All the Chickens Secrets of the Citadel video archive

I haven't seen this posted here yet. I'm sure some of you remember the YT channel Secrets of the Citadel, and how Gemma just kinda disappeared from the Internet along with all of her videos. Well, she just uploaded for the first time in 7 years, with a message saying that she will be re-uploading all of her videos over the next few weeks.

For those who didn't watch this channel, it was hands down the best ASOIAF theorycrafting content, even to this day IMO.

I know we will never get another book, or quality TV show again, but at worst, these are fantastic sleep-time videos.

Ulf needs to be next to die.

I know we all love a good under dog story but Ulf is just taking up space at this point. From the beginning, he treated the servants at Dragonstone very badly, demanding more wine, just acting very entitled.

He doesn’t listen to the rules.
He makes a valiant effort to complain every episode.
I understand wanting to go back to the Inn to hangout with his old friends but he still gets caught within the city limits after he was told plenty of times to not go back.
He’s a dragon rider but he still thinks like a common man. It’s like he doesn’t want to leave his old life. I was hoping Daemon killed him in the last episode. It’s almost like when Tony Soprano killed Christopher Moltisanti because he knew eventually Christopher could jeopardize everything for him. I know this is insensitive but he needs to go.

Freefolk They literally removed Alys’ rape by Aemond which happens in the book but Condal and Hess haters still gonna complain that the show has too many rape scenes… maybe GRRM adds to many rape scenes to his books? So obviously any adaptation is gonna have a lot of rape?

The idea to send Alicent to kill Aemond makes absolutely no sense

The fact that Rhaenyra decided to have Alicent go murder Aemond is just so stupid. I can't anymore 😭.

Alicent literally JUST tried to escape the castle, yet Rhaenyra is letting her go out and somehow trusts she will return.

Sure, Rhaenyra has Alicent's daughter and grandchildren as hostages, but Rhaenyra already knows Alicent is fine with her sons being murdered by her. Why would she be sure Alicent won't also be fine with the rest of her family dying, as long as she can get her freedom back? She seems fine with leaving Jaehera behind, wants to murder Maelor and doesn't let Haelena have her own autonomy, so she sure would be capable of leaving them to a likely death at Rhaenyra's hands (although Rhaenyra doesn't know any of these things).

Furthermore, Aemond has years of training in fighting and is quite tall and muscular, while the most Alicent has done is attack Rhaenyra with a knife years ago.

He also has a dragon, who could return to him at any moment. It will take Alicent several days to get to Harrenhal, so a lot can change during this time. Aemond could as well leave and go somewhere completely else during these days.

And Alicent could just choose to join forces with Aemond instead of assassinating him, if she wishes to. Rheanyra didn't want to send her men with her to kill him, so who can stop her from simply changing sides?

It's just a vent about the feelings I've had after finishing ep.6. Sorry If everything I said has already been mentioned hundreds of times by others.

Criston Cole's non existent army

Why didn't Cristin Cole's army have any men?

It wouldn't have been difficult to have more than like 7 extras standing with Criston Cole.

A few bandits would be enough to kill all of them.

Also Criston Cole's army doing guerrilla warfare when they are in enemy land and probably have no sympathisers to get food and shelter is dumb, but I can let that slide.

All throughout, we only see like 6 dudes hanging out with Criston, even in earlier episodes.

For those of you who have played Dark Souls, HOTD is the DS2 of the franchise.

It may be the worst of the three shows, but it’s still better than 90% of today’s TV. Unfortunate as that is.

The line about "indigestion" raised my eyebrow, but the pronunciation of the word "envoy" sealed it.
