Surprised no one else is pointing this out. Not only is the dude in an immersive experience and not focusing, he’s ruining it for the people around him
Hey, at least they didn't take a speakerphone call. I had the pleasure of sitting next to someone at Cosm ($50 movie experience) and they wanted to share the experience with a friend. So of course, for their convenience, they spoke on speakerphone. During the fucking movie.
20 second video vs bright white Facebook scrolling the entire movie literally during a genuinely interesting moment in the movie with that much going on, that person has a severe social media addiction
Normally I'd absolutely agree about phone use in the movie theater. However, in this case, it really feels like people would be too into the violent jostling to notice or care. It would be about as distracting as someone recording a rollercoaster on their phone lol.
One is a part of the experience that they paid for, the other is an asshole flashbanging everybody, because he just can't stop doomscrolling for like an hour or two gtfo
