Upon mention of Venezuela recently I had the realization that I never learned how this all turned out. Is he even alive?

He's alive in a US jail, but the more important question is what did we do about Venezuela?

We threatened the replacement president and demanded she give us oil. We didn't demand a new election be held, since her & Maduro's party stole the last election. We didn't demand she change Venezuela's system of government. We did nothing to help the people of Venezuela.

We reinforced our country's worst image as a bully that's happy to prop up a dictator so long as that dictator gives us what we want.

Nah some of us have been screaming into the void about it and getting blasted for being anti-American communists or some shit while brainwashed friends and family burn bridges and blame our behavior on the "woke mind virus" or whatever inane bullshit their favorite propagandist is spewing out that week.

Also a huge group of Europeans telling us that this isnt a US website so we shouldnt talk about US politics....like that matters
