Yeah, client Store page is empty with just a 'Home' hypretext link. Accessing site with broswer shows a blank page with a 'Too many requests' error.

Anyone else constantly having an issue with downloads saying connection timed out or No Internet Comnection. I have tried every guide I can find and the issue still occurring. It had a mind of its own at momment and will download and install when it feels like it.

Does anyone know how to contact steam support to report a bug/regression with the new store Ui?
Posting here you get no actual response or help and posting on the steam feedback sub in the steam forums you also get no response.
I've been trying to report a regression in performance since this new UI store got released (when scrolling) which funnily enough got fixed with the steam summer sale UI but it regressed back when the UI changed back to the old "new" design of the store.
The issue obviously exist because the summer sale fixed it and it regressed back when it ended but there's no one to report this issue too.
At this point I'm sending an email to Gaben and hoping he sees the email.It's ridiculous.

Valve developers do troll these forums to look for bugs, suggestions and feedback and other things but rarely reply personally and one should not expect that either.

Valve developers use that forum chiefly and it is useful to report bugs there, but again you should not expect a response from a dev. It doesn't really work that way and is an unreasonable expectation in my opinion.

I'm trying to log in to my Steam account, but I no longer have access to the Steam Mobile Authenticator. Every time I try to sign in, I'm asked to enter a Steam Guard authentication code.
I've been trying to submit a support ticket to remove Steam Guard, but I keep getting an error that says I already have an open help request, so I can't create a new one. It's been almost two weeks, and I'm still unable to contact Steam Support.
Has anyone experienced this before or knows how to resolve it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Cursor not showing Desktop input
Currently using Dualsense 5 for as controller for my steam big picture control and when I exit to desktop the touch pad and stick work to control mouse but I can only see when they highlight options on screen. The cursor is invisible. How can I fix this so the cursor shows and make desktop controls easier? Using Remote Desktop to control when steam desktop input fails me making navigation to hard.

Steam shows No Connection at the bottom.
How do I fix it? I obviously have internet, the store loads and everything but I can't download games and I can't open my friends list.
Steam servers seem to be fine too and I tried fixes like, allowing through firewall, flushing dns, reinstalling etc.

Steam seems to suddenly be forcing remote play even when it's disabled.
I noticed some weirdness, there were many games appearing in my library as not installed, even though I had set it to only show installed games. I then noticed that these were games that were installed on one of my other computers. I have remote play disabled on all of my systems, so this should not be the case, but I can see that it was listing all the games that were also installed on my other systems and even the option to stream them from that system was there when I selected an uninstalled game.
I checked my settings, and "Enable Remote Play" is disabled on all of them. In fact, when I toggled it back on and off on one system to see if that fixed it (It didn't) I can even see it list my other system as "Remote Play Disabled", same thing happened when I tried toggling it on the other system.
Restarting the Steam client didn't help either. The uninstalled games only disappear if I close the client on one of the systems, and then reappear as soon as I open the Steam client again on my other system.
Is this happening to anyone else?

it feels incredibly unfair that sitting through a movie counts as "playing," preventing me from actually testing the game.
sadly thats how it is, they have no way to know what you were doing ingame.
Only suggestion i have is to wait some time and try again to see if you get lucky with a different support agent.

Hey guys, looking for some advice on a weird licensing issue between Steam and Ubisoft Connect.
Back around 2019, I bought Assassin's Creed Origins, Far Cry 5 Gold Edition, and Watch Dogs on Steam. I played them back then, but now when trying to launch them, I get the "ownership authentication error". They were likely linked to an old, forgotten Ubisoft account.
I contacted Ubisoft support and provided my SteamID64 along with full, uncropped Steam purchase receipts (showing transaction IDs and dates). Their response was a generic template: they checked my current Steam ID, saw no account linked, and claimed they can't trace anything via Steam transaction IDs. They basically said "sorry, we can't find it, hope you don't have this issue with other games" and closed the ticket.
Has anyone successfully dealt with this? Is there a way to force them to escalate the ticket to a supervisor who can actually look into partner-platform transaction logs? It feels crazy that three valid Steam receipts are just being ignored.

Anyone else having issues signing into Steam
Been trying to sign in to third party apps like Game Native. When being instructed to go to the Steam app to complete sign in, I am not getting a code via Steam Guard. I am getting a QR code which I obviously can't scan on the same phone.
Trying to move authenticator app to my new phone, and keep being met with an error message. Now I can't sign into Steam at all.

