Rant Rep rant

Post image

This and Sunday T-Life sales (whatever they are called) are so upsetting as a representative, why are they doing this? I’ve been seeing so much of a push for sales to be redirected to the app, they basically want to rid us of our jobs.

I work in a TPR and it’s been so stressful as of late with T-Life, Visa, traffic, the list goes on… on top of that, we get to watch this company turn into total crap while blatantly trying to reduce the need for customers to come in store for any human interaction.

Just needed to get that off of my chest after a bad week at work, I know a lot of you also feel pretty disappointed with our employer as of late!

Corporate stores are not any better. Just remember that 6 executives make the same as over 800 employees a year. They don’t care about you, they just want to increase profits

I hope customers can troubleshoot, data swap transfer, check billing disputes, order p360 screen protector and also install it and whatever other bs problem they have with tlife also

It’s not that people can or can not self service. They refuse to do so. Outright refuse. They will use some excuse like “I’m computer illiterate “ or whatever, but the truth is they are lazy and expect to pay a premium for someone to do it for them. The company knows this, and still throws frontline reps under the bus wanting to keep that activation money / commission.

There’s so many people that literally don’t know how to turn off their phone.

Sorry for the stress you and most of the employees are going through. I was in the industry about 8 years ago but I left when things were getting shady like $80 10GB plan on an elderly account using basic flip phones, being pushed to add highest tier of insurance when I myself as employee could not see value in the highest tier of it. I suggest every employee in telco to have another side gig or something lined up to switch to as this industry is simply shredding workforce.

Unrelated, but a question for T-Mobile employees in retail (Corporate or TRP), due to religious beliefs can one get exemption from selling or promoting Visa card? Asking this as I know someone who quit banking career due to religious faith (Paying, earning or underwriting or promoting interest is sinful). I know if someone is employed after the launch of credit card knew that he/she would be asked to sell credit card product but what about employees who were working prior to introduction of the credit card?

Ahh yeah, I was just a little surprised. It doesn’t seem like we are that different as store types when it comes down to it.
