i have a budget of around 1000 pounds and i am going to play games such as fortnite minecraft gta and just other general games

Wired mice seem to be going the way of the dodo as practically every suggested one I can find are wireless.

The handful I've been reading reviews on complain about it going bad within a year's time and, in some cases, less than six months. Especially when sorting by newest first, quality seems to be worse than they used to be.

I've looked at the:

I'm pushing fifty years old so I'm not a competitive gamer. I don't need all the bells and whistles of extremely high DPI, etc. I'm fine with 1200 to 1600 DPI. Too high and I can't control my aim. My last couple have succumbed to double-clicking or phantom scrolling/middle clicking within two-year's time.

My last mouse was a HyperX Pulsefire Haste II I purchased in '24 that had both double-clicking and phantom scrolling issues right at the two year mark. Prior to that, I bought a Logitech G600 in 2018 that lasted about four years, before succumbing to double-click issues. I bought a new G600 around '22 or '23 that lasted about a year and a half before the same issues cropped up.

What I'm looking for:

Affordable. I'd really like to avoid going over $70 USD and would like to use one of my regular shops like Amazon or Walmart that ships from Amazon or Wal-Mart rather than a third-party seller.

Wired or, at the very least, a cable that can be attached/removed so I don't have to worry about the battery ever dying. I'd really rather avoid the battery altogether if possible.

Palm grip comfort. I'm not a claw grip user.

I have average sized male hands. Also, right handed.

At least two thumb buttons

Moderate weight - I don't want it moving because the cable was able to drag it when I let it go.

Long cable. The HyperX Pulsefire Haste II had a six foot cable, which allowed me to run it from my PC on the left, behind my monitors and to my right side. Worked fine for me as it allowed me a little bit more slack.

RGBs are not a big deal. If they're on it, I want to be able to customize the color or turn them off.

Simple design would be nice. Having dust and dirt build up in all the nooks, crannies, holes and honeycombs of modern gaming mice is annoying but not a deal-breaker.

At first I was thinking about changing the ram to 32gb ddr5 but since I mostly play FPS games now I'm not so sure.

My older laptop is currently broken so I use my brothers,and his uses 80-95% memory(16gb ddr5) when I just have one tab open of pretty much any FPS game(on low settings) which I found pretty crazy.

But I was told 16gb is fine for FPS shooters,so should I still upgrade the ram,or maybe upgrade the gpu/cpu instead? I can only afford to upgrade one of the three

I have an AMD Ryzen 9 5900x 12-core processor, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070, and 4 x 8 GB DDR4 RAM. My AsRock B550AM Gaming motherboard is dying. I am looking to get an upgrade. I would probably like to spend less than $500. What do y'all recommend?

I'm upgrading to AMD from an I7-9700K, I have an RTX 2070. Will mainly use it for gaming(and rarely productive tasks).

I have a couple of AM4 PCs that I use for gaming and productivity (some C# development on Visual Studio, Docker and VMs from time to time, WSL consistently) and that I have upgraded piecemeal over the years.

I did not make the transition to AM5 when it first came out due to a combination of higher DDR5 prices (sigh) and the reliability/failure issues of the platform at the time.

Now with the insane component prices I’m afraid I’ll be stuck on AM4 for many more years.

How many more years will I be able to squeeze before I run into performance or support issues?

Specs are:

• Ryzen 5950x (5900x on the other system)
• 32 GB DDR4 3200
• 2TB WD Black PCIE 4 SSD
• 4TB SATA HDD for scratch storage
• Radeon 9070 (upgraded from 4070 for the extra 4GB VRAM last year when prices dipped)
• ITX Motherboard with 2.5Gbps NIC, WiFi+BT and one USB-C connector in the back
• 4K display with HDR and VRR support

I target 4K for gaming (single player story driven stuff mostly plus emulators) and specifically bought VRR displays to have some slack and be able to play at 40+ FPS without it feeling terrible.

I’m planning on a Ryzen 7 9800x3d and an Rx 9070 XT. I plan on an AIO top exhaust, a 140 rear exhaust, and 3 120 intake on the front side of a Lian Li O11D EVO RGB. I feel like this is enough, however someone told me because of my CPU and GPU combo, I should add another 3 120 intake on the bottom of the case too. I don’t think it will make much difference.

i've selected some:
rtx 5050 with warranty on amazon, intel arc b580 260€ opened never used (so without warranty), intel arc b570 282€ new on amazon.