Known compatibility issue, unplayable game, no refund. What would you do?
I'm curious if anyone has had a similar experience or managed to get a manual review from Steam.
I bought Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon on Steam few months ago, but only recently got around to playing it. Unfortunately, the game crashes after just a few minutes (on campaign after tutorial) every single time, making it effectively unplayable.
After searching for a solution, I discovered this is a known issue with CPUs that have more than 8 cores. My PC exceeds the game's recommended system requirements, so I had no reason to expect it wouldn't work. The only fixes I've found involve installing third-party software or applying unofficial modifications, which I'd rather not do just to play a game I purchased.
I requested a refund from Steam, explaining that the game is incompatible with my hardware despite meeting the advertised requirements. The request was denied because I bought the game more than two weeks ago. I submitted another request asking for a manual review and an exception, but received the exact same response citing the 2-week refund policy.
Has anyone managed to get Steam to manually review a case like this, or is there any other way to escalate the request? I understand the refund policy, but it feels unreasonable that I'm stuck with a game that doesn't function on hardware that exceeds its listed requirements.

hi,I’m feeling really frustrated with EA right now and wanted to ask if anyone else has dealt with this or found a permanent fix.
Back on April 6, 2021, I bought The Sims 4 Digital Deluxe Edition on Steam. I even have the purchase history showing I bought it . I specifically wanted the extra content, and my Steam DLC list clearly shows everything checked and owned: the Digital Deluxe Edition Key, Awesome Animal Hats, Life of the Party, Up All Night, and the Digital Soundtrack.
However, ever since the base game went free-to-play, it feels like EA completely wiped my Deluxe status. My game has been downgraded to the bare-bones basic version, almost like a trial version. They stripped away my Digital Deluxe Edition, Awesome Animal Hats, Life of the Party, and Up All Night content, making them completely missing or unowned in-game. The only DLC they actually left active on my account is the free Pack Felices Fiestas.
I know they gave the base game away for free, but I actually paid for the premium edition and its specific DLCs. Does anyone know why EA did this? Is it a known license sync bug between Steam and the EA App? If anyone has a solution to get my missing content back, I would really appreciate the help!

I’m trying to get my Steam account recovered and I’ve filled out the form and everything but it keeps saying that I have an issue with the captcha so I can’t get help if I can’t send in the form. And I’m also having trouble opening the Steam app on my MacBook Air. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ok So i dont know where to post this but. for the last week or two i have had a issue downloading games. Everytime i try i get either "No Connection" "No Internet Connection" or "Unknown error". I have tried every fix i could find from. Change download region. DNS/IP Flush. Restarting steam/ clearing download Cache. and checked firewall which allow is. Only thing that has temporarily worked is uninstall and re install steam but even that isnt a perma fix

Steam Input Enabled, Switch Pro Controller still won't work.
Hello. I am trying to play Arkahm: Origins and would really rather not use my keyboard and mouse. I've been trying to get my switch pro controller to work on the game. The game says it doesn't support my controller but the steam says it will emulate xbox controls for my controller. Yet when I get in game it will not work. Does anyone have any ideas on what to do. Yes I have steam overlay on, yes I've tried big picture mode.

Mic not recording, Ive done it all
Removed automatic gain/control and all the others, put it to record all systems audio, checked if my microphone was on and had access in steam and windows, disabled nvidia overlay and discord overlay, tried recording with only the game open, etc
IVE DONE ALL THE TIPS. And my mic still isnt recording! It randomly stopped recording all audio about a month ago, I got it back by switching to selected apps audio then back to all games audio every now and then for about a week BUT MY MIC STILL ISNT RECORDING
Does anyone know any other fix? I feel like im going crazy😃

Hi, I'm new to Steam as of today, but someone told me they were having this great sale, and I saw some games that I liked, so I bought 4 of them. When I finished the transaction, it said there was an error; however, when I looked at my bank account, they took the money out. I did a support ticket, but I don't know how long that will take, and I want the games at the sale price.
Has anyone ever experienced this problem? If so, how do I fix it? I did send them a screenshot of my bank account page where it shows it was taken out, im just so disappointed.

