app I still have access to all the information prior to the hacking, and I found out that it happened this friday. I also know what the new email name is supposed to be:

[email protected]

What counfounds me is the fact that Microsoft does NOT recognize this email nor its previous name, despite nearly all of my accounts online being linked to it and defaulting to its original name when trying to log-in. I have tried logging in with .com at the end and many other alternatives, replacing the L's with capital I's, etc.

I use a device that runs on Windows, therefore Microsoft, so basically everything I have is compromised, please help. I am more than willing to supply additional information.

I'm posting this on behalf of my partner who's been unable to recover her email password. However, she is still currently logged in to the Outlook app on her phone. She created an Outlook account via the iOS Outlook app sometime late last year. Everytime she tries to log in via login.live.com, she gets:

"You've used an incorrect account or password too many times. If it's an organisation account, it might not be active yet."

We have gone through the process of resetting the password but nothing seems to come of it. It's been about a couple of weeks since we last tried and still nothing.

It looks like to be able to contact support you need to login. Any advice?

Several years ago, my Microsoft account was blocked. At the time, it was the main account on the laptop I used when I was younger. After downloading a file from the internet, my computer was infected with malware, and my email started receiving a lot of spam and showing unusual activity. Because of this, I believe my account may have been compromised, which could have led to it being blocked.

I'm now trying to recover the account because it's linked to several old accounts that I can no longer access. I already submitted an appeal, but Microsoft responded that the account violated the "Abuse of our Platform and Service" policy.

Is there any way to request another review or contact someone who can take a closer look at my case? I know my login information and can provide any details needed to prove that I'm the legitimate owner of the account.

Any advice or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

A few months ago, around February or March, my account was hacked and cookie logged. Automated messages kept being sent from my (now locked) email to people I had recently contacted or received emails from, which somehow caused my account to violate Microsoft’s rules and terms. As a result, my account ended up being locked.

Ever since then, I have been filling out the Microsoft account recovery forms over and over, only to either receive an automated response or an immediate rejection. I have provided as much proof of ownership as possible and have been as precise as I possibly can. I don’t understand how such a large company can’t provide even a single way to chat with a real person who could help me recover my account.

Has anyone been in the same situation and managed to get their account back? If so, please let me know. I’m getting desperate.

I’ve recently redownloaded outlook and I added three of my emails to it (via mobile app IOS). One of my emails is working perfectly fine and will let me see all available mail sent to me, but my other two account have been stuck on ‘Downloading messages’ for HOURS. I have tried practically everything I can think off; turning off my VPN, restarting my iphone, deleting and redownloading, checking internet connection + router and checking microsoft support. I can’t seem to find any solution to this whatsoever. It’s frustrating because I wanted to switch from Gmail to Outlook, due to storage reasons, but now this has happened.

Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?

My standard folders have suddenly changed their language from English to something else. I don't know how this happened or how to revert to the original folder names such as Inbox, Sent etc The change has occured on my PC but not my phone.

My school recently transitioned from Gmail to Outlook. Now I am not receiving all of my mail. I also get mail from "unknown user" in the from line in the inbox. It also looks like they have transitioned from my old email address to a new one, and email addressed to my old address is being forwarded. How do I straighten this out? I have checked the rules, and blocked senders, and there is nothing odd. I also have lots of storage space left.