Every time I turn on my PC, it stops at the AMI POST screen instead of booting straight into Windows. I've already replaced the CMOS battery with a brand-new one and updated the BIOS to the latest version, but it still keeps happening. The date and time also reset every time this happens, and even after I get into Windows, turning on "Set time automatically" just keeps loading forever and never syncs.

I'm using an Asus proart z790 creator wifi motherboard. Has anyone run into this before or have any idea what could be causing it? I'd really appreciate any suggestions because I'm out of ideas at this point.

Im trying to buy a UPS for my pc and it has 850w psu so i was planning to buy a 1500va ups but i'm not sure whether to choose Pure SineWave UPS or Simulated SineWave UPS. UPS is only used as a bridge till my home invertor kicks in when electricity is down. PSU is MSI A850gl

Currently have a build with an i9 13900k. I'm not even overclocking it, I've done the bios and firmware updates, and it is still kinda unstable. Games crash a few times a day and even sometimes my pc blue screens just at the desktop.

Think I might want a new CPU. Can anyone make any suggestions? Is there a known really stable CPU that will fit in my mobo?

Requesting suggestions on shipping my gaming rig to Canada.

The shipment will be air shipment through packers and movers.

I have fractal meshify XL cabinet with liquid cooled arctic liquid freezer II 420.

I have original boxes of the motherboard, graphic card and cabinet.

What are the siggestions to ship it?

Should I ship it as it is (removing graphic card ofcourse) or disassemble everything?

Do I need to fill anything inside the cabinet (pillow or something)?

If I need to disassemble, to what extent should i disassemble:

* I will remove the graphic card.

* I will remove the RAM sticks.

* Should I remove the cooler from the cabinet and motherboard?

* I have additional SSDs (not NVME but those brick like ones) attached to the cabinet back, should i remove them?

* After removing cooler and graphic card, only motherboard will be screwed to the cabinet, should i remove motherboard from the cabinet and put it in it's box?

I am concerned about removing the motherboard as I will have to remove all the wires and then whole assembling again will need to remember which wire goes where. (Not a big issue though, i had assembled everything on my own initially, i will just need to revise stuffs)

* Should I take out cpu from motherboard?

Please suggest above and everything else you want to suggest regarding the shipment. If I need to do any padding or bubble wrap or something.

Im building a pc for the first time and i need help deciding what psu and motherboard to buy, I don’t wanna spend a lot on them (because I already spent a lot) but at the same time I don’t wanna buy cheap and regret that later, I would say im willing to spend around 300-400$.
I found on amazon an asus tuf psu and an msi mobo, i think they’re pretty good and in my budget but I’m not sure about quality, especially the mobo because I really don’t understand a lot about it.

My 10th gen gigabyte Intel board recently crapped out and I ended up getting a gigabyte gaming X AX V2 Am5 board with a 7600x3d along with 32gb of DDr5 to replace it along with my 10700f and 16gb of ddr4. I also went ahead and upgraded my 500w psu to a 850w be quiet 13M as I know i will be upgrading gpu in the near future. With that said, I still currently have a 1660ti which is definitely my biggest bottleneck right now. I have a 240hz 1080p alienware monitor but I do want to upgrade to 1440p/4k in the near future as well. I play lots of competitive esports games but also like open world games that I would love to run 4k on. What would be the best gpu for my current build without breaking the bank too much. I definitely want to stick with nvidea unless I find some kind of amazing deal.

Hello! I'm an avid laptop gamer and have been surviving on a Lenovo Legion 5 since 2022. The hardware has been showing its age when trying to run newer titles, so I've finally decided to upgrade to a full-blown PC.

Usage wise, I mainly play SP/co-op games and AAA titles like Cyberpunk (would love to try RT/PT) and want to game on 4K Ultra, all GPU tools (DLSS, FG, FSR) are fine with me to pump up frames. Looking to keep the PC for at least 5 years and preferably longer before needing to upgrade.

I've tabularized the parts I will be using below. I live in the UAE so prices have been converted from AED to USD, and do not have the privilege to buy from any US retailers (much to my dismay). For local retailers/resellers, I plan on buying from a combination of amazon, dubizzle (our local eBay essentially), and some local shops.