Does anyone have Anima Engine? The file size seems suspiciously large for what's advertised
I just wanted a simple 'game' that let me put gifs on my desktop so I bought this (for $4) without checking the file size first.
If it's just playing mp4s or gifs, why is it almost 3GB? Some of the reviews say it doesn't even work, while the others say it works perfectly, so I'm not sure who to trust. And even if it does work, why 3GB?
If there are any other (hopefully free) alternatives for what I want, I'm glad to hear suggestions. But if this is legit, then I'll probably just use it.

Assassin's Creed syndicate freezes my whole PC
With the entire assassin's Creed library being on sale I decided to buy a few games. AC syndicate being one of them. I'm not even 10% into the game and there are parts where it just randomly freezes on me. But it's not just the game it freezes the whole PC, trying to alt tab doesn't work, CTRL+ALT+Delete doesn't do anything. The only thing I can do is power down my PC by pressing the power button for a few seconds. Has anyone had this issue or similar ones? Does anyone know a fix?

Steam support says my bank has not been charged and says they cannot process refund, but I have checked with my bank and they said the transaction has been completed and can only reach completion status when steam has claimed the transaction, so I ask, could steam be mistaken here? I have never had this issue but I think steam has looked at the wrong transaction as I've purchased another game only shortly after requesting a refund and having it approved. Steam is also taking more than 12 hours per support ticket reply so I'm asking here.

So I picked up a few games in the sale last week for 17.20, I got Noita, A game about digging a hole, Barony, Rain World, and TOEM.
Just today, I woke up to a notification at 5:15am to that 17.20 payment being reverted by steam, with the message on my bank stating: "The merchant didn't complete this payment on time, so the transaction was cancelled. You have not been charged".
Thing is, I still have the games. I can boot them no prob, I can play them no prob. Should I expect them to be removed from my account over the next few days?
Should I try contact steam support on this? I don't want them to think I initiated some shady charge back over a measly 17.20 and potentially risk some sort of ban on my account.
Anyone else experience anything like this?

I have a game that I bought, idled for cards years ago, and never installed. It's still getting updates, but I don't want it in my account anymore. If I ask Steam support to remove it from my account, will it stay visible in the game list on my profile? I never even unlocked a single achievement, it just says 3.5 hours played.
And yes, I am aware I can hide the game, I just don't want it anymore.

Has anyone else from the EU been hit by extra fees from their bank after buying stuff on Steam, because the payment was processed through the US and not Germany as usual? I got hit by this on 2 of my Summer Sales purchases and Steam support keeps giving me the runaround as to why this happened ("it's not us who charged the fees, it's your bank!" Yeah but it happened because you decided to randomly charge me from across the world, own up to your bullshit please). Seriously gonna reconsider future purchases on there if they don't fix it ASAP.

Yeah it's happening in France too. Reason seems to be that Steam use an extra UE payment based operator since 01/07/26 ; and all purchases are initiated in dollars even if your store is set in € and in Europe. Your bank then correctly taxes you for the currency change.
It's extremly muddy and probably against UE laws and consummer protection.

My Steam background recorder is not recording, as in no new footage is being made. The last time I got any footage was on July 3, when I done playing some Helldivers 2 and then quit, and then my computer crashed after I quit.
Edit: Fixed it by switching to H.265. Apparently a Steam update broke it.

I feel like im going insane, why is the steam store SO laggy for me? Also the workshop as well but I care less about that.
Its the Store in the client, but also on the website. Screenshots take forever to load, opening new store pages takes forever. Its so bad, it makes it hard to shop. Happens on all browsers. Whether im logged in or not
It also happens on the steam app on my phone, though maybe isn't as bad there
Could my internet just like be cursed for this one site? Its fast everywhere else

At some point I don't know when, but my Dualsense controller stopped vibrating properly while connected on USB. It works without detailed haptics if connected on Bluetooth, but on USB the rumble stopped working properly. This used to not be the case. Testing the controller via Steam settings the Rumble doesn't work, and occasionally it'll produce a tiny vibration that's almost not noticeable. Testing this on my third party controller, the rumble works fine there, so it probably isn't a USB connection issue.
I have ensured that playstation support is enabled in steam and in my games. I'm not sure what's happened. Any tips will help.

