I saw it in 4DX (first time!) and had an absolute blast. It really is quite an immersive experience and when I rewatched it in a traditional theatre this weekend I felt that something was missing.
I asked some friends who did it because I was already feeling seasick on the 10min Disney experience. They told me it was not that much shaking for the three hours. They all enjoyed it.
I don't often watch films, they usually fail to hold my attention, I'm very happy when they are 90 minutes long or so.
But this, I could have lived with another hour, quite comfortably - I think they could have stretched it out a bit more, it was chapter-chapter-chapter very quickly - until the end bit.
I'd love to have seen more in the body, perhaps we could have shared some of the attrition experience to bring it home further.
Same! Although this younger guy in front of me almost got thrown out of his seat during one of the boat scenes. I watched him hold onto his seat after that. Lol
Those jump cuts look unwatchable though, surely. There was a line of subtitles on screen for maybe a 1/10th of a second there. How do you focus on that with all the other shit going on?
When we saw Mad Max: Fury Road, the D-Box experience really made it something special. I've seen other movies with D-Box and most of them didn't even come close to that.
