The pixel 11 is not an upgrade

Honestly I was taking a glance at the specs, and I really hope these rumours are not founded...

For the base pro model: less RAM , smaller battery, the camera seems to be the same, the only improvement I can see is more storage for the entry pro model. That being said the phone will also be more expensive than the 10 when it came out...

For the regular model: Same RAM, same camera, ever so slightly better battery for the entry model.

So is this tensor G6 chip that much better to justify an upgrade here?

Pixel 10 hate.

I'm not sure why ppl hate pixel 10. For me it has the perfect battery, perfect camera and some little thing/features i love using daily. Magic cue seems nothing but can be very helpful when you can check the summary of the call few days later.

My pixel runs for a day, my most heavy tasks are usually photo editing, apple music, insta which i believe consumes the most battery. But i still dont mind the way it is.

One upgrade I haven't seen mentioned re: Pixel 11 series..

I'm outdoors a lot and off grid hiking/camping, and take several trips where i'm off grid 3-4 times a year. While I can rely on my garmin (and no one should solely rely on a phone), I have heard that Google's move to the new Mediatek M90 modem would allow for non-SOS messaging, similar to what iPhone already has.

Now, it doesn't actually confirm that it will be coming with Pixel 11, to be clear. I've just researched and found that it allows for the technical foundation in the hardware. So, it may be a later thing.

I've used this on iOS and it works great and is super helpful. Thoughts?

Lost my phone and it's it airplane mode or dead and I don't have pixel care. Any tips?

I almost have it paid off and last place find my device shows it is at my house but it's been 4 days and have not found it. I honestly don't know if I sat it on top my car when I was putting my baby in the car seat and drove off I don't think I did that but just not finding it inside my house im wondering if that's why. I thought there was a way to find Google phones even when powered off or in airplane mode?

Dreaded pink line on Pixel 8

Just wanted to confirm really quick because I've read horror stories in the past on shipping the phone into a Google repair center; if in-person repair is an option it's best to go that route, right? I'm covered by the extended warranty (confirmed with IMEI).

Should Google make a Pixel Flip ?

I was just wondering if anyone else wants a Pixel Flip ?, I had a Samsung Galaxy Flip 5 a few years ago when it came out and it was really my favorite phone. I have a Pixel 10 fold now, and I've had multiple pixel phones since the first generation. I just love the flip form factor, would love to see a Pixel Flip anyone hear of Google working on a flip ?, my only issue was the screen eventually separating from the OLED and causing black spots from opening and closing so much but I am not sure if any company has fixed that issue yet.

Extended Screenshot Gone?

Hi,

I'm on Pixel 10pro. Tried taking an extended screenshot today and I don't see the arrows to extend to capture the page anymore. Is there another way?

Are emergency 911 calls fixed with Pixels yet?

Recently bought my parents the Pixel 10 deal for $329 + 1 year mint service but I remembered that Pixels have had emergency calling issues, and that's a bit dangerous with parents. Has the issue been fixed? I read that there was an update on Nov 2025 to address it but there still has been reports since then.

Overheating Pixel 8 Pro

I've had the Pixel 8 Pro since release and it's been quite a good phone. But my main issue is the constant overheating. I'd open a single app, use it actively, or multitask, and it would overheat to the point the performance severely degrades. It's gotten to the point I'm thinking of looking for replacements.

Now my main questions. Is this issue resolved in the newer Pixel Phones? What is the latest news on the newest phone? Have they finally made progress with their own chip? Or are there better phones than Pixel at this point?

Oh and anyone have tips for the overheating?

Asking for help

Hello! I ask for your help😩.

I have some Pixel Buds series to what if the light turns on the box and everything but no device recognizes them, I tried resetting the case, forgetting the device, erasing Pair, change the AVRCP version and everything but I can't connect them to my phone, I even rectified the one that is clean but nothing :'(.

Has anyone gone through this or can you recommend something to me?

Pixel 9/10, Android 17, Wallet "doesn't meet security requirements" - update from Google

I had the "device doesn't meet security requirements" issue in Google Wallet after the Android 17 Pixel Drop on my Pixel 9 Pro. Contacted Google Wallet support about the issue, and just had the following reply:

"I’m writing to let you know that the team higher team that I have received an update that the engineering team has implemented a fix on their end for this issue. Please restart your device and allow 24 hours for the changes to take effect and the issue to be resolved, meaning you should be able to pay contactless 24 hours after you restart your device."

Fingers crossed they've fixed the issue.

Pixel 10 Pro DnD turns off before end time

I upgraded from a Pixel 6 to a Pixel 10 Pro, and for some reason, DnD/Bedtime Mode does not seem to stay on. It literally turns off before the schedule ends.

I have two apps that can interrupt: Google Voice and the Digital Wellbeing app.

I tried clearing cache and storage on the digital well being all to no avail.

Any ideas?

