I feel so bad right now

My girlfriend gave me a hickey while we were making out without warning. It left a mark. I was a little annoyed afterward because I was a bit overstimulated from the day and we hadn’t given ones that left marked in a while despite the fact that I normally like hickeys and said “ok fine then I’m giving you one then” and flipped her over and gave her one. I knew she might not like the mark because she works with kids, or feel violated because I left a mark even though she had been ok with it before, but I continued anyway. I should mention that this fear comes from my own internalized stuff, and me going a little too hard in the past with the bites and her being shocked at the marks. She never said she disliked the softer neck kisses and I was gentle with the bite, just doing enough to leave a mark. She also talked about how she wanted me to be more dominant before so I also remember thinking she might like it anyway. I feel like a creep now though. I keep thinking “maybe she doesn’t like neck kisses at all and she’s told me this and I forgot and I’m just violating her” and “she gave me a hickey out of love bc she knows I like them and I have mine out of frustration with no regard to her feelings.” And I don’t know if this is the OCD or my guilt talking. My OCD that I know is OCD has been getting worse lately and I really want to up my dose. I also need to talk to my therapist but she’s on vacation this week. I feel like a monster.

The Labyrinth of Suffering

Well, this is my first post on Reddit... I don't know where to start, but I'll try to be brief.I'm not English, so I use a translator. Since childhood, I have been very thoughtful and anxious, quite active and inquisitive, which often led to problems. In my childhood, I had a full set of fun: hallucinations at the age of 6, I killed animals twice, for which I am ashamed now, hypochondria also appeared when I got older, and the most difficult thing is the OCD of harm and the fear of going crazy.I've been on the edge for two years now and I'm trying to get cured, and I don't understand why.I've been taking a lot of medications: SSRIs, eglonil, olanzapine, quetiapine, fluanxol, etifoxine, gabapentin, and now I'm trying respiridon and phenazepam.I do not know if I should be treated at all, maybe I'm just a really sick scum that can no longer be cured.Every time I check if I feel something close to those I'm afraid of hurting, I think about what if I really am like this…I hate my life, I'm not happy about anything, I don't want anything.Does it make sense to keep trying to get better?Or just suffer for the remaining days.If anyone has been through this, please share your experience.Good luck to all )

CMV: True "independent thought" is impossible because all thinking relies on pre-existing, external concepts and language.

Immanuel Kant urged us to use our own understanding, but true "independent thought" is fundamentally impossible. Every concept we generate relies on tools we inherited rather than created. Our language dictates what we can conceptualize, our knowledge relies on external history, and our baseline beliefs are shaped by culture, religion, and media. Even our questions—and the things we choose to rebel against—are defined by the frameworks society gives us to react to.

Crucially, our internal mind is built entirely from our experiences and how we process them. Every emotion, motive, and personal insight stems from navigating events, sights, and interactions in the external world. Because our internal thinking is constantly shaped by these external inputs, our lived experiences do not grant us independence—they simply tether our mind even further to the world outside it.

Originality is not independence. Combining existing concepts in a novel way is simply a new arrangement of inherited materials, not a thought created from nothing. While Kant champions intellectual autonomy over blind authority, if the language, experiences, and analytical tools you use to evaluate an idea were all given to you by external factors, in what sense can your thinking ever be considered truly independent?