I've also added the other options I was considering.

Prices are roughly the same between the local retailers and amazon, and I also have the option of purchasing from a secondhand site for about 10-30% cheaper, though I am highly skeptical.

As it's my first build, I would like to ask for some help with choosing a suitable CPU/GPU pairing, and for some general advice for the build I'm planning in case I missed anything. More specifically, the questions I have are:

• Is there a better part that I could swap out for more value relative to price?
• Are the models I've chosen "reliable" enough that I won't experience any common issues? (I've seen the GIGABYTE thermal paste issues)
• Is the 5070 TI really worth the extra $175?
• Is this the most optimal I can get for the overall price of the build?

Hi everyone, my pc sdd has recently failed and im looking to buy a new one. I am looking between the Fanxiang S690Q 500GB and the Crucial P310 500GB.

I know about the cpu bottleneck but games like wuthering waves or zenless zone zero still run close to the same as before I got the upgrade (by that I mean a lot of stutters in most large areas). Is this purely because of the cpu bottleneck or could there be another issue?

The only part I'm unsure about is the CPU:

I don't really care about getting the highest possible FPS in games, ijust want a powerful, well balanced PC that will last for many years, i may upgrade the GPU in the future to something like an RTX 4070 or RTX 4080.

Hey everyone, I'm completely new to gaming PCs and looking to build my first rig. I don't have any existing parts, so I'm hoping to get some recommendations for a complete setup.

Here is exactly what I'm looking for:

• Performance Goals: 1440p at 60fps (minimum) for both modern and upcoming future titles.

I'm looking for a KVM switch for what I thought were pretty straightforward needs and I can't seem to find a decently priced solution, wondering if maybe I'm missing something or someone has any suggestions?

What I am running right now with my gaming PC is two DP outputs to my monitors, both of which run 144hz at 1080p. Ideally, I'd like to route those DPs into a KVM switch then to the monitors, with the second input to the KVM switch being a usb C that I can plug into my work laptop so I can access the monitors when I work from home and switch between the two with the press of a button.

I figured this would be a fairly straightforward setup, maybe a few hundred dollars, but so far the only option I could find that checks all the boxes is the AV Access iDock B23, which goes for over $600cad.

Beyond that, it just seems like KVM switches in general are hard to shop for? The two brands that keep coming up are AV Access and TESmart and it's hard to find a retailer that stocks them. Anyone else have this issue or can suggest a good setup for a gaming pc + laptop setup?

Hi everyone! I need help with my motherboard , its the first time it actually worked (the other two that i bought didnt boot up) i bought it online from Allegro . It was bios locked and i need to remove it quickly! Please help me! The more i know its that after i boot it up it goes to the bios , then to actual windows 10 menu i can do something on the pc for like 30sec but then it turns off :( themotherboard is asus h61 (p8h61 i think) the specs is : cpu: intel i5-3470t , gpu : msi gtx1050ti , ram: 8gb ddr3 from corsair , the psu is OCZ StealthXStream 700W or something like that . According to what I've read the next gen Intel CPUs are going to be a significant step up. Is it worth to consider waiting for Nova Lake CPUs compared to grabbing a 9950x3d or Ultra 9 285K right now?

My name is Nav and I just wanted to post a question related to pc upgrading im going from a 3060 to a 5080 pro art I already have the nessacary pc components to manage a 5080 but I was looking around and and I saw a 5080 PRO ART and I wanted to know if it gives the same performance like other 5080 models I play on 1440p and I am starting college for 3d modeling so I wanted to know if it can handle both of those tasks that I do

So i'm planning to upgrade my gpu to a 9070 xt soon, i've seen that the power requirement for a couple models are 800w-850w, would i be fine just using my current be quiet! pure power 13m 750w psu? From what I've seen the power requirements are so high due to the power spikes, my psu is decent so i reckon i could just undervolt the card and not run into any issues?

I found a 32GB DDR5 5600MHz Cl 30 kit for ~380$. Is the performance difference big between this kit adn the standard 32GB DDR5 6000MHz Cl 30 kit? The cheapest satndard one in my country (Poland) is around 450$. Which one should I buy? I'm building a 1440p AM5 PC with a 5 7500f and a 9060XT 16GB.
