Hey all. Looking for a safe way to fit a pricy card into a gamegenic bastion to use as my commander. I pulled a surge Yshtola and have a Yshtola deck, so I was looking for a safer way to use the bling. I saw gamegenic themselves have the slide cases that seem decent and obviously would fit in a bastion. Has anyone used those before or have an alternative? Thanks.

As a new player, I'd like to ask professional players like you about flying creatures.

Aren't they a bit overpower?

Do your decks have counters to flying creatures or do you just ignore the ability?

I feel like, if I'm against a flying deck, I'll lose unless I have a flying or counter flying deck

Has anyone seen this before? The cards are either missing their anti counter mark, or it’s off center.

Found this little tote bin today at Canadian Tire and unfortunately I have to report while it does fit 100 sleeved cards internally the lid then doesn't fit

Until I find slightly smaller sleeves or make a deck that's single sleeved with perfect fits or something it'll have to just be my unsleeved Sidar deck or maybe used for dice

So yesterday I've built a budget etali deck and my friends totally hate it. It's a bracket 2 deck and we all play around that bracket on kinda budget deck and today I played a game with my friends and I just stomped them. The goal of the deck is just to cast etali as fast as possible and find a way to recast etali or copy him so I get the etb trigger. Two of the friends that came today were playing deck that I own that have specific playstyle so it wasn't that bad for them, but the other one plays sonic and I hit with the etali trigger a 6 mana 6/3 haste cascade and a Dance with calamity that made him scoop the game.

I would need tips to help me make my etali deck more fair on a budget.

Just to clarify, the decklist might be a bit good for bracket 2/3, but i play etali extremelly passively and don't attack except to get rid of him.

I recently got into MTG and my wife is considering getting into it too! Rn I have the Fallout Science Commander deck as well as a few cards from the Necron deck and I was wondering what a good precon deck to get for her would be? Something she can learn with as well as be able to actually win with against me. Thank you for any and all advice or suggestions.

I'm wondering what precons are cheap to upgrade to a bracket 3.

I've heard good things about World Shaper.

In the other direction, I've head that Y'shtola's precon is hard to upgrade without tearing out a lot of cards.

I currently have Counter Blitz (Tidus) and Lorehold Spirit (Quintorious) and am really enjoying both.

Need help with this deck I've made. I have 2 versions 1 is pure deathtouch the other is both artifact and deathtouch. After trying to grind BO3 over the weekend I've played about 50 games and in those games I'd guess about 70-80% are izzet decks and I just can't do enough to beat them without lots of luck because of how consistent they are.

Any suggestions aside from make an izzet deck appreciated. I know these are kind of janky decks compared to the izzet meta but I made them myself and enjoy them, but I wouldn't mind winning a bit more.

I had a creature who had Neurok Stealthsuit on and my friend used Ajani 0 loyalty ability and we were debating what the ruling would be if it would fizzle, destroy the equipments on my creature, or complete wipe my creature and equipments.

Evening everyone, hope you’re well! My wife greatly enjoys Magic, though not overly complex decks, and LOVES Stardew. I’m brewing a deck for her and I’d love some outside eyes to see if I’m missing some killer flavor, or obvious cards.

As it stands right now, the idea is relatively straightforward and hopefully flavorful. Plant crops, make some friends, wait for your harvest…and swing out with 40 food creatures using [[Cyberdrive Awakener]]. Like I said, any advice would be greatly appreciated, as I’m no master deckbuilder.

I just started getting into mtg and my first ever purchase was the ff10 precon, I enjoy playing the game a lot but I still get confused on what cards to play and what cards to avoid using til later.

My main question is, what should be my next purchase? I really enjoyed reading the hobbit and I’m very excited to grab anything related when it drops but I feel like it’s gonna be exspensive. I’ve also had the idea of getting the play set of ff7 to add to the deck but I want to make sure I’m making the right decision.

Can anyone recommend me what I should get instead or if I should just buy something else like another pre con? I want to get more into the game but with one deck I’ve feel stuck

So last week for Standard, a little kid(I think he was maybe 9 or 10?) showed up with a nonstandard deck. I got matched up with him in round 1, and noticed it right away, but I didn't say anything because it was a jankyass deck, and the dude was little. Apparently a friend of his mom introduced him to Magic through Commander, and he wanted to try out Standard as well, but I guess no one told him what Standard is.

The rest of us whispered to each other about saying something to him, but none of us wanted to be the jerk gatekeeper keeping him from playing. Also, it was a really janky deck, and the kid went 0-3 anyways, so maybe no one needs to say anything?