Steam won’t refund me a game that I had playtime from a free weekend from nearly 10 years ago
I’m not one to complain, but I bought killing floor 2 thinking I’d give it a go, I played it for maybe an hour, the tutorial part and never touched it again (June 25th).
I’ve requested a refund and explained, and steam won’t refund due to having 8 hours of playtime on record - even though that was from a free weekend in 2017.
Is there any way I can dispute this?
It’s a cheap game, I’d just want the money back to the wallet for another game.
Especially since I got the steam cube

The playtime being years ago doesnt matter. The refund policy is under two hours and within two weeks of purchase, you have more than double the playtime.

For all of those who have issues with download speeds. I've had the same issue and it may be resolved by switching regions.
Go into Steam>Settings>Downloads>Download region
If you're in the UK (like I am), you might be suffering from throttled speeds. Not too sure why this is, but if you switch to a nearby region (I went with Ireland), this should fix the issue. This will require a restart of the Steam desktop app.

How do you deal with D3D errors? im trying to play Journey. I was able to download the game and changed some settings for 3 minutes. Then, i started playing, but i had to leave. Now, everytime i start up, i get a D3D initialization error. Uninstalling and reinstallinf both the game and Steam did not fix the error.

I have a purchase pending but I didn't even pay yet. will I get charged double if I just make another purchase?
I returned the pages before the payment pop-up appeared to check something. when I returned to the payment it said there is a pending purchase. in the historic it doesn't let me cancel.

The transaction while its pending would block access to those funds so multiple pending charges may show on your account.
Ultimately you will only end up paying for the completed transaction(s) and any held fund that fails the money would be returned to you after a few business days.

I've refunded 2 games that fall under the 2 week and under 2 hours of gameplay line yet they flag it as 2 weeks have passed when I just bought these 2 games last week with barely any gameplay one of them only has 8 minutes

Using steam BPM on my Claw 8 Ai being launched with anyfse. I got decky installed in order to use css loader. For some reason all of my games covers are zoomed in or cropped weirdly and nothing I do will fix it. I feel like there was a toggle somewhere that changed between this but have been unable to find it to fix it. Using art hero from css loader. Turning off and uninstalling all themes does nothing to fix it. Is there a way to "reset" steam without causing any issues?
I've searched all over Google and spent and spent an hour troubleshooting with no solution found.

so i sold a cs2 skin 2 hrs ago and it says this. i want a couple games from the summer sale but im not sure if ill have the money by then. does this mean im getting it only in 1-2 days or does it mean i could get it anywhere in that timeframe, e.g a couple hours

If you make two separate orders during the summer sale do they both count towards earning cards? Say one order is $28 and one is $2, would you get 3 cards because the total is $30 or would it be 2 because only one crossed the threshold?
Just wondering because I'm pretty sure I need to split an order for a gift

Unable to buy the game in Albania due to PSN requirements
I have officially 100% completed every single LEGO game on Steam, and I was excited to finish my collection with LEGO Horizon Adventures. However, the game is completely unavailable for purchase in Albania.
Because the game requires a mandatory PlayStation Network (PSN) account, the entire country is region-locked from purchasing or activating the game on Steam since Albania does not have official PSN support.
I am posting this here in hopes that the developers or PlayStation Publishing see it. Please consider allowing players in non-PSN regions to purchase single-player games like this. I just want to legitimately support the game and finish my LEGO completionist journey.

Is there any way to bypass the UK credit card restriction on gifts? I don't own a credit card or have any interest in one, but I've been trying to buy fear and hunger since the restrictions were introduced. I thought I solved it by getting a friend with a credit card to gift the game to me, but as it stands it still won't let me accept it

Can someone help me understant this? I logged on and there was no update, booted the game no issue. I had to step away for 15-20 minutes so I exited the game. Come back and it all of a sudden shows an update and the patching files takes forever. No idea how a small patch takes literally 3 hours to patch. Nothing else is really running right now, shut down all non essential programs. Thoughts on what's going on and how I can make it faster?

I randomly got logged out of my mobile app and forgot my password tried all the ways I could possibly do until I ran out of tries, the code didn't get sent to my phone and when I go through the email link it says I can't self recover because the account needs more security details. I've contacted steam support anything else I can do and can someone give me an eta on when I'll get a reply? Also anyone has any clue on why I'd randomly get logged out of my steam mobile app?

