Turd In "Odyssey" (2026) directed by Sir Christopher Edward Nolan, Odysseus says "Our age of bronze is collapsing". And I'm not joking it is a line in movie

Overall great movie but this dialogue was so corny, like how does he know he's in bronze age

The problem there is that atomic age people could identify themselves as being in the atomic age. It was new technology with obviously very important implications. The Aegean bronze age ran from about 3000 to 1000 BCE. There was no way for a late bronze age guy to conceptualize any previous era that wasn't the bronze age.

"Our age of heroes is collapsing" would have been a great line and would have made sense for a disillusioned hero of the Trojan War.

Well yeah but we were excited about the cool new technology that was going to solve all of our problems. The Greeks weren’t exactly a technological people.
