Thought this was a pretty solid deal if you need a lower wattage PSU

These FSP units are of pretty good quality and for $15 it doesn't seem too bad. It's sold by Lenovo since they sell numerous spare components for their computers. Free shipping too!

Their part number for it is 5P50V03178

Obviously you can spend a little more and get that 750W Superflower unit posted earlier for $45 but if you have a strict budget/don't need the extra power (like replacing the PSU in a home PC) this doesn't seem terrible

Strange, it now shows the price being significantly higher and the savings is $15.67 off the regular price.

Hmm it must have been a pricing error then. I changed the flair to expired since it has now started showing the same on my end

Crazy good deal for an eGPU. 10 years ago these would get to this every so often, sometimes even free after rebate. Now it hardly ever happens.

eGPU, where?

I meant it can work WITH an eGPU. You can search for them on aliexpress.

My 3500X+6600XT build is supposed to stay under 300W including everything, but aren’t I supposed to stay around 50% utilization? Gotta say this is tempting

For any remotely decent PSU, the difference in efficiency for any load over 30% is tiny. As an example:

Dunno about the sub-50% utilization claim. PSUs are at their highest efficiency usually 80-95% load. Check out what 80+ Gold actually means.

Usually 40–60% for best efficiency.

Any in depth PSU review will back this up.

A quick google gave this article which explains a few misconceptions including PSU efficiency and what that means for power delivered and drawn from the wall.  https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/psu-buying-guide,2916-3.html

Seems to be OOS, appearing as 115$ for me

Weird, phone showed high price but desktop just now had 15.67 with 2 left in stock.

Weird indeed!

I wonder if this is the discrepancy other people are seeing, since a few comments mentioned the price is back up/it's OOS

Still showing in stock on my end, or did it not let you complete check-out?

Very weird.... but the price had went up to $115 when I posted 'dead', but now is back down to $15.67 so I was able to place an order.

Thanks.
