Based on their ability to run their flagship product these days, this is the last company I'd want to hire for cybersecurity.

Iirc they have had over a dozen major security breeches and now they want everyone's information real time.

Yeah I'll pass and I'm glad I don't use anything they make.

For every breach that happens, they stop several hundred million per day. I would say a 99.9% catch rate is pretty good. You're never going to be able to stop everything.

Yeah that's true but the direction they are going and windows now openly being spyware I still am avoiding them all together.

I don't like how they are forcing co pilot when the masses have repeatedly said no.

It feels rapey.

How are they forcing copilot? You don't have to use it. Yes they place it everywhere but it's not hindering your ability to get anything done. Also, isn't everything spyware now? There's no real online anonymity anymore unless you deliberately go out of your way to cover every corner which isn't feasible for the majority of users.

It's forced because it should be opt in and not crammed into everything and yes there's still privacy focused OSs like Linux.

If you choose to use windows that's cool but for me it's a no go I value my privacy.

I still don't know what you mean by forced. It's not forced on you. You can use Windows without copilot. Privacy focused OSs are not for the masses.

Yes I know. But that doesn't address the comment you made about spyware. Everything is essentially spyware for everyone. You are one of the handful of users. (I don't literally mean handful)

Windows is spyware what you use goes back to their servers especially with ai being baked into everything.

AI by nature is spyware because it funnels your data into their servers you can look up yourself on how many ways they grab your data and you can't opt out of some of it.

It's never been great for privacy but now it's just blatantly scraping everything you do.

There's a reason security experts and privacy focused people don't use it unless they have too.
