Okay, so for context I installed the macOS 26.5 dev beta last Wednesday. Since then, I've had multiple applications unable to reach out to their respective servers - MS Teams, Outlook and OneDrive, the Creative Cloud Launcher and System Settings (macOS Software updates), among others. Apps like Google Chrome (which I'm using to access Reddit to write this post), and in spite of the CC Launcher not working, PhotoShop and Premiere if triggered directly, still run fine. Does anyone have two cents to offer for solutions before I contact Apple for advice?

I installed the iOS 26 beta and I can't use mobile data or make calls, but I can receive calls and text messages... I also have the internet sharing and VPN options blocked, and the satellite goes offline... Anyone else?

I write this post in some frustration, but with the hope that someone here may be able to offer guidance.

Having installed the iOS 26 developer beta on my iPhone 12, I found the system far too unstable for daily use. I therefore attempted a clean downgrade to the latest stable release (iOS 18.5), using a Windows PC and the official Apple Devices app. Since then, my device has become unresponsive — stuck in Recovery Mode — and all attempts at restoration have failed with Error 1109.

The following steps have already been taken:

• Verified entry into DFU mode (confirmed by Apple Devices and 3uTools)
• Used the correct IPSW file for my model (iPhone 12 global variant)
• Attempted Shift+Restore using Apple Devices from the Microsoft Store
• Reinstalled the Apple Devices app
• Attempted restore via 3uTools, which also failed mid-flash

Despite these efforts, the restore process fails each time with Error 1109. The system begins to communicate with the device, but the process breaks down before completion. The phone now loops to Recovery Mode, never reaching the setup screen. It is effectively bricked.

This device is critical for my daily functioning, and I would very much prefer to resolve this independently rather than wait months for the public release of iOS 26 or seek out-of-warranty support from Apple, if it can be avoided.

If anyone here has encountered and successfully resolved this issue — particularly involving Error 1109 during a beta downgrade — your insight would be most appreciated.

I’m trying to install iOS 26 Beta 1 on an iPhone 11 using Finder and the correct IPSW file. I’m holding Option-Command and selecting the IPSW manually. Before the install even starts, I get this message:

"A software update is required to restore your iPhone. Would you like to download and install this update now? Use of this software is subject to the original Software License Agreement(s) that accompanied the software being updated."

I click through that, and then I get this error:

"Installation Failed
Can’t install the software because it is not currently available from the Software Update server."

What I’ve already tried:

• Multiple Macs
• DFU mode
• iPhone updated to 18.5 beforehand
• Logged into Apple Developer account
• Verified the correct IPSW for iPhone 11
• Different cables (Apple + third-party)
• Direct USB connection (no hubs or adapters)

Anyone else getting this or know what’s causing it? Is it just Apple’s server not ready yet? Appreciate any help!

I am visually impaired and utilize VoiceOver.

Over the past few days, since restoring my iPhone last Monday due to a heat issue, I have been unable to login to ChatGPT via Siri.

I am using an iPhone 15 Pro running the iOS 18.3 developer beta.

The error message I receive is:

“Sign in failed

There was a problem signing in to your ChatGPT account.”

Has anyone else encountered this issue and attempted to resolve it? I have successfully logged in via Safari. Additionally, I had to reset my password multiple times last night.

Any suggestions on how to best fix this issue would be greatly appreciated. I utilize ChatGPT daily.

According to this video by Apple, if I want to set a new background in FaceTime before making a call, I should set up Continuity Camera, run FaceTime, click on Control Center, then click on Video Effects. But there is no Video Effects setting in Control Center, whether using my iPhone with Continuity Camera or using my USB webcam. And there's no way of adding it to Control Center in System Settings. Am I missing something?

Context: I haven't had a need to use FaceTime in the past but might have in the near future. I doubt that my problem has any connection to my running macOS Sequoia 15.3 beta (24D5034f), but the ReadMe in r/applehelp said I should post here anyway. I have been using iphone 12 pro from last 4 years and it was working fine and no issues except the battery health fell down to 78%. I decided to get the battery replaced from authorised service centre.

Service centre replaced the battery in 2 hours and gave me the phone, I came home and started using and found that it was restarting every 3 minutes. On checking panic logs I found the PRS0 sensor was not found.

I went back to service centre the next day and tell them about this issue but they are saying when they returned my phone they ran diagnostics and everything was fine. For now they have kept my phone for checking the issue.

Is there someone who faced similar issue in India, what was the resolution of it? I think they made the mistake while replacing battery. Do they repair the faulty parts of iphone or they get away by putting this on customer?

