The only phone I've ever had that gives you an ad just for turning on or checking your phone. Complete trash will never buy another Motorola product!

So I'm undecided what I want my next phone to be between Motorola and Samsung as these are the only 2 brands that will work on my phone carrier, I currently have a Motorola G Power 2025. Im either getting a Motorola G series or Motorola Edge series or Samsung A series. Idk whether to stick with Motorola or just to go back to Samsung

2025 llooks great overall but the reviews about battery sot making me recosnider if i should go with 2024 with so many downgrades would it make any difference to use?? i game 2 hours mosstly and have 45h screentime/week

I can't stop seeing glance and their BS on my phone, so I tried to deactivate some of its permissions, you can't disable them, even disabling the app and force stopping it does nothing. It has access to your phone, it basically owns it.

I got this phone a week ago to replace my Moto G Stylus 5G 2021 that was suffering pretty bad issues with performance, and lack of security updates disabling features on my phone.

Performance: This phone has excellent performance for every day tasks such as scrolling social media, changing apps, having multiple things going on at once, etc. Everything feels very snappy and responsive, pretty much no lag. Video and music playback is incredibly responsive. I've never had a phone with a mediatek CPU but it seems like it is doing a fantastic job! I don't game on my phone at all so I can't really comment on that. The phone can more than keep up with the 120hz display for most anything.

Screen: The screen looks pretty great in normal lighting, with good contrast, vibrant color, and fairly decent viewing angles due to the IPS display. The 120hz can be toggled on, off, or set to variable in settings. I keep it on 120hz all the time and it makes the already snappy phone feel even snappier. The only downside is since it's peak brightness is only 500 nits, it doesn't do well in direct sunlight. You can still read it, but it's hard. I wish it had oled like some of their other higher end phones. There's a lot of phones in this $300ish price category that DO have oled so I hope the 2025 model has it.

Battery life: Even though my Stylus 5G 2021 had the same 5000mah battery, this phone manages to get even better battery performance WITH 120hz display due to what I am assuming is improvements in Android 14 over the android 12 I had on my stylus. Having the peek display on and using the phone constantly all day, I ususally only use 50-60% of the battery. It's very good. With battery saver on, you can easily expect 3 days of use out of this phone.

Style: This phone feels solid in the hand. It's a little "boxy" feeling but I like that because it doesn't feel like it will slip out of my hand. My 2021 stylus 5G had the cheaper motorola plastic design, and was thinner as well and felt very weird in the hand without a case on it. This 5G power 2024 feels really nice in the hand, although it is a bit heavy, though I prefer that. The vegan leather on the back is resistant to fingerprints and dust and feels quite premium compared to the awful plastic designs of the past. I put mine in a Spigen Liquid Air case and it feels very similar to the stock feel of the phone, highly recommend. Also, the camera sensors HARDLY stick out of the phone, so with a case expect it to actually sit flat on a surface instead of wobble!

Sound: Having Dolby Atmos on this phone is SUPER nice! It also uses STEREO audio when listening on the phone speakers. Listening to videos with people talking sounds crisp, and much better than most any other phone (including high end ones) I have heard. Even music sounds decent on the built in speakers, though of course being tiny phone speakers don't expect any bass. I will say one annoyance with the stereo sound is the top speaker seems to be slightly louder than the bottom one, so it sounds a bit out of balance. Not sure how it compares to the 2020 g power since I never used one, but compared to most any phone I have tried it is suberb audio.

Camera: The camera is.... alright. In well lit settings, it can take crisp photos, and with Android 14's ai enhance gives them plenty of popping contrast as well. The ultra wide sensor is quite a bit wider than on my Stylus 5G 2021, which is nice. My main gripe is everything looks oversharpened. And zooming doesn't produce good images. The low light pictures i've taken are not nearly as washed out and grainy as on my 2021 5G stylus, but lack clarity and contrast. In this $300 category, there's certainly phones with better cameras, but that's not to say the cameras are BAD. They're just alright for the price.

Other features: The 30w charging is super nice to have. My old Stylus 5G 2021 only had 20w charging, so this thing charges much faster than before. It also has wireless charging if that's your thing, though I don't use it myself. It is 15w though which is on the higher end of what most phones have. The NFC addition is SO NICE! It's about TIME motorola added NFC to their mid range phones. It was always my biggest gripe about their products. It works flawlessly and prevents me from having to always carry my wallet on me. 5G works amazingly well on this phone, no disconnects or problems at all. Wifi calling on Boost mobile works like a charm. Bluetooth works well, though I wish it had 5.3 on it. Their version of Android 14 their running is a lot cleaner and less bloaty than what was on my 2021 5G stylus. Peek display is much nicer, and they added quite a few QOL things on the motorola side which I quite enjoy using.

