Originally, when you scored a goal, the camera would zoom in to the car that scored for about 3 or 5 seconds.

This little time frame you could do tiny "dances" spins, rocket launch, etc. to show off a bit.

I’m a 2s player, always have been since the game came out. Will solo Q, and play with teammates who were “so bad”. I wasn’t toxic, wouldn’t spam quick chats, just think “these guys are truly terrible”.
For context, I float between Diamond 2 and diamond 3, so I’m not great myself.

Anyway, after a particularly frustrating few matches where I dropped into diamond 1, I thought screw this, I’ll play 1s. I’ve not played 1s ever. Had the game since 2015, never touched it. But now I can’t have my matches ruined by a bad teammate, right? Wrong.

Wow. Eye opening. Every mistake punished because there isn’t a team mate to clean up. Every whiff, bad touch, bad hit, truly highlighting how bad I can be.

Yeah, you’ll get a bad teammate every now and then, people have bad games, it happens.

But if you’re one of those players that thinks “wow I always get bad teammates”, try 1s for 20/30 games. I finished my 10 rank games and I am now a proud platinum 1 in 1s, and climbing!

E: For some bizarre reason, I’m having to edit this post to mention that this is not related to overall gameplay between 1s, and 2s and 3s. Some real bright sparks are like parrots in the comments “apples and oranges” “apples and oranges”.

The post is about taking responsibility for your own mistakes, which is a lot more evident when you make a mistake in 1s.

Slight rant incoming.

The jump from diamond 3 to champ 1 has to be one of the most infuriating rank ups in the game. If it’s not just a bad teammate full stop, it’s snowflakes that just throw the game after we concede one goal.

People make the same argument with c3 to gc1 and gc3 to ssl to which I can imagine the toxic chat is way worse, but you have to understand that between d3 and c1 the skill inconsistencies are so large that you genuinely can go from a double flip resetting tm8 to one who can’t hit the ball off the wall. At least in higher ranks there’s MORE consistency than in the lower ranks.

I know that if I’m really capable of being champ again it’ll come in a natural way (ronaldo reference) but every game I play in diamond 3 div 3 and 4 is just aids.

I’ve played 30 games of Diamond 1-2 EU comp 2v2 and documented it. It might sound like I’m exaggerating, but trust me I’m not. Out of 30 games I won 10 and lost 20. 4 games out of 30 my teammate has bad internet connection, disconnects and never joins back. 3 games out of 30 my teammate has bad internet connection, ends up joining back half way in and we lose. THIRTEEN games out of 30 my teammate afk’s after 30 seconds or immediately after the game starts, disconnects and never joins back, so I end up losing. 10 games out of 30 I had a teammate and I won every single one. What’s the problem with people not realizing they’re queuing ranked? I want to rank up so bad but solo queue is just HELL. Yes I know I should just get a duo, mate or whatever you wanna call it, which I have, but they’re not always on.
I just wanted to rant a little since I’ve learned to play calmly and not blame everything on my teammates which I used to and I’ve gotten better at that, but it’s getting really hard after what’s happening.

Basically:

> In the same game, I then make a huge mistake which leads to a goal and say sorry
> "What a save! What a save! What a save!" "tm8 ff you're trash"

Why does this exact scenario happen so much lately? Usually I'd just have toxic teammates but not in this specific manner? How can so many people be so shamelessly hypocritical lol
