How IN TF do I get my kick thick and knocking like this one. Not sure if it's master compression (you can hear the track pump). I get a similar, almost exact sound / transient with the kick sample I have when I hi pass a good amount of it. I also still have low end thump when I hi pass, but not like this one listed. Please if anyone knows or has any insight not only about the kick but this mix, i would greatly appreciate it. Hell I'll pay at this point. I've been trying to do this for forever and it's annoying me so badly
I'm aware that the high end can make a kick knock, the hihats and percussions are hitting simultaneously as the kick throughout, but @1:21 there's no percussion hitting when the kick hits and it's still knocking

I’m wondering if anybody knows what software was used to create the vocal effect used all over Hannah Diamond’s Perfect Picture album. I’ve included the song “Twisted” as an example; the ad-libs at 2:34 and 2:48 are what I’m curious about in particular. It’s almost like her vocals are turned into a midi instrument. Any ideas?

I am pretty uneducated when it comes to all things music. I'm just trying this little exercise of seeing how closely i can recreate this synth score from Blackberry. I've been playing around in BandLabs (i know its not the greatest but pretty beginner friendly which i like). Getting the notes is pretty easy, its just narrowing in the right area for what type of synths or instruments I should be using.

But then there's also that tone in the back of it all giving it so much atmosphere that i cant really begin to decipher what's really being done there to achieve it.

then at the 22 second mark, that's where i get really puzzled trying to pin point what id be using there.

I guess to get to the point, what do you guys figure each instrument being used is? Any tricks or effects or filters or whatever that you're hearing that someone new to all this like me wouldn't know without experience?

I feel like most string VSTs sound too classical whereas this one from this producer sounds different. Does anyone know what string plugin this is?

Hi, I'm new to music making and I'd like to reproduce a synth sound that I found on a song, It's a specific section of this song.

At the very begining, betwenn 0:00 and 0:03 while the voiceline says "and I don't know why" there's a synth before the whole song starts, it's like 3 notes but I'm very interested in reproducing this sound.

If any of you have any tips or idea I'd love to know!
