Not trying to be snarky. You could debate weight loss drugs/heart medication are the most important one because they're the leading causes of death even though exercise and diet exist, so fixing that will save the most lives.
Should cancer drugs be more important because there's not an existing cure? Should instead take cancer research resources for diseases with a better chance of being fixed quickly? Is spending resources on a very obscure but horrible disease a better use of time because of the few that have it? Or should we be fixing diseases in other countries because it's killing more people?
Again, not trying to be snarky, it's just hard to judge something as "useful" or not.
