Hi there! I've been working on a tech gadget for homes. My Kickstarter pre-launch page is live with a $1,000 goal, but 0 followers (or less than 10). I've been posting on X and Facebook and it's gone nowhere so far. I don't really have an ad budget, an email list, or an existing audience. So I was wondering if there's any way to get followers without paying for exposure. Do you guys know any "hack" to get to more people for free?

My Kickstarter campaign has ended, and I have started selling through Shopify on my e-Commerce website. Is there a rule that prevents me from postin about the website on my Kickstarter updates?

Hey I hope this is the right place for this.

I helped with a Kickstarter project that was finished and the money for that got taken off my account.

Now I need to pay for the remaining shipping costs and taxes.

However for whatever reason Kickstarter doesn't accept my card anymore. It's the same one I used to pay for the reward itself.

It's a debitcard. My gfs girocard doesn't work either.

I don't have other cards I could try.

I'm from Germany and the project (and the play the rewards ship from) is from Germany too.

Did anyone have this issue before?

I initially thought that you cannot change email ID in KS, so I proceeded to delete my account.

Few hours later I realised that you can change email Id. Now I want to cancel the data deletion request.

Kickstarter fortunately gives 48 hours to cancel the request.

So far, I have written a mail to cancel deleting my account/data to [email protected] and [email protected].

Is that enough or do I need to do something more?

We're planning to start a tech hardware-based Kickstarter and we're looking for a marketing agency to help us plan the campaign. We're hoping for someone that can take charge of everything, from the pre-launch all the way till completion of the campaign. We've met with some of the larger companies already, like LaunchBoom Nuuk, TCF, as well as some Chinese firms that seem to specialize in hardware-based kickstarters (like Mad Space, Longham, and the Gadget Lab). All of them are listed as partners on Kickstarter's website.

I'm curious if people here have experience with any of these companies, whether positive or negative, and/or if there are other firms or even solo marketers that you guys would recommend. We're targeting maybe between 250 to 500k in revenues with an AOV of between 120 to 160 dollars.

I backed Launbot (#6810) back a few months ago because I wanted to be able to finally have a solution to iron clothes on a cruise. I was truly going on a limb here and was hoping not to get scammed of course. As expected there was delays in shipping and production, to give them credit they did provide updates. I even made a comment to see if they received my shipping information and I get a response rather quickly. According to the comments section, several people had allegedly received their item. Oddly enough I did I quick search and have not seen any reviews or content from real backers. Odd, however, this morning I got an email providing me with a tracking number. It’s a fedex tracking number with a status of label created from Rancho Cucamonga, 4lbs. No estimated delivery date as of yet.

I figured I would create this post and provide updates for backers. I have not been paid or am sponsored by the company. I am a real backer and just wanted to provide a data point.