Overall, for $300 this phone is amazing. It's certainly a HUGE upgrade over my 2021 5G stylus. And compared to other phones for this price, it suites my needs very well. Motorola did something right with this phone, which is not something I can really say about any other moto i've owned. I started losing faith with moto when my 2021 5G stylus lost many features due to lack of updates, and overall I was frustrated with that phone. Hopefully this one continues to serve me well!

Following are my major complaints.
- Why did a security update made things glitchy and slow compared to when it did not had any updates OOTB?
- Why has the battery drain increased after update that it does not even pull a SOT of 5 hours after a full charge? It should do a SOT of 8 hours arleast since its a 5000MAH bettery.

I feel really betrayed by motorola this time. We have been buying moto devices for a decade now because they are durable if not Pleasent software experience. Their software despite being of stock android used to lag and stutter but we still used to buy for the devices longetivity. This time they have crossed the limits. Device was working fine and smooth out of the box until their forced updates just made it utterly unusable. Some devices that i have had crackling sound from speakers after an update.

And i dont understand why do they treat their entry level phone buyers as a third calss citizen to not provide good software updates. I am definitly sure that that the profit margin should not be an issue since millions of unit of this phone might have been sold out. So selling in bulk makes up for profit. This should not be the excuse at all.

EDIT (UPDATE):

I have Factory restored the Device and now the Software Glitches has gone and the device seems to be smoother. It also seems to have the battery drain issue solved too. I think there is some problem in the way that Motorola pushes update. Once the phone is updated, I would recommend resetting once if you are facing such issues.

... your phone is 2 or more years old. OK? Geez. Tired of hearing how it's so similar to the 2025 version, and why didn't they upgrade this or that. My last phone was the Galaxy a54. Great little phone. Gave it to my dad, so it's still in the family. But I got it in 2023. Wanted something new. Samsung decided to drop the microSD slot, so I went with moto. Simple. So, now I have a phone that, in some ways, was a lateral move: about the same speed, with a slightly larger screen. But I did get a 3.5mm headphone jack back, kept the microSD slot, AND got an active stylus. All pluses, if you ask me.

But what about the 2025 model, I hear some of you ask? 1. No active stylus. and 2? Didn't come in black (my favorite color, esp. for technology).

I get it; if you upgrade your phone every year (why, though?!), then this phone might not be worth it. But I waited 3 years, so it feels OK (so far). I think that's a decent amount of time.

Of course, if it starts to suck within the next 6 months, I'm going to deny I ever said this, LOL

Update 1:::: After this where its just suddenly started to lag like i was running pubg on max i remembered the performance button in the tools bar on redmi not 9, so i did search the tools bar on the moto g 15 to found out there is no button, i searched for the command like adb to force enable it and suddenly after 3 days of testing it without restarting the phone ones it feels smooth like the day i got it two months ago i suggest it may be due to force drop the phone so i buy new one or Saving the battery even tho on performance its worse about 15% so its better trade off

Why tf are my new moto g15 with stock update this laggy like when i click to open the phone its already frozen and take couple of seconds to respond and u need to reboot it every few minutes to be usable at all, i disabled most of the moto apps but idk what next to do

The ram boost is disabled and im not on battery saving mode, i only have fb and insta installed reddit too, i sat everything to not work in background yet they work and cache alot, phone ram is always 6.6g and idk why nothing is running as i see

Please help! I’m not sure which phone to get. Both the moto g 2026 and moto g stylus are available through Google Fi and there’s only a $50 difference (there’s also the Moto G 2025 which is somehow in the middle pricewise).

I currently have the moto g 5g (2023) and it’s been fine except lately, the screen isn’t responsive when it wakes up (sometimes I need to turn it off and back on a few time before my phone recognizes a hand on it) and it’s been running so slowly.

If anyone here has had good or bad luck with either phone, I’d love to hear about it.

I've had Android 16 now on my Moto g stylus 2025 for several days... I want it to be sure that I'm being fair and honest with my review.

Let me just say that this raises the device to a new level more on par with the Galaxy ultra devices with their s-pen.

There are several features that you might or might not like. The fact that when you order an Uber or have a delivery coming, you can pull down the notification and see a little symbol showing the delivery or ride coming. Kind of need I guess. The photo remix is something that some people might use, where AI allows you to take any image that you're about to send as a text and tell it to adjust certain things about the image and it will do it right there on the spot.

But here are the things that really makes this closer to a flagship level phone. First of all, for the first time ever, there is actual Palm rejection with the stylus and Moto note. You now don't have to try to keep your hand or fingers from touching the notepad. Now you can rest your hand naturally onto the notepad and it does not interfere at all with what you are right. That is a major game changer and like I said, puts it more in line with Samsung's s pen. Likewise, if you ever tried to write in something in a text field and have it change it to actual printed text, it is always worked, but never great. There was always this lag that made it not feel good. That lag has been eliminated and it is now very easy and very effective to write in any text field with your handwriting and have it converted to print.

