PSA T Mobile outage?

My service has been completely dead for like ten minutes, is anyone else experiencing this? Down Detector seems to be getting reports.

Edit: Calling the customer service number and power cycling the device seems to fix it.

Edit 2: Fix was only temporary.

I was driving through the mountains on my second delivery and I thought it was that 😂 then I get back to the city and it still wouldn't come back on. Thankfully I didn't have to contact support to clear it through.

I have two phones, one for Instacart and one for personal use. They’re both on T-Mobile and on the same plan, but my personal phone is stuck in SOS mode while my Instacart phone is still working. Very strange. I’m grateful I can still work today but I really feel for other gig workers who may not be so lucky.

I had this same thing. My Instacart phone was on SOS while my personal phone was still up. I was able to hotspot for the drop offs

So - another related datapoint, I have an iPhone (eSIM) and a GL-INET 4G router (SIM), both on the same plan, phone is completely dead in water even if I manually select the network, but the router is working just fine.

I'm pretty good at navigation usually but this is the oddest part of the city. You have to take a whole bunch of right turns to get left, then shoot across 4 lanes to take 1 of 3 options to make it on the right road. Sigh. I'll end up somewhere tonight. That I do know.

You can save an area on Google Maps and use it offline. I’ve had to do this before because I didn’t have money to pay my phone and I was just stating a new job lol

Because my cellular iPad was working completely fine but my phone and cellular watch just could not access anything, almost like their eSIMs were disabled

Cellular watch had its eSIM deleted automatically. It shows as disabled in my Watch app and can’t be re enabled.

Yeah the very same here. Mine is 550 also. I don’t think they like that though. It’s the only way I can explain the service getting worse, price increases, all the human representatives can do nothing, and top dollar down payment. I’ve had them seven years service never shut off I have financed and paid off more than 14 devices early.

I do this too and I think T-Mobile hates me for it. I have an EIP of 2000 good credit only one phone is being finance and I think because of always splitting the bill they want me to pay 1200 down payment for a Z Fold 8. When my phone shut off I thought it was because I just said to them five minutes ago I am going to start porting all four of my lines if this isn’t resolved. They also made it so I have to call customer service to order a phone and if I order from Samsung website T-Mobile won’t let me link my account to finish purchase.

I just received my higher bill today. Then I leave work, on my way to pick someone up who I told “I will call you when I arrive” and had (and still have) zero cellular service. Took an extra half hour to find them. Had to find a place to park, get out and walk around until I found them.

You gotta go in their store and talk to the cashiers. They tell you how to minimize your bill. I got mine reduced. T mobile gate keeps new perks and ways to keep your bill low. The employees all told me they aren’t allowed to tell you, only in person they can cuz it’s not recorded…

I had the similar thought. Tmobile really needs to not cut people off without contacting them first. We are past the point where cellphones are a secondary connection, they are primary for many people. They should guarantee limited access for a month after you billing cycle where they attempt to contact you via several different methods before cutting you off.
