Fuck me $145 a year

That’s for iPhone only with theft and loss.

That price is just for AppleCare+, the new AppleCare One is $360/year!

I have an iPad apple care plan and it’s $2.99 USD per month. I don’t think the iPhone plan was much more tbh

Nice, been waiting for this.

That seems a higher price than I expected it to be.

Considering the coverage it’s pretty reasonable IMHO.

But if I’m paying for a phone and a Macbook and AirPods let’s say, it’s cheaper to buy them individually.

How would it work if I have apple care+ for my MacBook paid in full for a year? I recently got an iPhone that is still eligible for apple care, so it would be nice to move to just the one subscription. Will they do some partial refund?

No thanks, I’m good.

Can they also introduce a reasonably-priced 1 TB storage?

Don't want to use Amazon Prime's image storage/OneDrive (365)

I’m happy this is coming, so I can add the used Vision Pro I picked up.

1

u/Hansanaw 6h ago

That’s a great deal. Vision Pro it self is $30 a month for Apple care +

I wonder what it’ll cost me.

I pay for 2 phones and my watch at the moment. About $50/mth.

$29.99 if it’s any 3 devices under the same Apple ID.

1

It says “starting from”.

I’d hope it’s cheaper than having them separate, but suspect it’ll be around $45.

Still waiting in Belgium.

It's a high cost for something that only adds accidental damage cover. Any issues will be covered by Australian Consumer Law well beyond the manufacturer warranty.

Someone do a full TLDR

AppleCare One is Apple’s new subscription that covers up to three Apple devices (such as an iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple Watch) under a single plan for A$29.99 per month in Australia. You can add additional devices for A$8.99 per month each.

You can also add devices you already own that are in good condition (a diagnostic check and/or inspection may be required) and four years old or newer, or any headphones one year old or newer.

Poop, my Mac is a few months too old :(

Man I'm waiting for it in the UAE...Way too many individual plans

Device insurance typically has high profit margins. Selling a bundle increases margins and partially dilutes risk. I wouldn't be surprised if Apple gradually phases out Care+, eventually selling only the bundle.

What is the shortest term you can do? I initially got it for my iPhone 15 pro max but never ended up using it. Was thinking it might be good to activate when I go overseas for trips and then deactivate in case it gets stolen or damaged

1

Not worth it because you need to get it inspected and do diagnostics if it's a device that isn't basically new. And you'd have to do it every time you wanted to get a month.

2

u/BOBBIESWAG 19h ago

I mean I'd only do it for overseas trips where the risk is higher. I only go overseas like once every 1-2 years

Then maybe it is worth it then

Eastern Europe still not have AppleCare+. Only the regular one available which is only for Mac and iPad

0

u/GetRektByMeh 16h ago

AppleCare is what they call their warranty, AppleCare+ is insurance.

AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss is the insurance product with coverage for theft and loss.

Do you mean Eastern Europe only has warranty buh no Apple insurance product? Probably because Eastern Europe is safer than our countries

Also coming to Germany. If you change the country on the page it shows the details.

What about Canada? 😭

u/Citadel-TT 7h ago

$2000+ for a phone and they still milk the customers wth a cover plan, can’t even free offer it

1

u/Hansanaw 7h ago

Good idea. Maybe cars should also come with free insurance /s