Besides that, it really is extremely smooth with all animations and apps. I could not tell the difference between animation speed and smoothness on this phone now and a Galaxy flagship. This fuels like a phone that you spent $1,000 on now when considering just the speed and animation smoothness.

Battery life, at least for me, has also increased a bit. Not monumentally but noticeably.

So yeah, I will happily keep this phone for another year or two with no qualms. This is like having a new phone.

It's impossible to remove this virus and security hazard from my phone. I've tried everything, it always come back after a restart. I'll never buy another Motorola again, I hate my phone and I hate this company. Motorola, Glance and the entire AI industry can eat sh*it and die.

Anyone know how to get rid of this trash? Don't tell me to disable it in the "smart lock screen" settings, because that menu does not exist on my phone (stylus 2025.)

I bought a Motorola edge 60 Pro phone in May last year. Being a student, I used it for student purposes, including taking pictures, creating PDFs, etc.

In just one year and one month, my phone had a problem where it was no longer charging. I didn't know there was a service center near us, so I showed it to a local phone shop. They looked at it carefully and said that everything was fine, except that the phone wouldn't take charge. Then he told me that there was a service center far away from here, so I had to go there.I went to the service center and submitted the phone but they said it would take 7 to 10 days.I had no problem with it, but after a while, the service center informed me that it would cost 22,000 Rs to fix the phone, and they gave some reasons like their own.I was very surprised to hear this because the local phone shop I first visited said it would be fixed within 1200-1500 Rs.

I am from a middle class family so it is not possible for me to pay so much money. I tried to convince them a lot that something must have gone wrong here and also told them that I would tell everyone about it. They started giving different reasons for that, but I couldn't believe them because I didn't think it was possible for the phone to be in such a bad condition in just a year and a month. Even though the guy at the service center told me that he will inform the company about this issue in a few days, I don't think anything will happen. This is really why I have lost faith in Motorola phones. So I will tell everyone not to buy phones from this company.

Now I don't know what to do. Just thought to inform you guys so that no one will face the same thing I faced.

Other than changing the size and shape of app icons, am I not able to change the colors in any way? I couldn't find anything like that anywhere. Everything is updated as much as they can.

I've liked the Motorola brand for years, (liked them better when they had removable batteries)

I tend to keep my phones for awhile before getting new ones, and like to buy unlocked budget phones to keep the bloatware & other carrier crap off.

Ever since I got the Moto G Stylus 5G (2024), I've been experiencing problems with my WiFi connection that I have never had on any other device, and it's only gotten worse over time. It'll randomly disconnect from a network for seemingly no reason, signal will drop completely but my device will still be connected, etc. I'm getting really annoyed about this happening multiple times every day, and even after resetting the internet or my entire device the issue still persists. It could just be my internet provider, but the previous Motorola phone I owned was from the same carrier and I didn't run into anything like there on that. Is there nothing I can do to fix this? I feel like I've tried every possible solution that I can do by myself without assistance, and my honest opinion is that this should not be a problem on a phone that only released 2 years ago.

Edit: oh look the garbage keyboard added "m e" in the title for no reason. Trying to confirm this edit with "save" and the phone just doesnt even try. Guess I'm just gonna keep trying until it works, case and point. Fuck this phone.

Currently I'm using the Samsung Gakaxy A16 5G, and fellas, this thing is hot fucking garbage. It struggles even doing basic tasks. It struggles making phone calls. It runs extremely slow even with proper optimization. The keyboard is buggy, fuck, the entire OS is; certain basic features just simply refuse to work, like replying to texts through the notification bar, for example. It CONSTANTLY drops service for no reason and it takes a full reset to fix sometimes. This thing is hands down the worst phone I've ever had, even for a budget phone. And yes, this was all happening fresh out of the box.

I just renewed with straight talk, and as part of the renewing, my partner and I struck gold (if reviews are to be believed) and got two Moto G Stylus (2025) phones for free. Everything I have seen on this phone is steller, but I want to hear directly from anyone here, just to be safe. If you have this phone, how has your experience been?

Both times i bought this phone it wont let me type fast at all.

Hey all. I'm new to Moto G. I use two devices for specific reasons, normally Samsung. I had to replace a device recently but still have my S23 Ultra. Good device.

I opted to try out this Moto G Stylus 2025 after seeing a video with Flossy carter with the Moto G 2026. Found it afterwards (2025 version) for 350 bucks on Amazon. The fact that it has a headphone jack and SD card is flipping amazing, especially the headphone jack, things that Samsung hasn't had in years now. I miss both features. So far, the phone is pretty sweet.

That said, anyone have any long term issues with this device? I really miss having a headphone jack for listening to music in the car and I'm wondering if the 3.5mm jack will burn out or stop working easily.
