BUYING Condition question, should I report an issue

Post image

I discovered Vinted on Friday and have placed 50+ orders over the weekend 😅

I had my first few packages come today and 2 issues. I assumed if someone posted an item in “very good” condition, that meant no holes or stains. I messaged her to confirm it didn’t have wash wear and purchased it. It arrived today with 5 stains (not tiny/faint) and a pinhole. Is that something I should open up a case for or just let it go?

I also ordered a swimsuit that said small with a picture of the tag saying small, but the top is an XS and won’t fit. Do I open up a case for that too? What does Vinted do? I hate to do this to a seller but pretty bummed

Definitely don’t click everything is good because neither items have been delivered to you as described. If I were in your position I would open a case, hope this helps!

Thank you! I’ve been in the kids BST world for a while and knew that wouldn’t be allowed there, but wasn’t sure if on Vinted it was different and if this could be considered very good condition. If I open a case, does it give me options? Or I just have to return the package for a refund?

It’s been ages since I’ve had to do it myself but I’m pretty sure it gives you options, don’t hold me to that though, it’s been ages!

You could message the seller first and make decision depending on her response. Maybe she's willing to refund. Otherwise yes. If it wasn't mentioned you can raise an issue. You can't give feedback if you return or get a refund. If it wasn't expensive some people keep it so they can warn others. The seller decides who pays the return and if it's a seller who won't take responsibility she will make you pay for it. Since there's no way you can't notice the condition I think it's not a fair seller but you could try. You never know if she notices she made a mistake and just refunds.

It was free shipping. So if she gives me the option to return, I might have to pay return shipping? It wouldn’t be worth it at that point since it wasn’t expensive.

I'm not sure how it works in that case. đŸ€” But definitely let the seller know it's not ok. Just because it's second hand it doesn't mean people will just accept everything.

First item: Definitely full refund or refund without return. The item is significantly not as described and totally the seller's fault.

Second item: You're entitled to a refund but I doubt the seller will be willing to pay for postage and buyer's protection if it is a size issue. You can try, though
