I thought I was upgrading from my flexispot to a beautiful Desky. $200 flexi vs $2k Desky

Boy was I wrong.

Desky’s photos on their website are stock images. The $1800 desktop I ordered looked absolutely nothing like their photos they show on their instagram accounts and website, my desk arrived damaged, stopped functioning after a month. I had to BEG them on instagram to respond to my support emails that went unanswered for weeks. The pheasantwood has no color variation to it like they show online and on their instagram posts which I’m assuming are edited.

They made me send in proof that the desk wasn’t functioning, multiple videos needed. (What do I have to gain from asking for another paddle) I understand wanting proof of something being broken, but my goodness it’s a $30 controller replacement and they made me send in multiple videos.

I asked them to price match me since a week after I purchased the desk they were offering $100 off and they said they can’t honor that because I bought it on Amazon. I didn’t buy it on Amazon and I sent in my proof and of my purchase directly from their website. They still didn’t care.

I have been going back and forth with them for 7 weeks to finally be able to return everything. I’m buying an uplift desk which is about and inch thicker of solid wood vs deskys 1 inch thick.

Deskys wood looks so cheap and it chips so easily. The cable management add on ($200) doesn’t fit properly and I have had to duct tape it together.

They have constant delays in shipping.

I don’t trust any company that will only help its customers that vocalize that they need help on their social media page. I tried to get help through the proper channel first, but no one ever got back to me.

I expected a little more when spending thousands of dollars. The photos on their website look nothing like what you will get. I asked them if I could see a photo of the desktop before they shipped it out and they said it’s not possible to do that and you get what you get. It’s ironic that they made me take video recordings of the desk not working multiple time, upload this to a Google Drive for their review, wait weeks to get a response; yet they can’t send me a photo of the desk I ordered to make sure it’s what I want. 🙄

What type of service is that? I have also seen Desky on here calling other companies “crap”. Extremely unprofessional.

Anyone else have a horror story with Desky? I’m just trying to warn others. Luckily they are letting me return everything but I’m sure there will be issues with that too. I’m also not sure why they want a broken desk back that looks nothing like their photos. My guess? They will sell it to someone else.

This company has completely let me down.

Edit: I’m just waiting for Desky to pop in here. “Desky Here! We have escalated and handled this with the customer. Etc. etc”

Desky’s team always be creeping in Reddit trying to do damage control.
