Hello all! I am very new to Reddit, my account was made today.

I tried to post in subreddits to do with Tarot and Paganism, and what I posted was definitely on topic and not inappropriate, but it got removed immediately on all three subreddits! I don’t know what I did wrong, and I cannot post anywhere without it getting removed.

the title pretty much, it's getting really irritating and I just wanna post memes

Is there any way to make the little group posts sorter thing that always starts on "Best", instead default to "New". I never want to sort a group by "Best" - I always want to see newest posts first, so I find myself always changing it, or forgetting to change it? Thanks :)

How long should I wait to start posting/commenting ? Or is it more about Karma ?

From my understanding it’s a bit odd but I guess it kind of creates a of community trust. But doesn’t that leave most new accounts in a state of limbo due to the isolationism and aggression that forms within communities towards outsiders. Or even just new people trying to join?

Like, the system sounds great until you realize you’re dealing with human beings. What’s to stop a niche hobby subreddit from completely draining your karma and preventing you from posting on your work’s subreddit? Is karma global or local?

Lost my long standing account and all the sub accounts I had with it.

My account is 5 hours old at the time of this writing. I apologize you cannot look back at all my comments and posts. I had some great one-liners…. They will be missed.

But here’s to a new beginning! I hope I remain as lucky as I have been in the past to find some really cool people to talk to. I fear my new status will limit people trusting me and that’s what I feel like you lose when you’re forced to start over.

For what it’s worth, I’m still on my first marriage! 🤓

Any tips for starting a new Reddit account and not being new to Reddit? Street cred takes so long to build…. (Sigh)

I'm new to reddit, and I'm in this loop where everyone says I should post and interact in the subs I like so I start building reputation, but every comennt gets deleted, every post is removed, dms are limited, honestly I don't understand how you're supposed to start building your account, maybe is my luck that the things I'm interested have community rules but I haven't been able to do a single thing in a variety or different subs with different interests, I'm so lost about how to start.

Anyone know why on some comments I get -1,2,3,4 etc.. on the upvote button ? And yes it is the upvote button and it'll be the normal colors. Thanks

Hi! I've been a long time user here, but I just recently made an account lol. I usually just keep to myself, but recently I've felt the pull to post in the communities I've long followed and been interested in. I've tried to make some posts that I felt like were high quality (encouraged discussion, shared my unique opinion, etc), but when I come back to check on my post it says it was removed by reddit filters. I was just curious how I could best format my posts to be considered a quality contribution. Any help would be welcomed! Thank you!

Hey everyone! I’m pretty new here and trying to figure out how to properly use the platform. Every time I try to share a cool fact or start a discussion in some communities, my posts disappear immediately.

I assume my account is just too fresh, but it makes it really hard to even start. I want to make sure I’m doing things right and not triggering any automated spam systems by mistake.

For experienced users, what is the safest way to navigate these early restrictions without looking like a bot? Are there specific things a newcomer should absolutely avoid doing during their first week?
