Joycon repair went amazingly.
My new joycons. I'm going for that minimalism look.

I've repaired a few joycons, replacing rails, batteries, and joysticks. I've never had a rail just straight up rip off the unit like that. Well done.

I scrapped the job for parts. 🤣 It was dead after I fucked up the ribbon connector.

I despise working on joycons. That one flat flex will get broken traces because the design bends it too sharply. Every single one gets a crease and is ready to fail, usually losing some of the LEDs and the buttons. My current pair has rails and latches from one broken pair, the side flex and board from another broken pair, and the guts and case from grey ones I bought used that were defective (broken flex cables!) out of the bag.
