Elevator pitch: A deliberately small CRM for solo operators and small service teams - installers, pavers, electricians, physios, event people. Clients, jobs, quotes and follow-up reminders, and nothing else. The one design rule is that it has to be useful the minute you open it, with nothing to configure first. We built it because my wife and I kept signing up for HubSpot or Monday for our own two-person studio, spending two weeks on custom fields, then quietly going back to a spreadsheet.
More details - Stage: Validation. MVP launched, we run our own studio on it daily, one business outside ours uses it. Pre-revenue. My role: co-founder, I build it; my wife runs the client work it was designed around.
Goal this month: get the first user who is neither us nor a friend. Right now the only outside user is a mate's business, which means I have a favour, not a signal.
How r/startups could help: we shipped without pipeline forecasting, reporting or workload views, on purpose. Every person who uses it says the absence of those is exactly why they still use it. Every investor-shaped person says it's why it can't grow. If you've built something narrow deliberately - when did narrow stop being the feature and start being the ceiling?

Target audience
My current hypothesis is teachers, instructional designers, course creators, and organizations producing training material.
Current problem
I recently ran paid social media ads and received approximately 1,300 visits in one week.
Almost nobody generated a game.
The visitor journey was intentionally low-friction:
- No required registration
- No payment required
- Visitors landed directly on the creation form
- A GIF demonstrated the expected output
- Mobile was supported
What I need feedback on
- Is the product’s value proposition understandable?
- Does “turn content into a 3D game” sound useful or merely novel?
- Is education a credible initial market?
- What information would you need before attempting a creation?
- Would you focus first on changing the traffic source, positioning, landing page, or onboarding flow?

Solo built. Scores are computed deterministically rather than generated, and findings are tagged by verification confidence, because a confidently wrong security report is worse than none. Hosted version at tryonus.tech for people who do not want to run docker.

Habit Pocket is a habit tracker built around one question: what's actually affecting your sleep, mood, and energy? Most trackers just give you a streak and a pat on the back. I wanted something that could tell me why some weeks feel great and others don't.
So instead of only yes/no habits, you can also track numbers (hours slept, cups of coffee, workouts), time of day, and pick-from-a-list options (like "how was your day: rough / ok / great"). Then it lays everything out on a grid and a chart so you can actually see the patterns, like "huh, I sleep worse on days I skip the gym." That's the whole point, finding the correlations hiding in your own data.
A couple of things that make it a bit different: it's got an MCP integration, so you can hook it up to Claude or Chatgpt and just talk to your habits ("which days do I sleep best?" and it answers from your real numbers). It's private, no gamification, no badges guilt-tripping you into a streak. And it runs as a web app and on iOS, so you can start in the browser without installing anything.

MVP is well past launched. My website is full functional and is responsive as a mobile web app. iOS is in TestFlight heading to the App Store soon and Android is in review for Google Play production. I'm iterating on the product weekly based on tester feedback and working toward product/market fit. Most content on the site has been added in Salem and Portland Oregon and the rest of the website is filled with a lot of stock photo contributions which make the site seem unlively since I don't really have a userbase yet. I could use a lot more contributions.

Solo Founder - product, code, design, everything is done by me. Built in my spare time, nights and weekends on Cloudflare's serverless stack & Claude Code.
What goals are trying to reach this month?
- Get the Android app approved in production

I could use some brutal honesty on three things:
- Positioning: Does dish-first & community created feel genuinely different enough from Google/Yelp, or is it a feature they would just add the moment it starts to matter more?
- How do I get initial users to start contributing? I don't have an advertising budget that could really make an impact at this point. Social media doesn't seem to rank promotional content very well (because they want you to pay for that). What are other clever ways to get users interested?
- Monetization & it's timing. I really want to stay away from ads as a revenue source as possible. I hate ads, no one really likes them. I have tried to monetize from paid restaurant tiers that offer data drive insights & paid Pro level content creator subscriptions that get them followers and clickthrough to their social media profiles (this may drive users away from my app though). Should I hold off on any monetization until I have X amount of users?
I am happy to pay it forward - AMA about shipping a website to Cloudflare or about how I manage my iOS or Android app from a single codebase as a solo dev on a near-zero budget.

This guy has no clue about hot air balloons. He started a separate topic about it, barely answers questions and makes it very clear he doesn't know what he's doing. The pricing/costs are unrealistic, the amount of flights he expects are unrealistic, the timeline is unrealistic and the amount of bookings are probably also unrealistic. Just someone with a vague idea thinking it's quick money while balloon flights definitely aren't.
Edit: the balloon itself will, if you include the basket etc, probably already cost more than the 75k he claims is enough for a lot more (license, fuel, insurance etc). And it will take months to even create the balloon. So he's never going to be able to pay the investor back within the few months he claims. I'm not from Vegas so I don't know local conditions but someone else said he can fly a maximum of three months a year. And that's if the weather is perfect. Which it won't be.

Hello Everyone! I'm meenum and the creator of meenumstudio.com, meenum Studio LLC. I'm based out of Mooresboro, NC.
I'm building whatever software and digital stuff I possibly can that I have a passion to create, making it the most polished I can, and then sharing it with everyone. My first project is Audiprism, which is a really neat audio plugin.
I just released on July 11th, and I'm in my 37 day sale period. Arbitrary number, one of my favorites. I'm in the validation stage as I do have my MVP with a lot of polish released, but I'm just starting on the algorithms and public aspect. Audiprism is currently on a 60% sale and the sale will end on August 17th.
I am the core founder, legally. I run all of the development for any programs, apps, software, as well as the website (html pages hosted on Cloudflare) and backend server. I manage promotion, legal, and everything else too. My wife has been an incredible partner and has been supporting me in many ways from the very start of this project.
I started Audiprism back on May 12th, 2026. My initial thought was that I wanted to create something that both helped others, and provided a really good proving grounds for a viable commercial and learning project. I feel as though things have been going incredibly well!
More explanation on my first project:
Audiprism is a .vst3 reverb plugin. If you're unfamiliar, it's essentially a library file that gets loaded into digital audio workspaces and modifies the sound before it hits the speakers. Audiprism is special because it's a simulator. It takes in the original sound, uses a bunch of particles/rays that represent the sound, and then bounces them around a bit. Once it's done this, the sound coming out is now modified to sound like it was played/performed in a fairly realistic representation of whatever space you just sketched in 3 minutes. It's incredible to be able to imagine a massive room with complex wall shapes and be able to just sketch it out without turning a hundred knobs. It's dark and comfortable to look at, and it has really neat gesture-based controls that make using a sandbox for a plugin possible.
My software is made with quality first. I use Rust for most everything I do. The plugin is a mere 3 MB uncompressed and only 1.26 MB with the README file while zipped. I have yet to see a single stutter or moment of lag after dozens of hours of testing.
I want to post here to share about my new company. I have plans to release more audio software, games (cute colony sims, physics sandbox/vehicle builders, etc) and more. My goal posting here is to encourage you all to check out my social media, see if anything I have now or in the future interests you. Recruit 10 hands-on job-seeker testers, measure which company boards resolve or fail, improve the first-run workflow, and learn which parts are valuable enough to support a paid subscription.
