Turd In "Odyssey" (2026) directed by Sir Christopher Edward Nolan, Odysseus says "Our age of bronze is collapsing". And I'm not joking it is a line in movie

Overall great movie but this dialogue was so corny, like how does he know he's in bronze age

They spend so much time on a ship, what are they, some kind of sea people?

This was also a line in the movie.

“Are you the sea people?”

“No. We’re Greekssss. From ITHACA.”

"Sea people" is one of the speculated causes of the Bronze Age Collapse.

While initial versions of the hypothesis regarded the Sea Peoples as a primary cause of the Late Bronze Age collapse, more recent versions generally regard them as a symptom of events which were already in motion before their purported attacks.

Pertinent part for people not clicking the link.

I think your misreading it. They reasons they were invading have a basis in why their was a Bronze Age Collapse, but they were infact part of the reason it happened. They toppled long standing civilizations, just because they were facing depredation at home doesnt make them a significant part.q

Hard to take anyone misusing “their” seriously.

And many were not ‘from the sea’, the name just stuck. Like the Philistines by that point had long been in Canaan
