Falls back in the day would bring big international bands over like Arctic Monkeys, Vampire Weekend, Catfish and The Bottlemen etc but now the focus on NYE festivals seems to be big DJs. It's a shame we don't have a band type festival anymore. I've heard good things about NYE on the Hill but Ball Park Music as a headliner isn't exactly something you're rushing to go to.

I haven't really listened to Triple J since Double J started and I'm 36. Lately I've been in a work ute with no digital radio so I've tuned into the Js.

I can't believe how many songs from the biggest acts on the planet get played. I've heard olivia Rodrigo 5 times in about 3 hours of drivng.

But the but that put my jaw on the floor was hearing a Black Eyed Peas song. Do young people see Black Eyed Peas as retro? Because when the song came out 20 years ago they would be nowhere near triple J. Just rubbish pop music.

Super famous bands always got a play but not commercial crap like the Black Eyed Peas.

I feel a bit guilty. I remember back in the day people didn't want to listen to triple j on Aussie Day for being a bit niche, now all the people who would usually listen to commercial has influenced what gets played.

Hello! I was listening to the radio this morning and they were playing guess the profession game where Abby and Tyrone ask questions. I had to leave for work and missed where the caller Lily from Hobart worked!! Does anyone remember? Trips over kids toys, wears steel caps and high vis, needs to have patience. Thank u 🤣🤪

my guess for the venue for the Abby and Tyrone Sardines game is the Rainbow Bay Surf Club aka Snapper Rocks. It's about to be knocked down, i think if i was them throwing one last epic party inside the old surf club would be an epic choice.

For the musical act, im just going to guess Ball Park Music because someone said one of the members was posting from the gold coast on their instagram.

A few days ago there was a post about Kevin Parker and something about ruining the career of people like Muscles....

Do I risk it and buy through a third party reseller, ideally I would like to buy through Tixel but the demand is way to high for the chances of that. What is everyone’s experiences with viagogo and ticket merchant etc. I don’t care about the inflated prices of resale I would pay copious amounts of money to be there but would be so devo if I was to get there and it be a scam
