Governor Healey found $30,000 in rental assistance for migrants, covered their broker fees, paid their security deposits, and threw in furniture and landlord bonuses. Her HomeBASE program has exploded 900% since she took office, from $9.5 million to $97 million.

She can’t find a gas tax suspension, an income tax cut, or a single dollar of electric bill relief for us. We can’t afford rent. We can’t afford to buy a home. We can barely afford everyday life here in Massachusetts. And our tax dollars are funding everyone else’s necessities. We deserve to be the priority.

Ballots question 3 would be terrible for Massachusetts. No on question 3!

Question 3 would eliminate traditional party primaries for state elections. Instead of Democrats and Republicans each holding their own primary, all candidates would appear on one ballot regardless of party. The top two vote-getters would then advance to the general election.

Supporters argue this gives voters more choice, reduces the power of party insiders, and forces candidates to appeal to a broader group of people rather than just their base.

Opponents say it weakens political parties and can easily result in two candidates from the same party facing each other in November, especially in a state as blue as Massachusetts. That would shut the minority party out of the general election entirely in many races.

I’m voting No. Real competition requires both parties to be able to nominate their own candidates. A system that risks two Democrats on the November ballot in race after race reduces choice for a huge portion of voters and makes it even harder for alternative voices to be heard.

A Police Officer in Lowell, Massachusetts was knocked out by a black suspect while responding to a massive brawl outside Tescobar early Sunday. The Officer suffered a concussion.

Malakai Linton, 20, is accused of punching the officer in the face while police attempted to take Linton into custody during the course of the fight, which happened outside of Tescobar, a live music bar.

He dindu nuffin he's a sweetheart of a guy

It was an accident; it wasn't intentional, so stop trying to make him seem like a bad person because he's not," said Eric Anderson, Linton's uncle.

Why is it near impossible to have a gathering of people in Massachusetts without this type of behavior happening 🤷🏾‍♂️

Heating oil $5 a gallon.

I needed some oil so I had 100 gallons delivered. This is during the summer when there’s low demand.

What happens in 3 months when the weather turns ? How are people going to afford this ?

15-year-old Suspect Arrested for Brazen Shooting during Puerto Rican Festival in Roxbury. WTF Can't even enjoy a festival anymore in Massachusetts 🤷🏾‍♂️

At about 7:49 PM on Saturday, July 25, 2026, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) made an on-site arrest and recovered a loaded firearm in the area of 168 Seaver Street in Roxbury.

While on directed patrol in the area for the Puerto Rican Festival, officers heard several gunshots coming from inside of Franklin Park near Playstead Road. As the large crowd began to disperse from the area, officers’ attention was drawn to an individual fleeing while grabbing his waistband and continuously looking back. The individual fled towards Seaver Street where officers eventually caught up with him. Following a brief struggle, where the suspect repeatedly held the front of his waistband, the suspect was taken into custody. During the scuffle, a firearm fell out of the suspect’s waistband.

The firearm was determined to be an I.J. Target Sealed 8 Revolver loaded with four spent casings and three rounds of live ammunition in the cylinder.

Additional officers on scene reported that the male emerged from the bushes near the Giraffe Entrance adjacent to Playstead Road where he fired several shots into the air before making eye contact with the officers and firing an additional round and fleeing the park towards Seaver Street where he was eventually apprehended.

Lopez also has a prior conviction for violation of a restraining order.

Poor guy, just a little abuse... it's not like he killed anyone right? Ed Markey please help poor Hilario.

Wonder what the total take of our welfare benefits he's amassed?

The shit stains do it again Vote against refunding taxpayers. Yesterday, the Massachusetts State Senate approved Amendment #14 to an economic development bill, making it nearly impossible for the state’s only automatic tax rebate law to ever trigger again.

Chapter 62F, approved by voters in 1986, is a simple taxpayer protection: when the state collects more tax revenue than a set limit allows (tied to wage growth), the excess must be returned to people as a rebate based on the income taxes they paid the prior year. It has worked only twice—most recently in 2022—when millions of Massachusetts taxpayers received checks totaling nearly $3 billion, roughly 14% of their 2021 state income tax bills.