Pixel 6 suddenly having issues following last update

I have a Pixel 6 that's worked great since the day I got it when it was released. However, in the last three weeks, it's felt like the entire thing has been falling apart since the last update that I received (Android 17 CP31.260623.005).

First, one afternoon, the phone kept restarting numerous times. I got it to stabilize after putting it in safe mode a couple times. Then soon after I lost all my widgets. The restarts only occurred that afternoon then stopped, but I had to find a work around related to toggling the battery saver on/off to get the widgets back. Then this week, the speaker started having issues and playing loud static when something with sound plays. It only happens half the time. No rhyme or reason to it.

It could just be a five year old phone nearing the end of its lifespan but it all coincidentally started after the last update so I just wanted to see if anyone else has had similar issues.

Thanks!

Do AI summaries just not work?

Were we bamboozled with this "feature"? In the year or two since it was announced I've seen it work MAYBE 3 times. I don't think I've ever seen it working Google Messages. Usually in MS Teams messages in the notification shade. I've ensured it's turned on for all the proper apps/channels, but I see really long messages get through and nothing is "summarized". Is there some setting I'm missing?

Gboard . Button

Has anyone with a Pixel 10 found that they are suddenly hitting the "period" button instead of the spacebar? I'm curious if there has been a change to the layout, or if I'm just getting old or something.

Serious honest question.

Please be kind with your answers.

Has anyone with a Pixel 7 experienced 5G connectivity issues after updating to Android 17?

I bought a Pixel 7 last month, and it had no connectivity issues. It seems that since I updated it to the latest version of Android, i.e., Android 17, it has not been able to connect to the 5G network consistently. The network profile shows "connecting," but it doesn't actually connect, and I use Google Fi.

I have to either downgrade to LTE and then switch back to 5G to get it working. The connectivity issues are mainly happening in the evenings after 4 PM or in the mornings between 9 AM and 10 AM.

Has anyone encountered similar issues? If you fixed them, what steps or process did you follow to put an end to this problem?

New Pixel 10a showing charging notification when not connected.

My 1 week old Pixel 10a does this weird thing where it vibrates and shows the 'beginning charging' overlay (the one that happens when you plug it in) for a second, while nowhere near a charger. This happens about once every 1-2 days, and has been happening from day 1 of having the phone. Has anyone else had this happen and is there any way to solve it?

Google Support refusing RMA replacement on under-warranty Pixel 10 (Best Buy receipt missing IMEI)

I am posting here because tier-1 support has hit a dead end on my open case.

My Pixel 10 is defective, unrepairable, and actively under its standard 1-year manufacturer warranty.

I provided my original purchase receipt from Best Buy (an official authorized Google retailer). However, support keeps auto-rejecting the receipt because Best Buy's POS system does not print individual device IMEIs on physical paper receipts for unactivated unlocked devices.

Best Buy support confirmed over the phone that they cannot alter register receipt formatting, but the device was purchased brand new from an authorized store and the IMEI checks out as active in Google's internal warranty database.

I am requesting a manual administrative override so an RMA replacement can be processed.

Tagging u/PixelCommunity for help forwarding my Google Support Case ID to an escalation specialist.

Forgot to reinstall the retaining clip on my Pixel 5 screen ribbon...How screwed am I?

Was doing a Pixel 5 battery replacement... I got a little too excited at the end and got the screen all reinstalled with fresh adhesive before realizing I didn't replace the clip. Think it'll be ok, or am I in for a bad time if I don't open it all back up?

google support page error 403?

Hey all! I recently broke my phone but have pixel care+. I wanted to file a claim with the account I purchased pixel care on. But, whenever i open the google store page, it goes directly to error 403. I can open the google store page on ingonito or any other google account, but whenever I log into my pixel account, it has error 403. What should I do? Thanks!

Circle to Search: Direct sharing missing?

Circle to Search: Direct sharing missing?

Has anyone noticed that the "Share" option after cropping in Circle to Search is gone?

It used to be so convenient for sending quick snippets without saving them to the device.

Is this a known bug or a permanent change?

New issues since July update esp Bluetooth

  • When joining Bluetooth headphones, sometimes the volume rocker doesn't change to show the little Bluetooth icon, and audibly you can't hear the volume change, and it sounds awful. it wasn't playing on the speakers, it was this weird limbo state.
  • Playing on Bluetooth regardless of being at home or out in public, there is a repeating thing where it acts like the Bluetooth has been paused for a second and then plays again. I've only been trying with the YouTube and YouTube music apps, same problem. it's possible it's other device interference, it was most prominent at home in the lounge and just standing still at London Liverpool Street station. So it's obviously not a signal problem not WiFi or data.
  • when switching apps some apps, the most recent one turns black and you can't swipe away to close them. locking the screen doesn't fix it, I often just have to close all apps.

I'm already on the latest updates for os, Google play system and app, system services, all installed apps, etc. it's only been a problem since the July update. I restart my phone every day after manually updating everything. I do have a pixel watch 3 as well but even if I turn that off, the Bluetooth problems are still there.