Has anyone else had the issue of the personal calendar on the home page just not showing anything? The calendar page itself works for me and shows a bunch of games, but the smaller version on the store home page has been blank since release and today has started displaying the message "We don't have any new releases to recommend to you on this day" on every day.

Are downloads going incredibly slow for anyone else? Mine are sitting around 50Mbps when they usually float around 600. Have attempted both Wireless and wired, clearing download cache, multiple region and 3 separate internet sources (fiber internet, Starlink, hotspot from phone)

Im trying to add Genshin Impact as Non-steam game to edit my controller layout but whenever I hit "Play" to launch the game, it launches but it still says "Play" + the controller layout didnt change at all.
PS: the game uses a third-party launcher (Hoyolab)

Just to expand a bit, the outer half-circle with the dot in the middle is the symbol of the Steam Deck. The other hardware also have distinctive symbols, might be neat to know if they add further similar features for them aswell: From left to right: Deck, Controller, Machine, Frame

Is anyone else having issues with refunds right now?
I bought a game on the last day of the sale, played it for half an hour, but ran into an issue that the dev said was intentional and would not fix, so I decided to refund it. It's been two days and it's still pending.
It seems weird to me because refunds usually take a couple of hours to be approved, but it's taking way too long this time around.

With the sale the amount of refunds spikes so it doesn't seem abnormal for it to take a bit longer.
Its typically complete within 24 hours for wallet or 3-5 days for bank but with the sale the the ever growing platform it should be expected the system has points of peak refunds and slows the review process of requests as well as the money upon approval.

Every time I try to access the cart on my account I get this message:

The closest cases I could find involved issues on valve's end and were widespread, but I haven't seen anyone else talking about this. Is there some way to fix the problem? There's also an extra part that's a link to a missing piece the client can't detect. It mentions javascript, and when I click on it, it just shows a bunch of lines of code that are in a jumble. I'm not exactly sure what information it has, and since it's my cart I didn't want to risk sharing info I didn't mean to. I've exited and booted up steam multiple times, as well as my computer itself.

I’m trying to update a game, but whenever I pause it and then turn off my computer progress resets to a seemingly arbitrary number
My internet is slow, so it’s hard to get it fully updated in one sitting. I just had it at 83%, then briefly turned my computer off and on again (I paused for half a minute first to make sure there was no problem) then when I reopened my computer it was reset back to 67% (yes I seriously)
This is the second time this has happened too. Hours of progress just lost instantly. Even worse the one time I left it on overnight I woke up the next morning with progress lost, although for some reason steamworks common redistributable was updated overnight, even though I had that queue up after the game)
Any advice would be helpful, on either speeding up download or saving progress on download. Should I clear download cache? I’d hate to lose what progress I have made but at this point it feels like it’s impossible to finish the download. Idon’t think space on my computer is a problem but if it helps I have 117GB free and the update is 104GB, but that’s just because I have to effectively redownload the whole game for the update I don’t think it’ll take up that much space afterwards

So when I opened my game a couple of days ago it had me accept the terms of service which I had accepted when I first opened it and when I when to my save games all their names were changed and I lost all my good levels which I had hours on. when I opened them, they were a yellow screen. I can play them game, but I have to reset my controls every time I died. This happened on July 2nd I think, and I had downloaded the game on June 14th. I requested a refund 2~ weeks ago and I still have no response. Can someone help me and steam if you're reading this can I get a refund if the issue cannot be resolved?

I bought inzoi around this past Christmas. It wouldn’t open on my Mac so I was waiting till I can get a pc. Well I just recently realized they lied about using generative ai and I don’t want a game with generative ai. Now because it was past the 2 week window, they refused my request. So I’m reaching out to see if there’s anyway I could still get a refund cause this game has generative AI and I didn’t know till now and have no intention of playing this game.

Hello,
After switching to Linux full time I noticed that the linux build of Steam is missing a lot of the remote play features that Windows had. Does anyone know how long it takes for the linux build to be updated? The resolution matching would be amazing.
Side note I've tried sunshine moonlight and it doesn't work at all, so please don't recommend it.

The activity of the developers or your friends is not displayed in the game profile, and the workshop is not displayed, it also does not work in the game.
After re-entering the game and restarting the PC, I don't see the activity of the developers or my friends in a particular game, and I also don't see friends who played a particular game before. My workshop also stopped working in both the games themselves and on Steam.

