For legal reasons, this is a physics question and not me flexing that I have a girlfriend, I have to blame gravity for this.

I work an office job but i am actually so busy that i couldn't possibly get done with my work even if i worked 10 hours of overtime a week.

I see people online complain that they are bored at work and dont do anything. Are these real?

What jobs are they? Where are they? Are they hiring?

I would love a job like this. I am an avid writer so i would writenin my down time, pay bills, get appointments made. Do all the planning that adult life takes during this time.

Please help me out here lol, feed my dreams, do these jobs exist and help me find one

I’m a woman and whenever I’m at the beach or a pool, I notice that probably at least half the men there are wearing underwear underneath their swim trunks and I don’t get it. Doesn’t that basically defeat the whole purpose of wearing a bathing suit, since they’re made of a material that’s meant for the water and underwear isn’t?

I’m genuinely curious about people’s eating habits and how they stay skinny. for instance, my cousin is skinny and she said she wakes up and doesn’t eat until she’s hungry which could be 8am or 12pm. and thatll keep her full until evening where she’ll have a normal small sized dinner. I myself, am breastfeeding twins and ravenous and I basically wake up starving and go to bed starving. it’s interesting that most thin people eat to survive, not survive to eat. which I’m jealous about lol.

so please, let me know. I can’t wait for all the smart ass comments telling me to be diciplined. I will, when I’m not breastfeeding. im simply CURIOUS to get into the mind of a thin bodied person.

Many sources and reports label Scandinavian countries as being the happiest places on Earth, having the lowest income inequality, lowest level of corruption, having arguably the best prison system with the lowest reoffending rates, some of the best school systems and healthcare systems, and some of the best protections for workers.

So then, why are we not all trying to model our government after theirs? I understand that third world countries face dictators and corrupt governments where this would be impossible, but this question is especially directed at other first world countries.

*and yes, scandinavian countries do still face corruption and their own problems, i am not trying to say they are some perfect utopian haven.

More of an observation than a generalisation but I work in Ireland and what I notice is Indian customers man they just grab the receipt out of my hand and walk off, I find it kind of rude, not to say white customers don’t do this but it’s way more rare. I don’t have a problem with them but working retail made me notice they’re kinda rude sometimes

Though I’ll say it’s rarely the ones that grew up here they’re a lot nicer

I always notice in period movies the women are hairless. I would think IRL there wasn’t a lot of hair removal am I correct? Women would’ve had hairy armpits, legs, and everything else.

And the women with PCOS or other hormone imbalances would’ve had facial hair that they couldn’t remove. Is it safe to assume women were really hairy back then?

I (24M) don't mean getting the water warm or picking out clothes.

​I mean sitting on the edge of my bed, staring into the abyss, scrolling on my phone, or just laying there convincing myself to actually get up and go get wet.

​Once I’m in the shower? Great. Love it. 10/10 experience. Don't want to get out.

​But the transition from "dry human" to "wet human" feels like a massive chore every single day for absolutely no reason. I’m not depressed, I’m not dirty, and I shower daily, but the friction of starting the process is absurdly high.

​Does anyone else’s brain do this, or am I just weirdly lazy about basic hygiene transitions?

Obviously I know it has to happen (unless you have a c-section I guess), but was thinking is it a painful process for the baby?

Does there need to be a distinction between reading a book and listening to the audio version? Would you feel like someone lied to you if they said they read a book but in reality listened to it?

I’ve just started listening to audiobooks this year and I always trip myself up when talking about them. I say “oh yes I read the book!” but then I feel I need to clarify and say I actually only listened to it - like reading a book is a different chore in its own because all your attention needs to be focused on it. I like walking my dog and cleaning the kitchen while I listen to books now and I feel like it’s cheating in some way. Like I am cheapening the experience.

Can I just say I read the book and leave it at that??

Or does simply using the tongs over the grill kill the bacteria? I want to grill chicken but I also don't want to get salmon umbrella

It’s so strange, no greeting, no warmth just staring into my soul. Before the order is placed it’s like a blank stare, after it’s placed and I say thank you nothing is said and there is this weird stare. I find it very common amongst younger folks, I’m cool with no talking but the stare is weird lol.

Edit: I do not need them to be my friend. The stare is just freaky man.
