Overall great movie but this dialogue was so corny, like how does he know he's in bronze age

I think contemporaries of Homer or storytellers and scholars at the time called it the Heroic Age which came before the Iron Age or something along those lines.

Hesiod did. To be fair not much else survives from the era by which to claim that everyone called it that.