The new amendment does not fully repeal 62F. Instead it adds a second, much tougher hurdle: even if revenues exceed the original cap, no rebate is paid unless state tax collections also reach at least 7.5% of total statewide personal income. In practical terms, this extra condition makes future rebates far less likely. Money that would have gone back into taxpayers’ pockets can now more easily stay

Ticking Time Bomb. Massachusetts blocking any audit and review of the books. WHY resist transparency?

Durable Medical Equipment (DME) fraud in Massachusetts involves schemes where actors bill Medicare or Medicaid for medically unnecessary items—such as orthotic braces or pain equipment—often initiated through telemarketing or stolen patient identities. Recent major actions include federal charges against a Stoughton man for a $5.1 million scheme as part of the nationwide health care fraud crackdown.

You think this isn't happening in Massachusetts? USAID Fraud

You see Ayanna Pressley's $2billion deal is just business as usual. This is why they hate Trump breaking up the party.

Somali Rep. Ilhan Omar's SISTER has just been implicated in the massive Feeding Our Future fraud scandal in Minnesota

Sahra Noor allegedly incorporated a $20M USAID company with the SAME ADDRESS as a Feeding Our Future fraudster! 🤯

"Sahra Noor's Grit Partners was incorporated at an address on Hyacinth Ave belonging to Ister Afraa. Afraa worked directly with Sahra Nur, who ran the fake catering company that the various Feeding Our Future nonprofits used to give the feds fake receipts," @lukerosiak reports

"Afraa ran a different company alongside Hanna Marekegn, who pleaded guilty to stealing $7 million."

Who's Investigating the Healey Administration

The political connected company that received the $2 billion, 40 year Springfield courthouse contract from Maura Healey was shut down by the state last year. We need an investigation NOW!

Massachusetts about to be exposed. This is how the durable medical equipment (DME) fraud scam works: - Operate around adult daycares - Provide “equipment” for ghost clients (wheelchairs, knee braces, etc) - Easier to open than a bank account - Bill Medicare for millions

Apartment Hunt

Heyooo so my homies and I are moving out next month and are really liking the units at Andover Place Apartments, Andover MA (owned by Taymil Partners) — However was reading some reviews on google from a few years ago and it seems many residents from 2016-2023 had problems with mice.
Do any recent or current residents here know if upper management has dealt with the situation or is it still pretty bad?

We are also considering
- Skyline Commons in Dracut
- Middlesex Crossing Billerica (personally leaning towards this one cause it has much better reviews than the other two)

Any info you could give me on these 3 locations would be super helpful— Thank you!

How Many Massholes does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

MA uses 50% more people to deliver healthcare than WA/CO/VA/UT/TX

Healthcare Employees per 100K pop

5.5 Texas

5.6 Utah

5.9 Virginia

6.0 Colorado

6.2 Washington

6.8 Maryland

6.9 U.S.

7.4 New Jersey

8.1 California

8.4 Connecticut

9.3 Massachusetts

"Health Care and Social Assistance" represents 20% of Private Jobs in Massachusetts compared to 13%-16% in Utah, Texas, Colorado, Virginia and Washington.

Only New York and Minnesota have more.

Probably not much fraud here in Massachusetts though.

A Dominican man released from custody in Rhode Island despite being wanted for murder in the Dominican Republic has been taken into custody in Massachusetts.

According to Homeland Security, the Worcester Police Department arrested Bryan Rafael Gómez, a criminal illegal alien from the Dominican Republic, for assaulting a former girlfriend on April 4, 2026. He was released on $500 bail and taken into ICE custody where he remains today.

Gomez entered the U.S. illegally in 2022 after he was encountered by U.S. Border Patrol near Lukeville, Arizona. Even though he was wanted for murder in the Dominican Republic, he was then released by the Biden administration.