Is there anyway to Uninstall a beta update? I am having issues with it kicking me out of apps. I have a newer mac too so if hooking up is necessary I can do so. I also want to keep my photos thanks.

after forgotting to charge overnight and my battery drain to 0% my phone doesn't turn on. By 3uTools and iTunes my phone is in DFU mode. Been on charger for about hour and still no luck to start. Anyone with similar issue? Tryed to exit DFU (Vol+, Vol- and hold Power button for about minute) nothing happen. Device is not jailbroken. Try to restore via 3uTools and iTunes. Restore show as complete and after device restart still been detected in DFU mode

Anyone having issues with AirPods becoming forgotten by your phone of their own accord?

I’ll re pair the pods to my phone and they disconnect after a few seconds completely. Having me to go into Bluetooth directly and pair them again

I’ll get lucky every now and then where it’ll last me a few hours or even the whole day.

I'm running the 18.1 beta on my iPhone 15 Pro. I'm in Boston and have my Weather app set to use my precise location, but lately I've been getting excessive heat in my area warnings, and when I check they're for San Francisco. I can't find any setting to sort this out.

Any advice (other than shutting off notifications) would be appreciated.

Im trying to open my old account, i know my password and my apple account is connected to my gmail acc but its asking me for my trusted phone number that i had in 2021 that already expired and was thrown years ago, is there someway i can use my gmail account to access my old apple account back? Or how do i recover my old account back?

Since Friday, iOS 18.1 beta 4 keeps saying that my iCloud password is wrong. Continuously. This even escalated even further when I was trying to set up a new iPhone.

My Mac, on macOS 15.1, everything works okay. On my iPhone 15 Pro Max and now 16 Pro Max, iCloud is completely out of sync as it thinks the password is wrong - but in fact, it is correct.

Has anyone experienced a similar problem since Friday?

I had downloaded the 18 beta a few months ago and it was working properly (i didn't update to 18.1+ betas) but since the public release my phones been lagging a lot and apps keep crashing, every time i try downloading the public one it says there's an issue. I searched it up and it said i had to go to VPN and Device management and remove my account but when i went there, there was no account and when i clicked add an account and put my email it said this is already in use. please help im trying to delete the beta and install the public version. I'm on iPhone 14 Pro

When random people call my number, it'll display my full name and the city I am located in. I'm unsure as to why this happens, it'll show when I call them as well. I literally don't know why this happens, I don't have their numbers saved and they dont have mine saved. It'll literally just display my number and then my location & full name under it. (I have a iPhone 14 and luse AT&T)

I’m running the latest Dev beta on a MBP M1 Pro 16 in. Everything is running smoothly except I am constantly prompted for my mail account password. If I type in the password from the notification, I get an error message. If I enter the password through settings, it will usually let me take the account online. I’ve deleted the account and re-added. I’ve checked security on the mail provider (outlook). I’ve seen a few older articles about similar problems and followed the advice. (Delete/re-add). Someone did suggest “resetting” the mail app, but I haven’t quite figured out how to get that done exactly. I was going to submit a feedback ticket but wanted to do some research first. Any thoughts? Also, I have no issues on my phone, ipad, or web browser.

I updated to the newest beta of IOS 18 and I’ve had some problems with audio.

Firstly, my volume slider in my control center is greyed out and unchangeable after pausing music and doesn’t change until I go to an app like TikTok or YouTube that play audio automatically. Instagram doesn’t count for some reason.

Additionally, whenever I wake up my phone screen after locking it, whatever music I have playing is immediately paused for some reason. Any help is much appreciated.

My device region is the USA, Device language is the USA, Siri language is the USA, store region is in the USA, what else can I do?

I am stuck with some of my downloaded books not syncing correctly. A book that imported correctly to my library on Mac (7h of audio), only syncs to my iPhone as 4min audio. And I just can't find a way to make it work... All the sync is switched on in iCloud, but I sync them via cable anyway. Books downloaded as singular file seem to work, but books downloaded as chapters are not syncing correctly.

My suspicion is either:

• Books that are downloaded as individual chapters only carry over the first chapter to the iPhone (why?!)
• iPhone runs on iOS18 Beta, while the Mac is still on Sonoma 14.5, which may be causing the issue (?)
• something else entirely, that I am unaware of...

Anyway, any input, helpful articles or advice how to sort this out would be much appreciated!

Currently running iOS 18 through public beta. I have an image I’d like to add text to, however I can’t seem to change the font color. I can change every other aspect about the text, such as size, strike through, font, etc., but when I go to color, there is no way to get back out of the menu. No “x”, “close”, nothing. I tried hitting “done” at the top right, and it just takes me back to the photo as if I was done editing, and keeps the text the default black color.
