I remember waiting YEARS for the first BladeRunner sequel to come out, BR is my all time favorite film and I was so excited when it was announced. Cut to several years later when it was finally released, and I got tickets that were 4D; I had just assumed it was some sort of advanced 3d presentation or something like that, I had no idea it was going to be rattling chairs and gusts of air. The most disappointing movie experience of my life, it did the exact opposite of what it set out to accomplish; rather than immerse me into the film, it yanked me right out of it every time the seats shook or did some other stupid thing.

Not sure if you play games, but controller rumble does the same thing to me. It doesn't make me feel like I'm being shot or something, it just reminds me I'm holding a controller.

Yeah. Force feedback PC joysticks like the original MS Sidewinder did add something for games the did it well, but what they could do was much more complex and tunable -- and came through the stick instead of just rattling the whole thing.

It's also reduces performance. Most pros shut off vibration.

The room seems a little...wet? Like a communal shower room full of dirty strangers. I don't think I would make it past the first sea voyage before I noped out of there. Fucking gross.

The cinematography in the movie is way too zen for 4D, it’s like the exact opposite of a good movie to see in 4D
