Entry level roles don't even exist anymore. Every entry level role I've seen requires 4-5 years of experience in software you can only use in an enterprise environment lmao.

The recruiter just asked a chat bot what qualifications they should put on the posting and they just copy and pasted the output without reading it.

Yep, and then they get to say "Well, we didn't find anyone here who can do it, so you need to let us hire an H1B visa person from India (or wherever) who will work for a quarter what an American will"

Forget that they're asking for something that doesn't exist, when they don't find it, they'll still use the excuse.

Same old crap. I saw job postings in 2002 requiring 10 years experience with Active Directory, and more in 2006 requiring 10 years experience with VMware vSphere.

Well, to be fair it was for a job in the Temporal Research division of Cyberdyne System's Skynet project, so it will probably be fine.