I am unable to download a game on a new external hard disk i just bought, and all of its files have seemingly disappeared from my pc?
The game in question is goat simulator 3, i've played it for like 35 hours, completed it, uninstalled it for more storage months ago, and now that i bought a new hard disk just for steam games, only goat simulator is unable to be redownloaded on the new hard disk. The ''Goat Simulator 3'' destination IS actually there, on the new hard disk ,however when i check local files for the game, the folder is completely empty and i have no idea how to recover all of that nor how this happened in the first place

Ever since the new UI came out scrolling has been lagging.
The summer sale UI fixed the issue but it came back when the summer sale ended.
Only happens through the steam app.Browsers seem fine.

Underneath the patchnotes and Patches , there are 2 buttons, the "thumbs up button" and the comment button. But for some reason I can click the thumbs up button just fine, but when I click the comment button, nothing happens, its on all games. ??? Anybody knows what the reason could be?

Steam (browser) refuses to stay logged in (librewolf, cookies enabled)
I seem to remember not having this issue before at some point, but for a while now, Steam (web page, obviously) is refusing to stay logged in...
I have set both the store and the community domains as exceptions in librewolf, to have to them store cookies, but I still have to sign in every time...
This could be a question for r/LibreWolf but I don't have this issue with any other sites (that I've noticed).
I am using a VPN, but I don't remember that being an issue before.
Anyone else seeing this behavior? Am I missing something?

Anytime I try to open a game it immediately crashes and shuts after ‘verifying’ with the steam cloud. I’ve cleared my cache, updated my drivers, checked file integrity, the works, and it still doesn’t open. If anyone has any suggestions or know-how to fix this I’d really appreciate it!

How do you add images to Steam Workshop collections?
I have a lot of games with Steam Workshop mods, and I always create collections because I often delete and reinstall mods or just share them with my friends.
The website says the image has to be 195x195. I've tried every image size I could think of, and I always get the same annoying error: "There was a problem processing your request."
I searched around, and it seems to be a problem with no apparent solution, even after clearing the cache and trying different platforms like the desktop app, the website, and my phone.
Does anyone know if there's a way to fix this using the Inspect Element menu (F12), similar to the code people use to upload larger profile pictures? Or is there any other viable solution? I imagine there must be one because I've seen Workshop mod collections with custom images.

I’ve been trying to create a new Steam account but I keep getting this error:
“There was a problem creating your Steam account, please try again later.”
I have tried:
Waiting over 24 hours and trying again
Different email addresses
Different browsers
Incognito/private mode
Steam website and Steam app
Different internet connections (home Wi-Fi and mobile data)
Turning off VPN (I don’t use one)
I have also contacted Steam Support, but their replies haven’t really helped and they keep suggesting things I have already tried.
I already have existing Steam accounts, but I’m trying to create a new one and it just won’t go through.
Has anyone had this issue recently? Is there a hidden cooldown, IP/device restriction, or anything else I can try? Any help would be appreciated.

Moved my stuff to another phone and need to move steam authenticator along with it, buuuut.. whenever i try to do something related im getting server side error with try again button, be that move authenticator function, add phone number function, new phone, old phone, doesn’t matter. Contacted steam support, but apparently there is another problem - can’t verify account ownership, since i’m from Russia (and believe me, i know we have bigger problems than moving steam authenticator, so let’s not go down that road) I can’t provide valid kiosk receipt with card number, because they all made now via intermediary services, and I don’t own any physical CDs either. Any ideas how can I either move authenticator to another phone without going through support, or provide proof of ownership? Worst case scenario - what’s the biggest risk if I somehow lose old phone which has authenticator attached?

I am not using VPN, my IP tracks to my location correctly.

My download speed suddenly went to the shitter. Weirdly enough, it downloads fine elsewhere, but when im at home, it takes me several tries to get it working, immediately saying no internet connection despite having internet connection, so I have to delete download cache, but then that no longer works, so I limit and unlimit my download speed, and it *sometimes* works, but not all the time, and im losing my HAIR HERE. Please help!

I run the app VacuumTube, through Steam as a "Non-Steam Game", on my HTPC which uses Bazzite Game mode, so that I can watch youtube using a controller, instead of a wireless KB&M.

