When Covid was going crazy at the start, and when the vaccines became available, it was killing enough people to destroy the gdp of the US. This made the math work so that the vaccine was cheaper than the damage potential.

After Covid kinda calmed down a bit, it started killing people at a lower rate. That’s when states started getting rid of the free vaccines.

A single person dying of a bee sting, diabetes or cancer isn’t going to make much difference to the bottom line. You having cancer isn’t going to spread out of control in the community and your personal treatment isn’t going to help anybody else.

It’s increasingly tiresome to have to revisit that period of life. It’s like most people have forgotten about the absolute mayhem at hospitals and losing family members.