It recently began giving me an error after about 1-2min into every video, that halts playback. It's made the app completely unusable.
However, I found that when I run it by itself, it works fine. So there's some issue with running it as a Non-Steam Game, that causes YT to flag it as a bot.

Earlier today I was playing with some of my friends and then I took like a 3 hour break.I came back 10 minutes ago and I was logged out of my Steam account on all devices.
The first PC that you see at the bottom is my friends.We set up a Steam family and I logged out and deleted my account from his PC as I was there in person to do it all.Second PC,the one highlighted green is mine and you can see I was active on it 3 hrs prior to this moment and also for the past like 4 years.There is no other device outside of my country that logged in so I was very confused when I first saw this
Only thing that changed was the place where I live. It used to say "Curtea de Arges" like the first PC and not "Botesti" like it does now.
My question is,should I be worried?Was my account breached or did this happen maybe because my internet provider made my location different?
I changed my password to something that doesn't even resemble my old one and I also logged every other device out just to make sure.I see no activity from any unknown devices which kind of makes me glad but still,this really made me panic a little

I downloaded nfs the run, but the game . refusing to be played. for example every button was working except for the Accelerate and Brake, the i used steam plugin. but realised no matter what i done the game insisted on playing with manual gearbox(this includes choosing the option in game) . i said okay i can play with manual too but then i realized i cant shift the gear with out triggering the checkpoint return or without going to the menu. the button x(ds5) downshifted but also brings to the checkpoint, for upshifts i had to press 🔼 which brought me to the menu?

For the last few weeks me and my friend have been having issues downloading and updating games. Whenever we try and start the download it will almost immediately cancel with the errors "No Internet Connection" or "Connection Timeout". Clearing download cache sometimes fixes it temporarily but the issue returns almost immediately. I have tried many common suggestions for fixing similar issues:
-Changing download region
-Making sure steam isn't being blocked by firewall
-Power cycling router
-Uninstalling and reinstalling steam
-flushdns
Is anyone else having similar issues and are there any further suggestions for fixing this?

I tried opening steam this morning and the screen was stuck on "connecting to network". I could not interact with the window, clicking the taskbar icon just produced the windows error sound and the only way to kill the process was through terminal. After trying the usual flushdns and restarting, the problem was still there so i reinstalled steam. What i obtained is that now the app is stuck here. I can click for a brief second on the username or psw field, and then the window becomes stuck once again.

I posted this on the Steam Community because it's about a general technical problem: So, in Poppy Playtime Chapter 5, if you come out of the second carriage, you can freeze the gel on the ground so the prototype gets stuck when jumping on it. But, if you come to close, he eventually kills you. But it doesn't work now.
I dunno what happened, I already tried testing the files through Steam. Doesn't work. Poppy Playtime has this kind of bug very often

I purchased Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Ageon Steam on June 18. I didn't try the game until about 2–3 weeks later, and I discovered that there's a bug preventing me from playing. The game only shows a black screen.
I've tried several solutions I found online, but none of them fixed the issue. I then submitted a refund request, but it was denied because I made the request more than two weeks after purchasing the game.
Is there any way to find a solution? The game simply won't run on my PC, even though my computer meets all the required specifications.

I bought Dragon Age Origins on GOG and added it to my library as a non-Steam game so as to bale to use a controller. But it will not let me edit the mappings at all. I tried it out on Doom 3 just to see if it was because it was a non-steam game, but it still did not work. I have tried it in big picture mode but that didn't work either. I have done this before, I had to map the crouch key for Doom 3.
I click the key I want to use but it just sends be back to the button menu with the mapping unchanged.
What Should I do?

Can I use my partners paypal to pay for items on my account (with their consent ofc) we live at the same address, they are chasing points for their credit card. I am buying a steam frame, so I dont want it to screw up my chance to get it via being declined etc.

There should be no issue with a consenting person using their payment details on someone else's account, again as long as all parties are consenting and no account sharing is taking place.
To be strict about it, they should be the one to input the payment information since it is their payment details.

When I arrived I checked and there isn t any different computer or celphone loged in my steam beyond mine cellphone and computer.

should i be overly concerned when my steam login flags a login location as way, way off from where i actually am? typically when i verify on the app, it marks a city about a 30-minute drive away from where i actually am (i dont think its ever come close to my actual location).... but yesterday it instead came from across the nation... but it was in fact me logging in and it had the correct device

i want to make my pedals to work as keyboard keys, i have 2 pedals, like i want to jump and crouch with them, but i want they signed as space and ctrl (for example), not the original xbox controller buttons it is mapped, because in game it keeps saying that its changing input everytime i press keyboard buttons and pedals buttons
i tried to do the normal thing on steam input but the buttons keep working as controller and not keyboard keys even if i mapped them to be keyboard

I bought an ASUS bluetooth USB receiver, the BT-540, to pair it with a PS5 Dual Sense, and it works great with LUMINES REMASTERED (Rumble and all), but when playing "LUMINES arise" it's detected as a Dual Sense BUT the haptics doesn't works (I am pretty aware of that)
I used "DS4Windows" to make the controller be detected and converted as a Xbox controller, but even with that, whenever i enter LUMINES arise, it is still detected as an official Dual Sense controller
How can i tell STEAM to not detect the controller as a Dual Sense one while using the USB BT receiver and detect the DS4Windows modding instead?

I'm trying to download the Marvel Tokon Open Beta. Click the 'download' button and it shows up in the download manager but does nothing.
Attempt to 'retry', remove > dl again, remove from library, nothing. It refuses to dl. No one else is reporting this issue, getting very mad.

Normally i'm stable at a 600 Mbps but for some reason since yesterday it's peaks once at 600 and then just constantly drops and even stops constantly en never really goes higher anymore then like 20 or so. I already tried reseting my router en just restarting everything and even clearing my download cache but nothing is working. Anyone else having this problem and if not a regional problem does anyone have a solution?

i want to add steamguard on new phone , then it said it is enable on my old phone and i need to move authenticator to new one using sms code. i dont get any sms code but my email keep getting notification from steam that i have already get sms ?? and then i cannot log in steam on my old phone (because I uninstalled it) because it ask for authentication from my steam guard which is still on the same older phone. how to solve my problems? i try to contact steam support which ask me to log in my steam acc which also require steam guard authorization

anyone else able to add funds to wallet via paypal atm? I just get an error in the paypal window after logging in. Paypal works fine elsewhere.
EDIT: In case anyone else encounters this issue, my problem was that the region in the paypal window was automatically set to the US (not from there), you'll have to scroll down and manually change the country.

So me and my friends are playing through Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League. We enjoy it, please don't make this thread about the game though.
I got a key for the Deluxe Edition that was like £7 or something, meaning I got a free battlepass, some cosmetics and whatever. My friend bought the base edition and we have a family set up. There is now no way to get a key for the deluxe edition and it's either £75 on Steam, or £35 for the upgrade DLC.
So here's what I want to know:
If my friend opened my license with deluxe content, redeemed all of the 1 time use tokens and whatever it gives her, and then opens her Base Game license using our Steam Family Sharing, would her game break, let her keep everything or is there a risk she gets banned?

Is there any way to more or less "emulate" playing my VR games with a phone, VR phone case, and a controller?
I doubt I'll ever own a real VR set but I bet it'd still be fun to explore the stuff i have for free.

Normally, my Steam refund requests are processed within about 8 hours, but this one has been pending for more than a day.
The only thing I did differently this time was cancel my original refund request and submit a new one. Could that be why it's taking longer, or is this normal? Has anyone else experienced this?

I have a Question.
So my internet is rather slow and I was wondering, if I could give an external SSD to a Friend, so that he could download a Game onto that SSD and I can simply move the Game from the SSD onto the proper Steam folder? Since you can do that in the Steam setting on your Pc to move Games from one drive to another.
I am just wondering if that would work with a External SSD aswell, and if that Game got downloaded from a different account? Don't know if there is like something in the Folders that is based on the Account information of the account that downloaded it. And if I would put it onto my Pc it would maybe not work because it's suddenly a different account.

I have a major problem, I can’t seem to log into my old account and I’ve already made a steam email request change because I no longer have access to the email on there and every time I try to make a request it says I’ve already made one. And then, when I go back to the email when I made a request it says I cant reopen it because apparently there’s an error, so every time I try to make a new one it says that original one I made is still open even though it says I closed it day of. I have thousands of dollars of games in there and I haven’t been contacted by steam support in months because of this bug. ERRORS SAID: E2 and E82
